Why are normal human even afraid of having super fucking power. Sure, sometime you get a nigger who grows nipple on his forehead that leak acid but it is just the card you drew.
Some of you faggots are ass ugly anyway, why not be ass ugly with super power?
>Muties
>Not the badguy's
This board has gotten even more annoying to talk about X-men with lately what with the people getting triggered over SJWs, LARPers and downright retards whining about boobs all the time.
Its just so easy to co-opt, the intended message is clearly from the left and can be appropriated by sjws but at the same time when they had a teenage Muslim
girl calling Scott “literally Hitler” and he’s this white chad trying to save his race from genocide and it’s so obvious how Rightclops appeals to white nationalists. It’s pretty hilarious how Marvel seemingly doubled down on the whole thing for awhile.
Cyclops was right.
Marvel can talk all the shit they want like the pathetic fat nerds that they are.
But we now that he was right.
No one will ever be able to convince me this wasn't drawn by someone trying to get readers to hate Inhumans.
literally what were they thinking
They tried to make people like Medusa as a protag by having her cuck Black Bolt in the most shameless way possible. Marvel editors and writers are THAT stupid.
It's legitimately amazing how bad they were at handling all of this.
youtube.com
I kinda get the idea behind this. They wanted to portray Cyclops trying to fight off something that is affecting his life negatively and Medusa trying to protect something that is affective her life positively, but... yeah. It's fucking genocide.
It's at the point where I don't know if I'll ever be able to like new X-Men stuff again.
Spinoffs and X-Men in other books (like Sunspot in Ewing Avengers) maybe, but the core X-Men shit is beyond saving.
Every time Marvel try to portray Cyclops as being wrong about something shit gets fucked so badly in execution that he comes off as the one sensible character in the story.
The most recent example that comes to my mind is the Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, a comic showing an alternative time-line where Spider-Man never unmasked himself during Civil War or something and is still married to Mary Jane, with a daughter and everything.
There was an arc that showed how the X-Men were living in this world and for some reason Professor X was alive, Wolverine and Jean Grey were married and with a daughter, and the mutant were all well-integrated into society. The kick for all these wondrous changes? Professor X fucking mind-wiped the entire world into forcibly accepting mutants as well as not raising a ruckus about super-heroes being unmasked or needing a license. So because Cyclops was against the whole deal things between him and Jean went south, she eventually got with Wolverine, and the rest is history. The comic tried to portray Cyclops as an angsty cuntish loser who's against everyone being happy, but the whole thing came off as a fucking nightmare scenario.
>scarlet witch turning off X-gene is genocide
>just destroy the terrigen Inhumans don't need their powers
>using the mist on people against their will is wrong
>just phoenix up some new mutants xgene or not we gotta get those numbers back up
>you're saying all I have to do to survive is take out the x-gene and live life like flatscan?
>nope not even once
Why are mutants such hypocrites
The point about the Phoenix Force is that Scarlet Witch wishing the mutant gene away went against the natural order of things, so the entity decided to head to planet Earth to destroy it as punishment. So it was less about restoring the mutant gene, although that was a benefit in Scott's eye, and more about avoiding the destruction of the planet.
Genocide is good
Kamala never called Scott 'literally hitler'
That... can't be true. Marvel can't be THAT stupid.
The Inhuman push was really fucking bad and it's best we just ignore it as a whole
Didn’t she try to fuck teenage Scott?
>Why are normal human even afraid of having super fucking power.
They aren't. Fuckers were literally running into the Inhuman fart cloud hoping they'd have enough Inhuman DNA to mutate, not die in the process from not having enough Inhuman DNA, be one of the 25% that don't get horribly fucked up bodies, and be whatever fraction of that actually get superpowers that are worth a damn and not something awful like skunk powers like that one poor chick got.
You have to keep in mind that Marvel civilians have an average iq of 60 and the disposition of a rabid weasel.
>there are mutants under the radar who are powerful enough to nuke cities, wipe the human brain and even alter reality
>nah this is okay, but let's keep gun laws
Mutants are too powerful to be left unregulated.
>scarlet witch turning off X-gene is genocide
Didn't a bunch of mutants die because they no longer had powers to defend themselves which but mutant haters still considered them mutants after that?
>destroying the mist is genocide
So fucking stupid.
Here's Medusa vowing to hold Black Bolt accountable for war crimes for unleashing a biological agent that turned an entire kingdom into mindless monsters followed by hero porn of Medusa and Black Bolt at the end of the same story arc.
AvsX was enough to make him the badguy. Everything else was just adding more shit to the pile.
>implying it wasn't.
Who are you to argue with Marvel? Inhumans NEEDED that mist. Just look at all the good it did for them.
Imagine being a regular old person hit by the mists and turned out to be a Inhuman. Suddenly you're part of this retarded kingdom that basically worships their royalty as if they're gods.
I genuinely don't understand how the Inhuman royals are allowed to exist by the rest of the super community. Black Bolt alone is the world's greatest terrorist. You'd think somebody would have lost some loved one and pulled a Namor on his ass.
>nigger
Why is it so hard to just say savage or barbarian?
>You have to keep in mind that Marvel civilians have an average iq of 60 and the disposition of a rabid weasel.
Readers tend to forget that marvel civilians live in the world where a 9/11 is a normal Wednesday. And they don't have a real Superman and a Batman to keep all the other heroes in check. In fact, the Marvel super heroes are now organized in tribe groups that are often in competition with each other.
Civil war, The illuminati, schism, Avengers VS X-men, Green scar Hulk, ecc ecc. Can you imagine the average mood of a marvel civilian now resigned to living in constant fear?
the DC universe is no less dangerous but DC civilians still believe in their heroes. In the Marvel universe this trust has now been lost many years ago, but they have no alternative.
Nigger
Professor Xavier or Magneto can kill mankind if they want to.
Aye. Who is/was morally strong enough to verbally beat every other super into cooling down and listen for a moment?
Eh, Marvel civilians mainly just hate mutants, the Hulk, occasionally Spider-man, and mutants.
The Avengers and other super teams are popular as fuck.
So could Jocasta. Nobody gives Jocasta shit.
>Who is/was morally strong enough to verbally beat every other super into cooling down and listen for a moment?
I mean that's basically Spider-man's job. Also Deadpool's job if someone's being a bigger dickhead than even him.
That's why I identify as transmutant like my nigga John Sublime
Kamala's not even in any of these panels.
it's a different approach. DC super heroes are gods who strive to be human, (yes, even Batman). Marvel super heroes are humans that enjoy, literally, playing with the gods.
They are equally valid, but I think the Marvel civilian is more stressed and deliberately more cynical for narrative reasons.
it's annoying how many new characters were being created during that time. hopefully, they will all end up killed or in limbo, I wouldn't even mind a "deinhumanization" event to remove these pests. There are way too many superpowered being in marvel anyway
At the very least the whole thing has made me like Cyclops a lot more. Before it he was my least favorite X-man.
>The Avengers and other super teams are popular as fuck.
sometimes yes, sometimes not. this is a very meme opinion
Still not enough.
>Sentient bacteria
NOPE. Biggest bullshit ever.
>You're too powerful for your own, and other peoples, good, let us tell you how you can exist.
And this is the exact reason why we have rebellions like the Brotherhood. NOBODY likes having their human freedoms restricted, or being told what to do, or else. And this is without the obvious realism of the gov't conscripting, blackmailing, brainwashing, or what else, to use for their own purposes. Because why would any logical gov't kill a super powered individual that are "powerful enough to nuke cities", when they could neutralize them, train and/or modify them, and drop them off to nuke someone that would benefit them?
Yeah, I gotta say, my immediate reaction to the Inhumans coming to pick me up and take me into their cult would be to tell them they can go fuck themselves.
I'm surprised that didn't happen often during the story. Everyone was just... fine with it.
The point is most people are actually jelly as fuck. They can't stand the idea that other people get something nice. Then there's also shit like religion - you can bet American Christians would reee the fuck out about mutants, because they can't stand anything that reminds them of how evolution is real.
The thing about nukes is you can deactivate and dispose of them. Also, they don't have emotions and follow strict mechanical guidelines.
You get a mutant with reality warping powers born in your country. One day it throws a tantrum. Oops! There goes the neighborhood...literally. You can't disarm it. You can put a bottle on it, but there's always that chance that one day it could go rogue. Many X-Men have done it either by joining Magneto briefly or becoming a Horseman of Apocalypse. Living creatures, unlike guns or bombs, are fickle. As long as that mutant lives, you are risking the lives of millions every day.
Power corrupts and who has more power than mutants?
>Cool with Thor and his entire pantheon coming to the US
>But not evolution, that's just a step too far for our religious sensibilities
It's probably more to do with the race angle mutants push. That kind of thing makes a lot of people uncomfortable from the get-go, and can only get worse when a concentration camp victim is one of its prime proponents. Nobody would care if they all claimed it was a government conspiracy or aliens.
Also, IF I was a mutant, the first thing I would do is join the government to discretely hunt down or spy on other mutants. I wouldn't want dirty power mad muties to endanger my family or friends.
The X-man are more a cult then the Inhumans.
Yuu can't apply normal standards when a person clearly isn't.
if I had Superman power I would understand the fear of those who don't have them, because even if I didn't have bad intentions, they're not in my head, so there is no way to prove it This uncertainty frightens people and makes them unreasonable.
Clearly I would disagree in getting myself chained for something I didn't do, but a form of soft regulation must exist for extreme cases.
Holy shit
A lot of writers are monstrously unaware of the implications of what they write. One thing that has always bothered me is the total ease, almost arrogance, with which mental powers are used. Stepford Cuckoos are one of the worst examples of irresponsibility among the X-men. they always break people's privacy and torture people for what they think, of course they also go super mad if someone tries to do the same with them. Very few times I happened to read writers that point out this.
For most of them, raping a mind is "super cool".
Inhumans
>follow a set of arcane traditions and rituals
>built around a cult of personality to the royals
>demand unquestioning fealty to these royals
>motivated primarily to make more underlings for the royals
X-Men
>follow normal ethics and have no underlying belief system
>run by private officials that can and do change
>would quite like you to join their school so you don't accidentally some bystanders with your powers
>motivated primarily by survival
Hmmm...
The Cuckoos are always portrayed as morally ambiguous though. Their behaviour is supposed to border on the villainous.
it's okay that three teenagers in their adolescent delirium of omnipotence behave like this. My problem are the other characters that reflect the writer's lack of awareness.
>Medusa
>and... Black Bolt
>Together
>That's....
>Beautiful
Jesus jumping Christ who writes this shit? Have they ever spoken to another human being in their life?
Did we ever hear a justification for why muties bad but Inhumans good? I know Marvel civilians are retarded but i still want to hear one of them give even a shitty reason.
Many of the humans during the Inhumans push were full on "Inhuman? Shoot on sight!" mode during the push to play up the persecuted minority angle.
So what's going on with Cyclops. Last I kept up with X-Men, the younger X-Men somehow couldn't be sent back to the past. And no one seems mad at Beast about it for some reason
The Inhuman push was so fucked up it genuinely made me wish for a series centered around a human resistance group fighting for the survival of our species. If we can HFY against ayy lmaos and still be the good guys, then why can't we do the same against these clearly hostile freaks?
>>follow a set of arcane traditions and rituals>built around a cult of personality to the royals>demand unquestioning fealty to these royals>motivated primarily to make more underlings for the royals
Not one is accurate. Also cult do not become democracies.
>>follow normal ethics and have no underlying belief system
No they did not.
Real Cyclops is back. Original 5 were mindwiped and sent back. 75% of the X-men's supporting cast has disappeared and is in an alternate reality as part of a year long crossover storyline.
The fucked up with the whole CYCLOPS IS HITLER GUYSE thing is that after MARVEL "rebooted" things with Secret Wars they decided to take a page from DC's book and do a time-skip. So every book already started with the idea that Cyclops did something really, REALLY bad that fucked everyone over and pushed relations between the emerging Inhumans and the mutants back. So everyone from the Inhumans, the X-Men, the Avengers, and so on called Cyclops the new Red Skull.
But here's the kick: the writers had no fucking idea what exactly Cyclops did in the past or where exactly they were going with this story. It was a move done out of pure pettiness for Marvel readers finding Cyclops cool and just back before Secret Wars rolled out.
So eventually they decided to settle the conflict on the whole Terrigen clouds thing and write their way from there, but again they fucked completely with the execution because in the end... what Cyclop ended up in the prequel minis wasn't that bad at all? So yeah. Marvel fucked it up.
Honestly, i'm baffled by the whole Cyclops situation. I've never seen a publisher so intent on killing a character popularity before and being so, so fucking comically bad at it.
Hippie kid Cable time travel deus ex machina'd him back to life, but merged his, and teen Cyclops' personality and memories in the process. That's pretty fuckey, so let's hope it'll get quietly retconned after a while. But for the time being he is starring in one of the worst X-Men runs in a good long time, pretty much sitting around in a bar doing nothing. Also Hope accidentally shot out his right eye after an argument.
If everyone died, how come Cyclops didn't?
>Not one is accurate.
Those things are pretty accurate dude.
The Inhumans have a highly ritualistic society with laws that seem arbitrary to outsiders, for example the way they handle Terrigenesis itself. Any monarchy is built around a cult of personality, so that's there too. Finally, during that storyline, the Inhumans were 100% motivated by a drive to increase their numbers and power.
>Have they ever spoken to another human being
Maybe they've only spoen to inhuman beings.
Thanks. I'm disappointed that we don't have Rightclops back but frankly I'm not surprised they'd do this
>. Finally, during that storyline, the Inhumans were 100% motivated by a drive to increase their numbers and power.
NO I read most of the Inhumans books at the time not one issue have that as the main motive.
Considered the first episodes of this new saga, he does not seem so different from Rightclops. He has only returned to being a bit more reasonable.
Where's Kamala, user
The current Cyclops could be turned back to Rightclops relatively simply if the story demanded it. He is still primarily concerned with mutantkinds survival, but he has some kind of insecurity/guilt that keeps him from being an extremist authoritative leader. But since at this moment there is no mutantkind to save sans the 10 or so still kicking, it's somewhat understandable. From their point of view mutants are already extinct, so there are no stakes, and they don't have any kind of goal for the future other than tying up some loose ends before the remaining few too go into that good night.
Your stupid meme vision of Scott isn't coming back
That stupid meme vision of Scott was canon for a long time, you know. It still is canon as everyone and their mother keep reminding him of it in-universe. It getting buried forever is about as likely as Magneto never leading a Brotherhood ever again and Jean staying alive from now on.
It was a result of Marvel being stupid and trying to bury the x-men, now that they don't want to do that it's not going to come back.
Cope harder
The hell are you on about? Rightclops came to be long before the Inhuman crap.
The version of the character you want has already been retconned away and Scott has realized how stupid he was, is my point
It's gone
Did he, though? He is only slightly more moderate right now. Can you not see him build a second Utopia as soon as the other mutants return?
How much different is he? He tried to stop Hope from assassinating a civilian politician. He failed, the politician died. And by the end of the next issue Hope was on his new team.
>tries to stop a genocide
>Lets in mutants like Magneto and Namor who have attempted to commit genocide multiple times with open arms.
Sounds like Scotty is a bit of a hypocrite.
It’s what she calls him in bed. Didn’t you read the comic by Raimi?
Pssss
apparently the drawing teams and some of the writing staff was in rebellion during the arc, so they self sabotaged.
He only let them in during a crisis point in X-Men history when they were seriously understaffed and all their enemies were working together to shit on them.
What am i looking at?
>The X-man are more a cult then the Inhumans.
Black Bolt killed Inferno's mom. Inferno willing went to work for Black Bolt afterwards.
>Did we ever hear a justification for why muties bad but Inhumans good?
Inhumans are a type of mutant so that's never coming.
Nobody is forced to come to Attilan, most of the ones that popped up didn't. Not mention the Royal family doesn't even run Attilan.
>Inferno
>worked for Black Bolt
Never happened, Inferno worked for Medusa and Black Bolt was exiled until IvX at which point Iso took over. Then Black Bolt was put in jail and moved to the moon.
I can't no, because Marvel made a big deal of how horrible he was cause of all that junk and they're going to start grooming him for the MCU
Teen Cable (an emo version of adult Cable who murdered his future self) forced a scientist who Scott saved from an evil scientist early in his super hero career, to put a "Phoenix Capture Cage" into Scott's corpse after his death to absorb a portion of the Phoenix Force when Jean came back/rejected the Phoenix and used that fragment of the Phoenix Force to bring Scott back after Jean behaved like a bitch and refused to let the Phoenix bring Scott back.
After resurrecting Scott, he told him how he broke the evil mad scientist out of jail so he could kill the good scientist who brought Scott back (and who begged Scott to not squander his second chance at life) to hide what he did stealing Avengers tech to bring his dad back. Scott (who talked to the good scientist after coming back, who reminded him of when he actually wanted to help humans not kill/enslave them) turned on Teen Cable because Teen Cable ultimately only brought him back to save the rest of the X-Men from "dying" at the hands of Legion/Nate Gray.
Scott turned on his son, saved the good human scientist from the evil mad scientist, and told Teen Cable he was done being Rightclops and was going to be a good boy scout again, even though his decision to save a single human ensured the "death" of the entire X-Men.
That's not what happened. Teen Cable wasn't trying to hide the evidence, he gave Cyclops an ultimatum: he could go help the X-Men, or he could go save the scientist, but not both. Cable orchestrated the whole thing to be a test, and it was made very clear that he wanted and expected Cyclops to abandon his people to save the flatscan instead.
IvX actually handwaved shit, though with no payoff (because IvX was written by an Inhuman apologist while Death of X was written by an X-Men fanboy).
Medusa had one of her "Nu-Inhumans" with mind control powers that was working as the Inhumans' publicist (meaning she used her powers to brainwash everyone into thinking the Inhumans were great and that anyone who didn't agree to let them do whatever they wanted, was evil incarnate and needed to be destroyed) brainwash the world into thinking Scott was Mutant Hitler trying to genocide the Inhumans, in order keep the masses from rising up against the Inhumans via mental conditioning to associate Scott's actions with evil even though the Inhumans themselves never denied it
I think the official answer is that Scott died and Emma was the one who destroyed the cloud.
That being said, this is just like the Jean Grey/Iceman incident -- despite what the narrative says, it's so weird and nonsensical that "everyone was mind controlled" is actually a valid theory.
>implying marvel was unaware how stupid that was
They had the F4 cast blown up in a comic before, they were just bitter about the rights so they decided to shit on scott
>it's so weird and nonsensical that "everyone was mind controlled" is actually a valid theory.
I believe black bolt and medusa were mine control by Emma when they kill fake
Cyclops. But making the whole thing all were mine control in both sides sounds smart.
>cyclops is hitler 2.0
>because...
They never even justified it but everyone was like "fuck that guy trying to stop a cloud killing mutants and giving people powers that they may not want."
>lets a literal terrorist not only join, but lead The X-Men
>Wonders why the world hates them
Really makes your X-Jean activate
It looks like he’s rubbing his nipple.
It’s almost like we have multiple super teams and a specialized school just for that kind of problems
Friendly reminder that Magneto, a mutant who has attempted to commit genocide against humans multiple times, has been allowed to join the X-Men and even lead them after one of his tamptrums. As long as you’re a mutant, the X-Men will always give you a free pass for any of your crimes.
