Daredevil, a red headed, blind, Catholic, Irish person, was literally the 1960s version of a black pink haired Jewish trans person.
Now stop bitching about diversity.
Daredevil, a red headed, blind, Catholic, Irish person...
And Claremont was a literal socialist kike who grew up in a kibbutz.
The difference being that his comics were moderately well written.
Also diversity wasn't just a codeword for brown.
Nigga what?
Also the problem with modern diversity isnt the diversity itself, its the fact that it comes at the expense of the narrative of the story. Its political grandstanding in service of the authors ego, not in service of the work.
>blind
>red head
>catholic
>Irish
All were marginalized groups back in the 60s.
Just like black jew trans now.
I mean... No. Not really to any remotely comparable extent, no.
user Irish were literally just as persecuted as blacks and mexicans at the time.
Yeah, but daredevil actually fought crime instead of "um, sweetie"ing established heroes for brownie points.
No they werent. Not in the 60s.
You're thinking of fucking 1910 or some shit.
except he didnt say how much of a catholic he was every other panel
Maybe in the 30's, but by the 60's the melting pot was in full effect and the civil rights movement had already happened cementing the "black vs. white" mentality.
Okay? Miles,Silk and Iron heart are still shitty characters tho.
Or we can't talk shit about shitty characters because Marvel was already filled with shitty characters decades ago?
trans aren't a race or a religion, it's a personal taste
dont fucking compare my ginger brethren to niggers you cunt
How long until we get our first furry pedo superhero?
tails is a hero to many mate
coming soon
That is basically batman
>Implying a redheaded Irish Catholic in NYC is the least bit rare
Kek, OP is a faggot
>furry
no
>pedo
i want to defend bruce but when you retire a lad at 21 and replace him with a younger male 4 times in a row, people are gonna start talking
>furry
>no
Every animal-themed superhero is a furry.
Even Animal Man?
nah cheetah is human(ish)
doesnt count bro
Is Croc humanish too?
How about Orca?
Or Man Bat?
No, he’s just a straight-up zoophiliac.
id consider them all humanoid creatures so yeah
Killer Moth?
Catman?
Copperhead?
He doesn't choke-fuck dogs and deer corpses.
not sure who catman is but that ticks my fetish
and killer moth isa dude in a suit and copperhead is jsut some lass isnt she?
People were flipping their shit about Kennedy, because he was Catholic. They sincerely believed he was going to turn America into a Theocracy that took orders from the Vatican.
I'm talking about the actual Copperhead ,the guy who hugs people to death with his limbs and tail.
That's just typical Protestant rambling.
ah the snake type person
thats not furry mate theres an actual; name for liking anthropomorphic reptiles, scaleys maybe?
Did... did Batman fuck them all?
Figuratively
But yeah you're right, but most people don't really recognize it similar to they don't recognize pop culture references because the relevance is far removed and Daredevil, or these X-men are just characters. Similarly political statements in comics, nor reactions new, reactions are actually the point so your stop whining is pretty shortsighted itself. And honestly not all criticisms can just be dismissed as baseless racists.
It also doesn't help the modern social machine is the way it is.
>Daredevil, a red headed, blind,
Daredevil isn't fucking blind. His Radar Sense functions off the electromagnetic spectrum. He just sees with his brain, not with his eyes.
>Catholic
>believes in Thor
>Irish
He's from fucking New York
>person
Comics aren't real, user.
>>no
Faggot he dresses in a god damn bat costume and fucks cat women. He is a furry.
Figuratively or literally?
murdock is a british name so im gonna guess he is from irish decent since his ginger hair
you do know NY had a massive influx of irish a few hundred years ago?
latex and kevlar is not furry its bdsm if anything mate
Shut up, Tom King. He dressed that way originally to scare criminals. It was a pragmatic move.
New York isn't in Ireland. He's as Irish as the Statue of Liberty.
Doesnt make it not furry.
He has a pretty fucking big obsession with bats, user.
I mean for the past 40 years now he's also acted like a bat.
I want violence to be performed at you
Batman dislike bats, though.
Not really
DECENT
IRISH DECENT
hes fucking irish
i was born in england and have lived here since but im fucking ginger because my grandfather was irish
cant fight it, hes fucking irish
Yes, really,
No, not really.
Yes, fucking really, you cheeky cunt. Batman dresses as a bat because bats are something that used to scare him as a child. It's full on psyops shit. It's not about him identifying as a bat creature.
yes father
i must become the bat
>basing your entire argument of the Batman character around a Nolan movie
>Batman dresses as a bat because bats are something that used to scare him as a child
my father always said dont talk about stuff you dont know anything about
i give you the same advise mate
But the Statue of Liberty is French...
>IRISH DECENT
Nah, a decent Irishman would be born in Ireland. He's an American.
Which is based on the fucking comics. Nolan didn't invent the idea of Bruce being scared of bats. Read the Man Who Falls.
>decent irish men
if only mate
>is citing Batman Begins in order to make arguments about the comic book character
A good story, but that doesnt change that historically Batman became Batman because of an entirely unrelated incident, which is consistent between reboots.
>But the Statue of Liberty is French...
The chad correction is
>But the Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey
France isn't in Ireland either. Like I said, as Irish as the Statue of Liberty.
no one fucking counts the movies as cannon
If we ignore that, than the previous example was the fact that his father dressed as bat for a Halloween party and cloaked a thug during it, later on inspiring Bruce to dress the same. Either way it has always been based on inspiring fear on criminals using a scary visage, and not about fucking.
Guys, Batman became Batman because of the Gray Ghost.
By which I mean Zorro.
Mother fucker how caual ARE you?
How do you not know the origin of the Batman identity? What the fuck is this?
You're trying to turn Batman into a furry. Get the fuck out of here. Batman's a cool daddy. He's not goddamn furry freak.
we call it "nu/co/" where all you need is bad taste and hint of shitty politics behind you rather than years of comic appreciation
There literally wouldn't be any Unites States of America without France.
HOW DO YOU NOT FUCKING KNOW ABOUT "YES FATHER, I SHALL BECOME A BAT"
HOW ARE YOU THIS FUCKING CASUAL?
good point
>People were flipping their shit about Kennedy, because he was Catholic.
oy gevalt. good thing they didn't kill him because of that
Kennedy wasn't assed solely because he was Catholic.
I know. It was a sarcasm. It's just that I forgot where I am
I fucking know about that. Everyone knows about it. It is still a meaningless point. Because nothing in it signifies that Bruce is a furry. He wanted an edge in fighting crime, and the bat appearing at his window served as omen (and to remind him of his past experience with bats or bat regalia).
>>I fucking know about that.
You obviously didnt faggot.
And for fucks sake it was a joke, i was making a fucking joke and pushing the joke because it clearly annoyed you. Yes i understand DC doesnt intend Batman the character to be a furry, i was making a fucking joke about him wearing a "fursuit", having a "fursona", and fucking another "furry" because of the obvious parallels.
But holy shit you're a fucking stupid casual retard, read a single comic once in your god damn lfie. I cant fucking believe you cited that fucking Thomas Wayne shit when i mentioned the "consistent historical origin behind the batman mantle", holy god damn shit.
Wow. There's no reason to be mad or be so rude. And the furry faggot here is you.
>ignore my casual spergout because i only saw the Nolan movies and read Fandom.Com
>you are a furry for making a furry joke
Nothing wrong about being furry, other that i find a bit creepy, but you don't have to act so hurt and be so defensive because you were caught in the act.
Im not a furry you dumb sperg.
>start insisting exhaustively about Batman being a furry
>get super emotional when proven wrong
>is not a fury
Come on.
You're on the spectrum right?
im not a furry youre a furry
no youre a furry
no you are a furry
grow the fuck up you losers
I'm not a furry, so no.
He fucking started it.
>>He fucking started it.
How fucking old are you?
B-B-B--BUT HE STARTED IT
you sound like a fucking child
>not a furry
>dresses as a bat and fucks a woman dressed as a cat
But redheaded Irish people's identities weren't the sole product of abstract vies for social media attention and self-righteous "PREACH" moments.
Also as much as I'd love to claim oppression points being a descendant of Catholic immigrants shit really wasn't as bad in the 60s as it was in the 1890s or some shit.
its all latex mate
if it was fursuits id say i was wrong
as ive said its bdsm if anything
You know those two arent mutually exclusive right?
>He fucking started it.
>the '60s
Yeah, the 1860s, maybe.
When DareDevil came out... did they have a bunch of newsoutlets run stories titled "move over WASPs, there's a new hero in town" or have writers go out of their way to state that "Daredevil is just the smartest bestest superhero out there, he's smarter than mr. Fantastic, stronger than the Hulk, and if you can't accept that, you're probably just a bigot."
Did Daredevil get a ton of promotion based on the boxes his identity ticked off, or did they sell the character as a person and a hero first and a minority last?
Same goes for the X-men, when they showed the all-new all-different X-men, they were exactly the thing nobody would expect, and the only reason they worked is because their stories were like every other superhero story. Yeah, their origins came up time after time after time, but at the end of the day. Storm was just a compelling character with strengths and weaknesses, who grew as a character whose flaws helped define her further. She made mistakes and acknowledged them. Same goes for Colossus, who subverted the stereotype of being the angry strong russian, and turned out to be a gentle farmboy with amazing strength and strong ties to his family. Yeah, they were minorities and their status as a minority got emphasized numerous times, but there wasn't a push behind it in the media telling us these characters were better than all other characters because they were minorities.
The stories told were basically the same stories you could tell with other characters, their identities weren't what defined them in the present, it was what defined them at the start. Everything after that just got built on that foundation.
Today, your purple haired trans lesbian blackwoman is all those identities first, and only. Every story told has to mention that all these identities are somehow what makes this character worthy of being a hero, not the actions of the character, not what the character does, but what the character is.
Why does Riri Willams even exist when Tony has friends like Pepper and Rhodey that can take up the Iron Man name.
A character based off of Bendis' adopted daughters.
shark girl
>not sure who catman is
This is the state of modern Yea Forumsmblr
You're clearly on the furry spectrum
go back to your rooms you two! and no supper today!
yeah. people are shallow nowadays. nobody cares about the personality, only about your looks
Miller making Matt's Catholic faith an important facet of his character in the '80s actually put a pretty interesting spin on the whole superhero morality thing.
Can't wait for it to be removed entirely for his inevitable MCU reboot so as not to offend Chinese values
>religion, it's a personal taste
good thread
Man, there’s alot of retards in this thread.
Holy fuck you're pathetic.
