to add to that: hazel and green eyes have a secondary yellow pigment which isn't melanin, it's not even a protein, it's a fat. it can vary in its amount over time, and it's governed by different genes than the ones that give you blue/grey/brown eyes

God/alien/creators of life in the univers are sending kaiju size angel robots to purge humanity. Humanity only defence are lobotomize kaiju angel robots piloted by underaged kids. These kids are girl clone of main protagonist mother. She has expression of waifu pillow. A redhead jailbait cunt. Total jobber. And Shinji. He is...lets just say having father who forces you to fight in giant robots battle (while secretly trying to resorrect your dead mother who can make the world ends) while you go through puberty and everybody else is lying to you to make you fight in giant robots battle is a recepie for one big neurosis.
Basically it tried to subvert anime trope of teen kids piloting giant robots by showing how devastating effect it would have on teen kid mental health. But waifufags, running out of budget and mental breakdown of its creator had turned it into one of the most discussed anime. Also tons of name and visual christian reference but they were added just for rules of cool so there is nothing to gain in digging into it.

If you ever actually took the time to talk to someone on why it's deep, the judeo christian themes are the last thing they're going to cite. And if they do cite it, it's because they didn't actually understand the show.
Anyone that knows anything about the show is fully aware that Anno included it mostly for the visual aspects, not to make any real religious commentary. People think the show is deep because it covers the human condition far better than anything you just listed.

The original scene (barely visible here) was Homer at the candy convention, securing his and Marge's escape by kicking a vending machine to get a soda, opening a packet of pop rox, and combining the two in order to make a massive explosion
What this person has done is transplant Homer into a grocery store (not even sure which one, clearly not the Kwik-E-Mart. I think the one where Burns was shopping for cereal and catsup?)
and then deck him out in the burnt chef hat and apron from the time he was fixing Burns' breakfast as Smithers' replacement.
As you may recall, everything he tried to prepare burst into flames, even when he poured a bowl of corn flakes (hence this Flaming Moe's edit )

That's what happens when a program overstays its welcome. Mr. Burns was a mean-spirited man who was quite old, but also at times capable of some humanity when you least expected it, then they just made him "he's as old as we want the joke to imply", hence why Burns moves in and out of being as old as Abe to being well over a hundred. Similarly, you had Moe who a pretty chill and nice guy despite his short temper and willingness to punk his patrons, then they just played up his "ugly guy" looks and he's often implied to be suicidal but in a "funny" way. With that said, there were plenty of the side characters who were just one-note jokes from the get go, like the Sea Captain and Dr. Nick.

Hard to say. When hardly anything changes in the world of a cartoon over many decades, that can certainly make it difficult to stay fresh and interesting. And while it would be tougher to actually make the characters grow up and change, it'd at least mean that they undergo change. While the show does update the setting to reflect the last few years and trends, it just feels like it's doing it to stay relevant rather than remain entertaining.
