It's official. Season 3 has been announced. Time to cheer as all of our favorite characters are coming back. Time to speculate over what the season will entail. Time to groan as it's very likely going to be the second half of season 2.
Wait, those 7 or so episodes were the entire season 2?
Joshua Moore
We've sublimated a new paradigm for brand awareness, user.
Logan Powell
> Watching Dyke-Ra um...no thanks.
Dylan Robinson
Are there ANY straight couples in this show? Or just the one with glimmer's parents that is literally dead?
Nathaniel Ortiz
It seems that way. I kind of hope not because season 2 seems unfinished.
Henry Ward
None confirmed so far. Is that a make or break factor for you?
Jayden Miller
They are really starting to push it with how literally everyone is a minority. It still makes me laugh that the one white guy in the show is the joke character that everyone shits on all the time because that's all he's there for.
Henry Edwards
Unironically want more of this two, i don't care if they're best friends of fuckbuddies, I want lizard dude to stop being such a pussy and stand up for Kyle
Season is an arbitrary unit of measurement. What they are calling season 3 is actually the second half of season 2, which would have all been part of season one if we still had 22-24 episode seasons like the good old days.
>that jutting jaw >that slouched set of eyes >that massive forehead No wonder all the character designs are so butt ugly, if she can’t be pretty then no one should be prettier in her warped mind, espeically cartoon characters.
>waghhhhhhhh stop showing sexy women because it makes me feel self conscious What a narcissistic bitch
Jordan Perez
I haven't watched any of her movies but from interviews, she sounds nice.
Jaxson Green
He has to be mentally unwell, right? Like this goes beyond any semblance of trolling.
Jack Morgan
Beast Island or riot
Blake Stewart
From the She-Ra thread where the OP was praising the show for its nuances, the dyke-ra posters seemed genuine. It's rather worrying.
Oliver Mitchell
Cross your fingers user.
Julian Ross
I want more edgy glimmer. Scene where she teleports catra 1000 feet in the air and just drops her when?
Thomas Lopez
I mean, it's a fantasy story. There's literally no obligation to have the characters reflect modern day society. They don't even have to be human, let alone straight. As long as the characters themselves are well written and entertaining you're good to go.
Xavier Wood
Honestly I'm hoping Huntara is a more serious and deadpan villain, the Princesses and villains have been getting a little too bubbly. I want some stakes to be upped and I would like to see Hordak get his plans in motion.
whaaaaaat. I thought fans would find it interesting Noelle was lusting for this character way back
Jason Jones
Beast Island and the Crimson Waste are pretty much guaranteed as the next story arcs
Zachary Rodriguez
Hmm. I can imagine they're going for that parallel redemption arc, Catra on Beast Island coming to terms with being discarded by the Horde and Scorpio figuring out that Hordak used her for conquest and the subjugation of her people is actually a bad thing.
Jose Murphy
>Scorpio You had one job!
Mason Martin
whoops lol But I bet at the end of the season Scorpia turns to good and activates her princess powers to help beat Huntara but Catra becomes even more fixed in her belief that she needs to help the Horde.
Ian Edwards
Sorry, used to people posting old as shit twitters to start drama in the threads and fuck them over, my bad dude
Yeah, that's pretty interesting. It's confirmed that new Huntara design preserves her bare stomach and we're gonna see her abs
Jonathan Morgan
This. There's one actual lesbian couple with two others teased, but that's it. Otherwise, straight dominates even here.
Lucas King
Other than liking power and wanting to one-up Adora I don't think Catra really cares about the Horde though. Not to mention why would the Horde want her back?
Christ, I have a shit memory. How can I forget about Seahawk?
Jose Jenkins
>It's confirmed that new Huntara design preserves her bare stomach and we're gonna see her abs I see Noelle is a woman of taste
Liam Reed
No. It's been established that Catra doesn't give a shit about the horde and is just using them for a sense of superiority.
Julian Russell
Shit..I meant to reply to this one
Anthony Jones
>Other than liking power and wanting to one-up Adora I don't think Catra really cares about the Horde though. I feel like from what we've seen she has been constantly trying to rise up in the ranks, from the end of season 1 onwards she has been trying to please Hordak and end the princess alliance. >Not to mention why would the Horde want her back? They don't, but she wants to prove her worth to them, and to herself. That's her whole character arc.
Does Geena Davis have any voice acting credentials?
Juan Hall
>Perfuma user, come on, I watch the show and even I can tell she used to be a dude.
Elijah Lee
This image has a lot of sexual tension. I wonder how hard it is to convey that artistically.
Jayden Wilson
Catra wants to prove to everyone she is capable, important, and even superior. She spent her developing years under constant stress of being deemed as a failure regardless of what she did. She wants a world where everything she does pays off, she wants objective validation. Shadowweaver was a scrub wounded by the fact she reached her maximum potential that was nowhere good enough compared to other mages. Nothing came easy to SW, she lived a Frank Grimes life, and saw Catra doomed to repeat that life. Hordak, what we know from our meta-knowledge, was cast aside as a failure by Horde Prime, so he is fixated on being the most powerful. We see him as leader who evaluates merits and failures, but as Catra found out, Hordak is a stone cold executioner of failures. He has no interest in the concept of learning from failure (exact opposite of Entrapta, this will pay off). To analogize, Catra assumed she was part of a Jimmy Conway gang, but realizes her boss is Tommy DeVito.
The Horde is thus composed of people struggling not just with failure, but the very real (and relateable) crisis of hard work not being good enough. Take a glance at the princesses, they all have easy power but they all just happen to get along after some deliberation. The bad guys, the Horde, are going to remain bad guys in large part to their difficulty to accept an individual relying on others. Catra has only expected Scorpia to perform her duty, but only very recently made the connection that Scorpia is doing things for Catra, personally. That was a lesson of true loyalty to Catra, and it's not a virtue Hordak ever engenders. Catra is used to operating on giving people what they want to give her what she wants, but this is fundamentally more social than Hordak's system. Sooner or later, Catra's ideas on the direction for the Horde will clash with Hordak's Horde.
That picture as a thumbnail looked like Adora stabbed Catra. Wouldn't that be an excellent follow-up to that image? That Adora finally ran Catra through, all tearful at having to finally kill someone so personal to her. What would be ascended is if Catra isn't bitter or angry, but reached a nirvana at having brought Adora beyond her limits, at having been the only person in the universe to make Adora complete.
Wyatt Collins
S3 already? Shit, time flies
Adam Jones
I'm guessing based on that single image that huntara's going to be older then adora, maybe even a mentor figure to her.
>Time to groan as it's very likely going to be the second half of season 2. Let me guess, it's the same shit as when Voltron ended up having 8 seasons spread out over 2 years, by making a bunch of 6/7 episode season? ...This show is only ever going to have 2 actual seasons, isn't it?
The thumbnail makes it look like she's holding a pregnancy test.
Dominic Bell
>Sonja Warfield Now that's a name
Parker Long
I grew up watching ducktales/jackie chan/xiaolin showdown. So no... In fact I can't think of a cartoon I watched growing up that had consistent season numbers.
Looking at wikipedia, original she-ra was 65 episodes in season 1 and 28 in season 2
Levi Morris
Blah blah blah blah... Just post more lewd arts and cosplays.
Ian Martin
>Scorpia base strength 35 uhh
Jackson Torres
>this excuse 7 episodes "seaons", says the slave You just don't make that shit up.
Julian Lewis
And she still makes her into a hulking Orc.
Adam Clark
Here's your reminder to jack off before browsing Yea Forums
Lucas Thomas
>Title cards That's new.
Gabriel Rogers
Isn't that good?
(I never played DnD)
John Bailey
Who is watching this garbage?
She looks fucking retarded lmao! Imagine waking up next to that.
That's like arm-wrestling God and not just winning, but ripping his arm off with enough force for the residual energy to collapse into a black hole.
Caleb Nguyen
It was supposed to be 52 episodes total spread over 4 13-episode seasons. Instead it'll probably be 6/7 episode seasons from season 2 on. So 7 seasons total assuming they don't axe it.
Grayson Perry
Maybe Viacom will buy them after everything is done.
Robert Brooks
Stronger than God, but still able to wrap Catra up in a Purrito.
>So 7 seasons total assuming they don't axe it. Why would they axe it? The only Netflix shows I know of that have been canned are the Marvel ones, but that's only because of the Disney+ thing. Then again, I only pirate this shit.
>Entraptra says she's pregnant with Bow's kid >The baby comes out with bat ears, fanged teeth and a white face ...I really should stop being so mean to him.
Jack Wood
What if Mermista really was that thin and Seahawk actually caused her enough stress to eat more to the Mermista we see animated?
Juan Hughes
Where did this bowtrapta shit come from? I know the cuck part, but not that.
Dylan Morgan
Sea hawk is fucking some mermaid puss
Adrian Robinson
It's because Bow said he appreciated Entrapta for being such an skillful inventor and that she was "kind of a big deal" for him in her first episode.
Hope she takes off her cape so that we can have a good asshot for once
Lincoln Wood
Every single person in the show exists because of a straight couple, plus seahawk/mermista, and the one you mentioned. There is only one (arguably 2) gay relationships in the show, Bow's parents and Netossa/Spinarella. Everything else is just fan shipping and should be easily ignored by any intellectual viewer.
Nolan Hughes
Should Strength 35 be a +12, actually? Based on 35 minus 10 being 25, and 25 divided in half being 12.5, rounded down a net positive ability score bonus of +12.
Ryan Baker
Plus he's already ribbed for your pleasure
Jaxson Allen
Normal average humans have 10 or 11 in every stat, athletes have 14 where they train, and Olympic tier peak humans have about 18 or 20. 30+ is when you get into superhero territory, people who can casually throw cars or things like that. I would give Spider-Man about 35 Strength, for example.
>math Just say "every other after 10" its way easier, but yes it should be +12.
Luke Foster
Ah, meant to reply to Also, The Tarrasque has 41 Strength, so no. Also gods are usually unstated unless this is 4e but we can assume someone like Gorum would be higher even than that. For non-DnD players, the Tarrasque is basically Godzilla, an unstoppable avatar of destruction in giant monster form who is supposed to be the absolute capstone of what you can fight as a character.
Tyler Lewis
>All this thirst for Hordak that inevitably happens in out threads
Honestly, Hordak should have just seduced the Princesses from the start, the Horde could have won in less than a year.
Daniel Morris
>intelligence: 0 >wisdom: -1 >charisma: 0 I love this big dumb dork
Biggest thread and strongest princess would be whoever is a dyke because his seducing powers wouldn't work
Benjamin Foster
I think on Tumblr, Rae said that some characters are (race) coded more than others, and that she didn’t want to confirm races so that people can have their headcanons.
Kayden Bailey
Well then. My headcanon is that Mermista is Indian and that Seahawk is Chinese.
>Olympic tier peak humans have about 18 or 20 That's probably true for non-adventurers, but player characters are extra special heroes and can get to 25 if they absolutely max out everything to Strength and are at the level cap. Before magic, that is. You can still wear magic items that buff it up to +6 more, or a Wish to get up to another +5 after 5 wishes, and Tomes of Blessing giving that last little +4. But that's all magic.
Charles Lewis
What can I say, he leaves the women breathless
Charles Garcia
11 Charisma, she has a modifier of 0. Basically it means she is average, and so gets no pluses or minuses to things that are based on Charisma.
Remember that Charisma isn't the beauty stat, that's a common misconception. It's a measure of your force of personality, and Adora has a hard time getting a room to listen to her or respect her when she isn't in She-Ra form, so I'd say it fits. It's your ability to change minds, be convincing, and command attention.
35 Strength means you can lift off the ground and shuffle around while carrying up to 6,400 lbs. That's the amount you can lift without even needing to roll dice, you could potentially lift even more with a Strength check.
Anthony Rodriguez
This. Even during non-bullshit events, he lifts things that would put him closer to Shulkie strength when he starts chimping out. The problem is that he's physically fragile despite him being strong, so he could potentially rip himself apart.
Her dad must have been a fucking whale to pop out that walking pear.
David Wood
I think the moral of this story is that Scorpias stats are bullshit and probably wrong, but yeah if they're accurate then that's exactly what it means. Scorpia could huck those tanks at the Princesses like snowballs.
Josiah Edwards
Shit I fucked up. She has a +10 modifier so her bade stat is 25.
Justin Cox
Weight isn't genetic, retard.
Justin Rodriguez
Be nice to the lad his parents must've been vegetables
Samuel Cook
Yes it is.
Ethan Barnes
No, a base stat of 25 would be a +7 modifier. A +10 modifier would be base 30 Strength. Her sheet shows her with a base 35 but a mod of +10 though, so maybe she's taken some Strength-drain to give her a temp mod. Maybe giving up the Black Garnet?
Lucas Powell
>Scorpia can carry around 3 tons, Catra and Entrapta, and more >ywn be carried around by a big strong half scorpion babe
Hordak is only attractive to Entrapta because he's smart and she's autistic enough to not take his insults, anger and superiority complex to heart.
Matthew Lopez
Your metabolism is genetic, your weight is not. If your parent's have a slow metabolism there's a big possibility you'll have a harder time losing weight, but that doesn't mean weight is genetic
Yeah exactly, welcome to 20 minutes ago. She's either superhuman to a bullshit degree without magic, or her stats are wrong. >that's like a +12 modifier Right, but like I said her sheet only has +10, so that's would make her effective Strength either 30 or 31, meaning she has damaged her Strength score via injury, poison, or magic. I'm betting magic.
Caleb Carter
>there's a big possibility you'll have a harder time losing weight >Oh so weight is genetic No, you can still get thin, and someone with a fast metabolism still can get fat.
Adam Martinez
Stop being intentionally retarded. Your weight is your own fault, neckbeard.
Christopher Jenkins
Attributes are generally not expected to go above +5 for PCs.
Camden Hernandez
I feel like it's in character to fuck something up this badly.
>Welcome to 20 minutes ago I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of this. I think I got it so I won't pry.
Brandon Gonzalez
>t. never actually played ABILITY SCORES (not "attributes") max out at a +5 modifier (20 base stat) at character creation, that's the most you can have at level 1, not the most you can have period.
Wyatt Powell
Scorpia is very interesting here. She is strong enough to fight a dragon so probably magic enchanced stats. But what is more interesting is her other stats: She is smarter than Adora (even if they are both average) but she seems dumber in the series. Then I look at her skills and she has proficience in deception. Could she actually be a spy? Is she making herself look dumb on purpose? I really want to see her charisma score.
Proficiency would be granted by class and not by personal interest or ability, the ranks are unlisted
Owen Price
How come a badass woman can't have a horrible thing done to her by a villain without that somehow shitting on the strong woman herself? That's some victim blaming. That's "You're less strong as a person because you got raped" logic.
Mason Collins
I'm disgusted by the depravity of my own shameful biology. Plus I prefer them to just be dots.
Justin Wood
Because it would be bad to admit rape makes them strong.
David Martinez
What do you think his dick is like? Fully mechanical?
Asher Wood
It's either fully mechanical or fully biological. There is no in between. Furthermore why does he need biomechanical enhancements in the first place?
Alexander Bailey
Biomechanical, with alternating designs for unlimited experimentation. Bad Dragon has nothing on him.
Nolan Ramirez
>Furthermore why does he need biomechanical enhancements in the first place? He's literally falling apart from being in Etheria, the atmosphere is toxic for him
Brayden Anderson
I'm sure with enough time BD would design a dildo """"inspired"""" by Lord Hordak
Mason Phillips
>Furthermore why does he need biomechanical enhancements in the first place? He has a lot of scarring/discolorations on his skin, looking like he met the bad end of a battle of some sort. I think Horde Prime, or one of his closest advisers/Hordak's rival, did it to him over some failure on Hordak's part and he got beaten, then sent to Despondos, thinking the failure would die there. Hordak then found Etheria and wants to conquer it in the name of Horde Prime to regain his status.
But why does it always have to be event specific? Why can't just "trauma makes you strong"? Why does it have to be, "OH, YOU MENTIONED RAPE, THEREFORE YOU ENDORSE RAPE!".
It's absurd the villain can't do evil shit and our hero can't overcome it because that somehow reflects poorly on the hero.
Nathaniel Edwards
They seem to stay away from copyright questional. You'd have to come up with a real vague reason to make a biochemical silver and red NuDak doesn't even have enough of the classic colors to play with.
I'm starting to think there was a reason he was banished
Luke Morris
>Hordak finally opens up a portal >It leads to the 80's She-Ra universe and he meets himself >Nu-Hordak and 80's Hordak stare at each other for a few seconds, with 80's Hordak snorting every other second >Nu-Hordak closes the portal and immediately apologizes to Entraptra for having seen that
Ian Bell
Nonsense, he's nothing but practical with his nano-body.
Why didn't this retard fuck Perfuma? She was practically throwing herself at him, calling him nicknames and wanting to dance and talking about how much she liked it in the Fright Zone.
>practically throwing herself at him He had to bribe Adora with lifting a curse, a bauble that boosted Shadow Weavers power, and several months supplies to take Perfuma back because when She-Ra got there she didn't want to leave Hordak.
>Hordak now has a weapons technician that can perfectly fuse Horde tech and First One's tech with ease >She-Ra/Adora has a sword that transforms into any weapon and is training to do so >Entraptra might create a weapon that can rival She-Ra's sword and make a callback to 80's Hordak and his transformation abilities >Not as drastic as the old series, but something that could halt/stalemate She-Ra's sword abilities
>Also gods are usually unstated Deities & Demigods has been a sourcebook since the very first edition of AD&D, m8.
Landon Stewart
Are these the ones that are getting married now?
Caleb Cruz
>Str 35 That's bullshit. Scorpion-people are too OP, nerf plz.
Lucas Brooks
Glimmer’s mom is straight but her husband’s dead. Hordak might be straight. Perfuma and Glimmer seem to have a thing for Bow. Seahawk and Mermista are TOTALLY fucking or have fucked. It’s incredibly obvious with how they act between each other. As for gay couples, the only ones are the fat chick and the black chick on the good guy’s side, Bow’s two dads and then there’s Scorpio who has a crush on Catra. Catra has a sister complex with Adora. So far, there’s been more straight couple implications, with only like 5 characters being explicitly gay.
It'd make sense if each character made their own chart, I can see Scorpia going "I'LL MAKE MYSELF THE STRONGEST. WHAT'S THE BIGGEST NUMBER I CAN THINK OF? HUH... 35!"
>"Oh, don't mind me!, i'm waiting for the buttface who always posts Noelle's deleted tweets and try to start a flamewar, but im pretty sure that's not gonna happen, right?"
Is Catra going to wear a suit and try to make Adora mad again? Easily the best part of this show.
Chase Cook
Little detail I like is that she couldn't put her bowtie right herself and Scorpia couldn't help her because of her claws so she literally let it hang in there
>There's one actual lesbian couple with two others teased >Otherwise, straight dominates Pottery. One straight relationship has been confirmed (Glimmer's parents) while two gay ones are confirmed and actually shown (Bow's dads, the two gay princesses).
Ethan Lee
Mermista and SeaHawk are dating
Jason Price
I thought the WERE dating also: Bow at least took Perfuma to prom- that counts
They haven't decided on her design at the time that pic was made. Her character is still isn't very important to the plot, so clearly she wasn't a priority.
That’s just how Dreamworks x Netflix works, in particular. They’ll just let every release be labeled it’s own season no matter what size it is even though if you stand back after the fact the show was clearly developed with 26 episode seasons in mind.
>Dyke-Ra Isn't she a dyke? Like they are going to reveal that she is right? There's no way she's going to straight in this show.
Ryan Martinez
>>Straight >Yes Bullshit he is.
Justin Nelson
They're not even human nor from earth so race should't even really matter in this show
Zachary Reed
Compare that show that got 78 episodes over three years to this one that got 52 over two but smaller seasons. I imagine Dreamworks just thinks “season 3!” Builds more hype than just “season 2, part 2”
I agree with you wholeheartedly, but you know well enough that neither the creators of the show, nor detractors will agree with this sentiment.
Blake Miller
Very true, even the fans of this show will think this way. I was shacking my head when I was listening to a female reviewer talking about Voltron and saying Allura was a person of color and a step forward for said people. Shes Fucking alien! It doesn't even count.
Zachary Fisher
>Whining because a little girls show won't pander to your sexual fetishes But sure, Noelle is the narcissistic bitch
Because rape as a backstory is trite and cliche and has been done a thousand times before. God forbid audiences want a backstory with thought put into it.
Kayden Price
Like everyone in old She-Ra. He's gay.
Parker Thompson
>Because rape as a backstory is trite and cliche and has been done a thousand times before. Mainly this But also, rape as a backstory is 99% of the time written by people who have never been raped, nor even know anybody who has been raped, so they have no clue how to write about that experience without resorting to pre-existing cliches that were also, for the most part, born from people who have no idea about rape.
James Cruz
bonus points when the female character that has been raped goes to battle in a string bikini because that's totally what traumatized women would do that's sarcasm
Christian Ramirez
>Noelle is the narcissistic bitch Yep.
Nolan Murphy
If its a man though.
Grayson Green
Why does she think most kids are mentally ill like her and her band of freaks. Kids are normal and no parents that abuse their kids is not widespread.
did you even read the post? she's saying it's bad that eye candy slave leia is the main version of leia that merchandisers push and stories keep referencing
Zachary Phillips
>Actobatics >Stealth >Nature
Why do people think these sheets represent the real character?
Brayden Perez
>bio: frostbite was born with a special power. she was stronger than all her classmates in the she-ra fighting academy. she served in the she-ra military fighting shadow weaver and in the final battel against shadow weaver they were fighting and shadow weaver turned her to the darkness and frosbite turned against she-ra and killed her.
since they are fantasy characters i kind of wish they'd done a roleplaying game that would be a coffee shop AU
Xavier Moore
She was part of an organization called the horde, lived in a place called the fright zone, had a shadow demon for a mommy, fought cotton-candy colored princesses, and she still never had a "are we the baddies?" moment until she was captured. She's legit dumber than Scorpia.
maybe cotton candy colours are considered bad luck in wherever they live
Oliver Reyes
Adora never got the 'rape, pillage and plunder'-part of the Horde because Shadow Weaver was effectively shielding her from those 'bad' parts being less sheltered than Adora Catra knew fully well what they were doing
Cameron Phillips
That part was too accurate of cringe
Lucas Roberts
>w-wow scorpia y-you're bigger than adora...
Sebastian Sanchez

Wyatt Anderson
>tfw the scropia+catra stuff was really nice and fun to watch >tfw you want to see them get together because it's wholesome and it would be fun to see adora suffer >tfw you don't know if it'll actually happen or if adora will somehow get catra T-they won't fuck it up, r-right?
Dominic Sanchez
It'll be a 5 or 6 episode """season""". SJW-Ra is pathetic.
it's Netflix trying to push its marketing the creators hated that decision btw
Benjamin Collins
Fuck off with this. Why does every cartoon have to act like DnD is a widespread hobby and not a massive money sink for WotC? I seriously doubt more than 1% of the population has a regular weekly game, and less than 10% total have ever played a ttrpg. Let my hobby be the niche hobby it is goddamnit!
t. /tg/
Dylan Parker
90% of the population of the planet has realized by now just how cool tabletop roleplaying is. The only reason people aren't doing it is because they don't have the time and/or means to - not because they wouldn't want to.
Fantasizing about playing DnD is on par with fantasizing about being rich and beautiful.
Thomas White
hell of a difference seeing the kim possible roleplay episode and today.
Angel Nelson
I think shows like HarmonQuest and actual-play podcasts have definitely made tabletop stuff seem more accessible to the type of crowd that would otherwise write off D&D as gay nerd shit.
Jacob Jenkins
it's a combination of factors. In general, "nerd shit" is has become the mainstream nowadays, no question about it. MCU, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, The Witcher games, there is so much stuff in the very focus of pop culture that would still be mostly disregarded as childish nerd shit a decade ago.
Um, she was always a girl, her penis is a feminine penis, shitlord.
Gavin Garcia
Kek. I need to learn how to draw
Robert Stewart
How lesbian is this show? They literally hire people because their name is 'gina.
Jackson Baker
I can count at least five characters who are either explicitly or implicitly lesbian Also five characters who are either explicitly or implicitly (per word of god) gay. I highly doubt anybody is straight in this show. Bi at best.
Chase Gray
We need men shows run by guys named dick johnson
Christian Harris
>Executive producer Dick Wolf presents Finn Wolfhard in 'Hard Wolf Dick'
Connor Reyes
>anybody is straight in this show Hordak, Angella, Shadow Weaver,.... To be fair all three of those human in the furthest sense
Anthony Murphy
There's one canonical lesbian pairing and one canonical gay pairing and one canonical straight pairing. That's it really. A lot of it has been teasing of every variety. For a show about war, this show sure does blueball you.
Eli Jackson
well, it's about war- there's no place for love
Evan Murphy
Angella is the only character from your list who's confirmed at least partially straight via children. We have no evidence for hordak nor shadow weaver. Hordak could just be asexual, all things considering.
John Turner
>no evidence for Hordak then what the fuck is that Imp-thing?
Cooper Rivera
Imp. We have no idea where he came from or what he is. It may be hordak's baby, it may be another child he kidnapped, it may be a clone, or something.
Nicholas Hill
Why are we still here.... just to suffer
Dominic Nelson
Tell me about this show Yea Forums I never watched the original she-ra and only knew of it by name. I hear mixed things about this series. picture unrelated
I think it's a pretty good show. Most of the cast is pretty likeable, characters have strong, memorable personalities and relatable motivations. The villains are likely more entertaining than the heroes, both for their humor, and because we get an enjoyable zuko-esque "abused underdog trying to gain respect" plot there. There's some okay lore-building, but nothing too deep so far.
If you are sensitive to progressive shilling, it might not be for you, because there's absolutely a bunch of homo shit going on. But if you can get over it, then there are also some gourmet waifus for whatever taste you have.
Considering that there are only about 20 episodes of the show so far, I say you can give it a shot and judge for yourself. I think the quality is fairly well represented from episode 1 - there is no sudden shift there - with ane caveat of the first few episodes having a bunch of "lol random" and "so relatable xD" jokes that are toned down later on.
It's an alright series. Not really your thing if you like action, but it has charming and interesting characters and good good world building. Season 1 was alright, but season 2 was really good.
Jordan Ward
So I’m guessing this means Huntara will be the new replacement for Shadow Weaver?
Kayden Carter
>But sure, Noelle is the narcissistic bitch intentionally omitting the female body because of her own prudishness and jealously does make her a narcissistic bitch
Wyatt Ortiz
same but I want them to be lovers

Aiden Mitchell
Well, now I just want a picture of eight-foot she-ra futa fucking four foot Glimmer.
Eli Sanchez
>"I saw talent in you the moment I found you as an orphan child" fucking Shadow Weaver, is the Horde telling that to all those stolen babies? not like they, killed their parents and took them from the crib- free babies everywhere

Yup. Futa on female is the best fetish
Justin Morris
>Yup. Futa on Male is the best fetish FTFY
Luke King
>>Yup. Male on Male is best fetish >FTFY FTFY
Asher Russell
sounds interesting especially if its short. The art is nice, or else I'd have never asked about it at all. I like SvE and its got some homo shit mixed in, but its largely tasteful with the exception of a couple recent episodes. If I can handle that I can probably handle this
I always thought it was weird that she said 'my She-Ra' and 'my girl' then she says 'the wrong time' Mara's been gone for at least a thousand years what is this old lady?
>Because pushing underage children to explore their sexuality with one another through social engineering, through the guise and surrogate of a childrens cartoon is a-okay, instead of actually just making a good story and visuals that dont cram sexual propaganda down kids throats >Inb4 it's not made for you (non-argument)
>Like SVE You're in for a treat if u think that comes even close to how much dyke this show has Wasn't it confirmed that Catra is covered in short velvet-like fur and thats technically NOT her skin color?
You do realize that this isn't an isolated case right? If this is a Netflix decision, it's very likely more shows are going to suffer.
Hudson Clark
As long as they let showrunners know before hand it's fine. Nothing inherently wrong with 7 episode seasons. It's only a problem when you've written a story based around 13 episode seasons and you're suddenly forced to cut it into 6 or 7 episode chunks.
Brandon Gonzalez
>catra feeling like she's getting cucked out of the second-in-command spot and increasingly desperate to get back on hordak's good side I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty arousing
Do you think that Hordak is into pegging. Asking for myself.
Caleb Moore
I have nothing to back this up, but I wholeheartedly believe that this is the case. I imagine that netflix had a lot of users who signed up for one month, watched everything they cared about, then left, so they are partitioning content in order to keep people around for longer.
Not that I'm against it. Sure, it's a financially motivated control tactic, but I believe that it is genuinely more healthy for the fan community. When people are given stuff in smaller chunks, there is more place for the fandom to discuss it, make up theories, create transformative content, etc. It helps build up hype for the next batch of episodes. Meanwhile, when you just binge everything at once, it's much easier to consume and forget about it.
Well it worked I guess because now a She-Ra thread is at least 1/3 discussion and speculation rather than shitposting.
Asher Kelly
Hordak is a man of culture, of course he is into pegging
Gabriel Turner
Yes. >Hordak has had a rough day bossing around his underlings >He needs some time to let off stress and he'd rather not deal with portals today >He asks Entraptra for some help with "a power conduit" thats about to overload >She thinks this should have been a non-issue, because she taught him basic cable instillation/maintenance weeks ago >But she goes to a new room she's never seen before, with a large bed and Hordak stripped of his clothes and a strap-on laying on the edge of the bed E: "What?" H: "While I've been a leader on this planet, I've mostly been under the command of someone for a majority of my military service." E: "I don't under-" H: "I like being commanded, so please, tell me what you want to see me do. Order me, if you will."
Josiah Hughes
18 base 2 level ups 4 orc race 4 barbarian rage =28 So we need to account for 7, probably a +4 magic item (reasonable at lvl 8) and +4 from a template (scorpion beastfolk). >dat 4 dex >probably ECL 10, could effortlessly solo Adora's party
Christopher Collins
If you look at any show that airs weekly, you'll even be able to see that go up to 2/3 discussion 1/3 shitposting. I could probably make up some faux formula where the amount of actual discussion is equal to (p*(0.7^n))/(p+1) where p is the amount of new episodes released in the most recent batch, and n is the amount of days that have passed since the release. On the first day or two, the activity is proportional to the amount of new content, but after two weeks or so, it becomes effectively irrelevant how much content was released, and the threads devolve into shitposting.
Netflix should just release an episode a week then. That'd hook people for months on end!
I'm not a fan of binging either. It makes shows feel more disposable and gives you less time to process and discuss each episode. There's certain shows, like GoT, that I think would not be as big a part of the zeitgeist if they just dumped an entire season on a streaming service once a year.
Iirc Skeletor pulls off a win when they meet up again but theyre pretty evenly matched.
Isaac Gonzalez
Sword>cockmode Catra tries the 1st Ones corruption virus You know what to do
Thomas Ross
Please do. Can it end in Adora mind breaking Catra or at least making her somewhat addicted to her. Or Catra being in heat... In the end please make it.
David Walker
Still worth it.
Evan Anderson
Are you implying strap ons are better than futa? And how would catra try the virus? I don't know what to do
>Not him I'm assuming that the virus disk turns She-Ra into a Futa and Catra foolishly used it on her to make She-Ra fight the princesses. Unfortunately, on the way to the castle, She-Ra broke free from her containment cell and with her lust at immense levels, she took it out on the first person she saw. Guess who.
Grayson Parker
The only problem with the story is the fact that working within the bounds of the show, she has to hold the sword during the whole thing or she stops being enraged.
Gavin Jones
Like I said, I'm assuming that's what the guy meant. For all I know, he was probably thinking in the same logic as those first one worms.
Charles Brooks
Well let's see if I ever get around to making myself write the thing then. The last couple years I've been really bad about releasing anything. I've just gotten out of writing, I guess. I think I'll at least start on it now, though
Charles Nelson
I may not be one to give advice, but force yourself to. I've also been shit at writing because I procrastinated a lot. Make a pledge to finish it at a certain time. Helped me at least.
Hudson Nelson
It's obvious that Catra is jealous of Glimmer, but do you guys think it's the same vice versa? Glimmer is shown to have a few self esteem issues in different chapters, and in the end, even after everything she's done, Adora still cares a lot about Catra, still obsesses over her when talking about the Horde, still is unable to hurt her, even in self-defense.
Why is this thread still up? The only positive comments about this car wreck come from the same 5 people, the rest is bickering and other anons telling the OP to fuck off back to tumblr. She ra threads are annals of shitposting, I guess it’s what this show in particular deserves and the thread quality is reflective of the shows but still enough is enough.
i dont think i would keep myself to it. and i dont think i do well on time limits anyway. i recently entered a writing contest for MLP :^) because there was a reward of $25 just for submitting something decent, plus hundreds of dollars for first through third place. dude spent like 3grand on this. the theme was sibling incest
anyway i had like 3 weeks to write my story but i still submitted within the last 24 hours or so and shit was rushed because of it.
>They do another D&D episode where the new villain cast wears their outfits from the original series >Hordak wears that skimpy loincloth that makes him look like an even bigger thot than the slit dress does Oh man, people would have some weird boners after that one, if it ever happened.
this is the board that produced bronies, people who ship Dipper with Mabel, and people who ship Anna with Elsa
why does this surprise you?e
Dominic Hughes
Bite your tongue!
Caleb Hernandez
She's not dead, but gatdamn was what she did dumb as hell. She shouldn't have lied to Hordak about what had happened with Shadow Weaver. SW literally lost her command because she disobeyed orders that could have endangered the Horde and lied to her leader. I like Catra, but fucking hell, was what she did completely foolish.
Cooper Brown
She craves validation and SW has always manipulated her, SW knew what strings to pull. Was it stupid on her side? Yeah, but not entirely her fault
Gabriel King
Shadowweaver's voice makes me hard and I don't want to believe I'm the only one.
Carter Rogers
Hordak is actually the one in the wrong. When you rule purely by fear and strength, trust is impossible.
However, the fact of the matter is that he does not value the people under his command. Him testing Catra was nothing but a game to him, he didn't care if she lied or not, he was never going to treat her well or appreciate anything she ever did. He doesn't care about Etheria, he just wants to leave, conquering it is just something to keep him busy, really.
Wyatt Perez
Will it be 20 episodes long to compensate for the lazyass 8 count of s2 or is it getting cancelled after another measly 8 episodes?
Gavin Ross
user's been speculating that Netflix is gonna start uploading all seasons of their shows in aprox 7-8 episodes to keep the audience hooked longer, it's up in the thread, if I'm not mistaken
Cameron Bell
Why this always reminds me of that orgy draw where doodle Catra had pointy nipples
Matthew Howard
This.
Hordak reacted to Entrapta like a teenaged boy, that just didn't want girls in his room. He just doesn't think about how his actions will playout and had been failing sideways until Catra and Entrapta came along.
Nigga, Catra fucked up royal and lied to his face about losing Shadow Weaver, and this is after he gave her an opening to tell him the truth. Hordak doesn't want a liar as a second in command, again.
>Some villain has a lair that only they are supposed to have access to >Because the last thing a BBEG needs is someone snooping in their personal space looking for ways to hurt them >Hordak freaks out when one of the Princesses is in there messing with his things, such as the power to his portal machine >Somehow, he's the one who's unreasonable Entraptra had an ethical dilemma and about doing it and knew it was wrong.
Caleb Diaz
Love it
Nicholas Turner
It's not that Hordak was being unreasonable. It's the way he reacted. I know it might go over the heads of some here, because he was basically acting on the level of the average Yea Forums user. But it was less intimidating and more goofy.
Wyatt Flores
so, i ended up writing 1000 words of action to start the story off and im kind of up to the point where im ready to start the rape scene. but... idk, whats a good motivation to turn a bloodthirsty killing machine into a suddenly horny rapist? the only thing i can think of is entrapa fucking with the first one's virus disc thing
damn, heterochromia just looks so jarring and stupid in real life. The brown girl is cute though
John Bailey
I think that was partly because Entrapta isn't scared of him so he seemed less intimidating because she is immune to intimidation >remember the first season when she actively spoke up as he said it was a failure
and he calls his lair his sanctum- a sanctum is a holy place, you don't just go into holy places an touch stuff
Charles Murphy
The Hordak thirst on Yea Forums amuses and pleases me. For once, you guys have good taste.
Grayson Stewart
Huntara in a bikini, Entrapta in that high collar and thigh high boots, Imp in that uh, leotard? and Scorpia gets her evil 80's make-up that brings out her eyes
Christopher Martin
Did Lotor end up in another universe?
Luis Fisher
I am assuming that Adora has a penis as She-ra naturally. While they are fighting, preferably alone, Catra starts loosing easily. The way how she is helpless and week is starting to get turned on. By that feeling. By hopelessness of situations. And her inner desire for Adora. Same for Adora. Realising the power she has over her cat,the fact they are alone. Combined with frustration and confused feelings for Catra. And not helping that her sword messed up her libido. It is all to much. Realising what is happening to her, catra tries to run away, but Adora is not letting her pussy go for second time. Basically and .
It was, though. It was pretty funny this time as well. As well as a convenient vehicle for character insight.
James Ramirez
>Please don't hurt the kitty cat How far gone am I if I completely missed the "don't" in that sentence? I can't believe that wasn't a subconscious choice on my part.
So I gave it a watch and does anybody else think that Catra is the only interesting character in show, with an actual arc and interesting struggles? Everyone else is just... there.
Although I also liked season 1 Mermista and Seahawk relationship.
Lucas Young
>horde always kidnaps babies from people and snatches orphans and raises them as their own >this time, the rebels decided to do it the other way around I dig it.
No. Both Adora and Glimmer (and possibly even SW) are clearly up there as well.
Elijah Fisher
Because people like coming up with dumb theories.
Isaiah Perez
But those people are boring and their struggles depend on "believing in yourself" and training their powers, shit like that.
Matthew Baker
Technically Catra and SW are supposed to mirror each other
Sebastian Ross
>"believing in yourself" and training their powers, shit like that. No, user. While I won't deny that that's part of their character arcs, simplifying both to that extent is equivalent to saying Catra's character arc is no more than "lie less". That aside, Adora struggling with her ingrained hyperresponsibility complex and Glimmer struggling with her own moral compass in regards to how their side should treat the enemy are among the most interesting and deconstructible parts of the show. The possibility that you may have completely missed them aside.
Nathaniel Lee
Catra gets a little too much focus and is WAY hung up on Adora for some reason that I don't understand. I don't get WHY she's so loyal to the horde. You'd think when Adora says she isn't coming back that Catra would just shrug and say "fine, I'm going with you." Shadow Weaver I get the hang ups, because Adora is basically her magic destiny child and she wants her long game pay off, but Catra's whole deal was she didn't take the horde seriously.
I could get jealousy and the fact everyone in the rebellion doesn't immediately swoon over her like they do Adora, and the fact she has a malicious streak rubbing them the wrong way, eventually pushing her back to the life she knew and was at the very least tolerated in. What doesn't make sense is Catra getting hung up on bringing Adora back when her leaving shot her immediately up the ranks to force captain and put her in command.
Jacob Kelly
Surprised nobody's done one with the shadow tentacles
Christian Foster
Oh yeah, obviously. There's always going to be something threatening about Catra to Glimmer. It's in her core. Despite that, she can still hit back with the fact that Catra's essentially been replaced. Only as long as Catra's on the other team, at least. It would be fun to see Catra pull a mad Shadow Weaver and go to Adora after getting banished and pretending to be on her side. That's kinda juicy.
>rae’s twitter I admit it’s nice to have a show where crewmembers openly acknowledge and support all kinds of ships, instead of “oh my god a crewmember liked a fanart of two characters in the same picture, let’s have a fandom-wide freak out about it being canon”
Joseph Price
Uh. Yeah.
Wouldn't you?
Ayden Martinez
By the looks of the carapace on her biceps, yes it looks like she wears scorpion themed pauldrons on top usually. Huh.
Ethan Phillips
The word you're looking for is "molting", all arachnids do that
Luis Sanders
It could be that the shoulder-carapace grows thicker and paler over time, and then falls off every once in a while, leaving only a thin, intensely red shell on the bottom. Her tail and her claws are the same color as the shoulders
Josiah Rivera
>Hey guys, let's make a show for little impressionable kids and make every character queer on it! >Surely this will have no impact on their developing sexuality because things kids see on cartoons never affect their sexuality!
Connor Torres
>>Hey guys, let's make a show for little impressionable kids wrong. its made for manchildren and tumblrinas.
Catra is emotionally stunted due to Shadoweaver's abuse. Adora was too, but has had Bow and Glimmer helping her heal. all Catra saw was that Adora made new friends and doesn't need her any more. Their codependent relationship was all either of them had and it makes her feel betrayed that Adora just, suddenly had more important things than Catra in her life. If she just followed Adora to the other side that would to Catra confirm that she needs Adora but Adora doesn't need her, which is a weakness she despises. So she set out to prove she doesn't need Adora either but only way of measuring success she knows is rising through the ranks and getting Hordak's approval. but she does still need Adora. she needs Adora more than she needs Hordak's approval. defeating Adora, dragging her back to the Horde, and keeping her as her personal prisoner is the only scenario that satisfies all of Catra's twisted emotions.
Tyler Roberts
fetishes =/= orientation notice how many anons fetishes still have a focus on girls
and frankly a cartoon awakening bisexuality in kids is a lot less weird to me then cartoons awakening an attraction to inflation
Juan Lee
In the original, she seemed like she was in her 20s. In the reboot, they might have aged her up a bit since Geena Davis is voicing her.
Josiah Moore
she's too in love to just get over adora but too wounded by abandonment issues to handle being anything less than adora's no.1 priority. she thinks if she joined the rebellion adora would care more about the rebellion than her. so by becoming adora's biggest enemy instead she maintains her status as the single most important person in adora's life
Henry Smith
seeing nothing but heteros in cartoons never turned a gay kid straight
God dammit. I fear at this point it'll just get canceled in the middle of nowhere given the high amount of haters it has. With no closure or indication it might be the last episode. I just want to see the villains get happy endings. And Glimmer get punched in the face.
Just wrap it up and release 1 episode per week Netflix, you do that with Black Lightning and other shows.
Jaxson Russell
NPCs aren't human
Mason Carter
it's funny seeing one of these "panics" develop in real time i wonder how old are these anons going on and on about this shit?
Bentley Rodriguez
Here most She-Ra threads get partially derailed by /pol/ cucks. Search for videos on youtube, most are negative, except honest reviews which tend to float around the "Yeah I can see the pandering and that's bad, but the cartoon is ok anyway" conclusion, comments full of hate usually though. It also gets a lot of hate from facebook.
Yea Forums is pretty much the only place I can discuss the show without getting shit. Minus the occasional polcucks as stated before.
Lucas Walker
That's why we have the 2 thread rule. I also tend to avoid discussion outside of Yea Forums because some of it is reaching (I remember some guy commented on a review that spinnerella was insensitive because she's fat and her powers involved wind). Facebook is full of 30-40 y/o so I can see the hate from there.
Blake Turner
From the crew's Twitters it sounds like they actually wrapped production fairly recently. There hasn't been any announcement of additional seasons being ordered, so most likely we'll get a few more seasons where they release the episodes that have already been produced, ending things as best they can while leaving things a bit open in case Netflix ever decides to order more episodes. This may actually be a good thing for the story, since it means they had a set ending that they could aim for since the beginning that hasn't been extended arbitrarily.
Austin Hernandez
Mermista. Hands down.
Lincoln Brooks
I saw people discussing this on twitter yesterday. I think she molts, grinds off the outermost layer of her shell. It's probably like shaving your beard or body hair. You remove the shell to look nicer and softer, but then it regrows to its natural thickness in a few days.
That does mean, however, that in scorpion terms Scorpia doesn't shave her armpits
Jeremiah White
Why do so many people like this show? This She-Ra is so ugly. Bleah, she looks like Ben 10 crossdressing.
What is homosexuality but a fetish for the same sex? The more cartoons show inflation scenes, the more inflation fetishists you'll get, and the more cartoons show gay stuff, the more gays you'll get.
Matthew Davis
Cute waifus and some interesting character dynamics. Also all of the gay stuff.
Why were there gays before gayness was widely portrayed in media?
Connor Sanders
I bet Catra already turned some kids into furries
Hudson Jenkins
Glimmer knows if Adora and Catra do reconciliate, she won't stand a chance against Catra in the "best friend" department with Adora. Is the same kind of doubts she had with Bow having other friends.
Angel Sullivan
We make cuck Bow jokes but this whole time the one getting cucked was glimmer
Nathaniel Hughes
I would if I had anyone to play with and there isn't a toy shop anywhere near my home.
Eli Sanchez
>waifus if you think about it, it's right there in the title She-Ra and the waifus of power
