The biggest draw of streaming over TV is that cable has consistently had very little if any competition which has resulted in them being very complacent with price for their service. People can get their entertainment from streaming for much cheaper. For the time being.
However, as more and more streaming services become available, to the consumer, this ironically may hinder streaming services in the future; if you have to pay for a different streaming service for every show you want to watch, it's quickly going to become more expensive than cable again if you have to pay for 4 or 5 different streaming services just to watch a few different shows.

Tbf a lot of what stereotypes millennials, ie growing up with internet and cell phones, is more relateable to late 80s/early 90s millennials than early to mid 80s millenials who probably didnt even have a flip phone until they were graduating high school if they were lucky.

I think technology was moving at a much faster pace in the later 90s, but has slowed down a bit now. The newest iPhone probably has a little more memory and slightly better camera than the last gen. But its hard to put a set time frame for the recent generations because technology and social norms have changed more in the past 20 years than in the previous 50.

I mean, why'd they split the episodes in two segments? Is it network decision or creator one?
I get Disney Channel, but in an international version that I really don't watch. But Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon usually play reruns of 15 min segments, so it's not crazy to think Disney would follow

Creator, because if each episode was 22 minutes it would be near impossible for them to be completed on time because the show's board-driven. 11-minute segments allows the work to be split up more easily among the crew.

I don't think it's particularly weird, though. There are plenty of cartoons that also have 2/3 segments in an episode but treat the entire thing as a single unit.

Point is that Star Vs. doesn't do the SU thing where there's just 1 10-minute episode that gets aired at a time and that's it; the two segments are created to be aired together and sometimes they have connecting details (ex. Starsitting + On the Job). Well the Starbruary bomb in 2017 aired each segment separately, but they clearly just split up single half-hour episodes to do that since the two segments would share one credit sequence.

It makes sense, especially in the 1st season. And it's not really weird to produce cartoons in 2 or 3 segments. In the 60s Hanna Barbera used the ABA configuration in some of its shows. But they were more Slice of life. Now there's the back to back episodes, but they are still episodes in their own right and watchable if isolated. Also, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network shamelessly show the credits for both episodes when they only show one. If you're autistic enough, you can tell which of them are supposed to be watched back to back.

It was obvious thay that Star was using the goats as an excuse to get Marco alone so she could confess how nervous she was. She admits she feels guilty for hiding while her friends are hurt. And then Marco decides to help her relax by helping the pig goats get away since according toStar they're too dumb to run away from danger.

That's where the butt slapping come in since that's how they get them to run. This finally relaxes Star enough enough to tell Marco she remembers that Marco told her she loves him. Yada, yada yada and then kiss.

You're misremembering. Marco said he knew the blood moon was baloney. He tried to explain saying anything weird as the magical realm messing with them and revealing deeply repressed fragments of their personality. When Star reveals she told him he loved her Marco admits it wasn't a fragment of himself but the whole Marco. And that he's always know the blood moon curse was baloney, his exact words, amd his feeling for Star having only been getting more intense over time. He only denied because he thought it was something Star didn't want. Star didn't think them loving each other was a bad thing and tells Marco she want him to love her.

I just can't anymore. They dropped a lot of plot lines to get to this. Is it really Cotugno's fault? Or is Nefcy just this bad. I don't remember being this disappointed in the previous season.
