Is Jimmy Neutron’s movie the biggest time capsule for the first few years of the 2000s?
I would say Osmosis Jones has it beat but not by much.
and Ramones
We’re the kids in America, whoah!
this chorus will never stop being my jam
That would be Smallville
Quintessential early 00's.
>AARON CARTER
Now this is a blast from the past
Well yeah, it was made during the early 00s. Completely stuck in the early 00s as well, not at all timeless.
I remember theatrical releases of kid network movies always had R&B on the soundtrack. I guess that's only weird because R&B has all but disappeared as far as I can tell.
STARRING:

LITERALLY A FUCKING ALL STAR CAST
FOR SPY KIDS 3
also Machete takes place in the Spy Kids Universe.
I hate this movie so much. I regret ever forcing my dad to watch this one weekend along with the music video.
Not to forget I begged my grandma for the CD and she couldn't afford her meds for a week.
I just want to slap my kid self.
Why
Adults could say no user. Just be happy they liked you enough to indulge your interests.
Then Spy Kids 4 happened and no one cared.
>watching over the course of a season as people go from using payphones, to few enough characters having cellphones that it's pointed out as rare, to everyone having them
Watching it from the beginning has really made me appreciate it, even with Lana in it and the whole Chloe sex cult thing.
Remember this movie. It can save your life in a game of six degrees of separation.
Adults have a moral responsibility, being older and wiser, to stop kids from being huge faggots.
>I begged my grandma for the CD and she couldn't afford her meds for a week.
holy fuck, user
was she at least okay in the end?
Why do you hate it now, user? It’s a perfectly serviceable kids movie.
Digimon did it better.
The early 2000s were a trippy/weird time that was like the last breath of the 20th century, and had a mysterious/cool feel that 2004-2009 just didn't have as much.
People often said "The 90s ended in 2004", since 2004 had a lot of changes that screamed "the 00s culture is here" and the late 90s influences were fully dead:
>Nick and Cartoon Network cancelled all the 90s shows and changed from being tailored for Late Millennials to being tailored to Early Zoomers with cheap shitty Flash shows
>The re election of Bush
>Approval ratings of Iraq began to dip
>Movies like Team America began to come out that were disillusioned with the American Dream
>People began to get over 9/11 and the "Bush is stupid" schtick began
>The Rock retired and WWE begun transitioning to Cena and Batista
>Emo overtaking nu metal
>Crunk rap overtaking glam rap
>Myspace getting popular
>Web 2.0 coined
>Friends finale
>Laguna Beach started
>Release of Nintendo DS
>Broadband overtook dial up for the first time
>Eminem fell off with Encore
>Green Day changed their sound with American Idiot
>Last full year of 6th gen gaming, before 360 came out next year
>iPod became popular
>Tech hobby network TechTV was absorbed and killed by Comcast's "dudebro" network G4
If Bush never took his second term, would the late 90s stuff have lasted past 2004?
And then they made a cartoon.
The Sopranos has it down in certain aspects
