It never should have existed in the first place. Cartoon Network never should have let original programming take over the entire channel. Kids would have taken Bugs and Daffy over Squirrel Boy any day of the week.

What if instead of just killing off shows and throwing their corpse on Boomerang, popular characters from failing shows were indoctrinated into an extended "Turner universe". Kinda like CN City or Harvey Birdman? Like every once and a while you'd be watching a show and Robot Jones or Coop would pop in for an episode. Its really a shame to see such characters go to waste when all they could use is a little dusting off.
The nostalgiafag in me misses the old bumps and the newer design kinda screams "childish" CN 2.0 to me. Additionally, in retrospect the idea of Boomerang running on a loop for years and years with little change evokes a feeling of melancholy for some reason. Like stumbling upon a dead mall but for some reason there's a single burger joint still in operation at the foodcourt.
