Moon shouldn't have been desperate(unless the writers want viewers to think that the events of the past few seasons pushed her over the edge) and the whole thing feels extremely out of character.

I feel like Solaria should have been the mastermind, possessing Mina from beyond the grave.
The kingdom was okay but Moon probably felt that the Mewmans were getting shafted. Even then, she had her own kingdom/colony for the Mewmans who were disgruntled about the changes. There was no need for allying with Mina and creating more Solarian Warriors.

At this point, I feel that the writers realized that Mina wasn't intelligent enough to be a credible threat and had Moon assist her to raise the stakes.

Glossaryck has no interest in good or evil use of magic. Just so long as it's used is enough for him to continue not only existing but thriving and expanding his sphere of influence. His every action has been to further the spread of magic. At the hands of the good and the evil. Whoever he has thought would spread magic the quickest.
