I’ve honestly never seen a movie with such a boring ass aesthetic.

This. It may as well be stick figures.

I thought that all it took was cute lolis to trigger co's autism

People know what stick figures are, I only found out Ugly Dolls were toys a few days ago only because of threads talking about how shit the movie was or that nobody cared to go or that they were a fad toy from 5 years ago

that "O" looks like an asshole

Because everyone who was going to the movies recently was going to see Endgame and maybe Detective Pikachu. Between those two films why would anyone waste money on Ugly Dolls. The trailer made it look like an offensively generic movie with like one good joke and a cliché moral that even makes my liberal sensibilities want to vomit.

Well, they need to be cute in the first place to cause that.

What's the movie even about, anyways?

Except you and your persistant Uglydolls thread starts. :-/

the books have so much visual variety and gags and they didnt use fucking any of it

wait so there is a toy line AND a book?! Didn't expect it from such a shitty movie

The toys and books have been around for years.

Another corpse for the river Styx

How does that studio function with such a string of bombs

I went to a wallmart and saw what I think may have been a promotion for it.
When I read it I figured it was just promoting some fad toy called UglyDoll.

occasional big successes like Second Act and The Upside.

They seem to be scraping by

Funny. I've actually known about Ugly Dolls probably since the originals; yet I've just recently found out about the movie a few days ago.

you know a movie got received like a wet fart if i haven't seen any porn of it
whats even with the stickfigure dolls, if the books show off little critters like this? are they mentioned in the books at all? or is it some kind of toy story thing, and if so do the books ever actually acknowledge other fake toylines like that or even that the dolls are just toys?
the actual books looked charming but this just looked bland as shit

I don't know about any books. I just thought they were an indie toy line originally, made by a few people when vinyl figures first got big before funko pops killed that market.
