Mark Walhberg and Jason Issacs join Scoob

>Wahlberg will play the Blue Falcon, a superhero from the Hanna-Barbera canon who teamed with Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang to fight against one of his arch-enemies, Mr. Hyde. Blue Falcon’s right hand was Dynomutt, who in the feature animated pic is being voiced by Ken Jeong.

>Isaacs will portray twirling mustache villain Dick Dastardly, who is reported to be the main baddie in Scoob.

Move the fuck over MCU your time is up

This is actually the set up movie for a Hannah Barbara cinematic universe, Tom and Jerry not included and probably not the other animal shows because they don't actually make sense in the same universe and Scooby Doo and it's clones.

HEre are the other voices
>Wahlberg and Isaacs join the already announced voice cast of Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo) and Kiersey Clemons (Dee Dee Skyes).

>Mr. Hyde

Shit, that was an actual Dynomutt episode. Deepest lore.

No fucking way.

Wake me up when SwatKats and Speed Racer get folded in.

>Blue Falcon, Dick Dastardly and Scooby Doo
This is Scooby-Doo Team Up! all over again and I fucking love it!

Fine! I'll watch the stupid movie

And Captain Caveman

so it now takes place where the Scooby Doo gang doesn't dodge the draft and go to Vietnam

Suprised they kept Welker and didn't make some random celebrity make dog sounds to put on the poster.

They don't own Speed Racer.

I for one think that the Drac Pack would make for a good movie.

Wow I just wanted a Scooby movie and they had to turn it into crossover shit immediately. Probably a pass.

This movie is getting too convoluted. And for a Scooby Doo movie that says a lot.

I don't want the Hanna Barbara shared Earth to make any sense. I want it to be a crazy mish-mash of styles and genres that don't make any sense together.

Imagine looking at a map of that Earth. It would be like a map of a theme park that covers the entire planet.

>The prehistoric people like the Flintstones and Mightor are over here. The futuristic people like the Jetsons and Space Ghost are over here. Megakat City is here. Mer is out in the ocean, over here. The Quest Compound is over in this little corner.

That would be super cool to see.

Its not really a Scooby Doo movie. Its a launching point for a...sigh...Hanna Barbera Cinematic Universe...

I just wont see it. CG was already strike one and two. If you can't give me a comfy mystery to solve and instead you've gotta set up your bullshit I don't care about, i'll stay home instead.

>CG was already strike one
Why would you expect 2D animation? If it makes you feel better, Space Jam 2 and the live action Tom And Jerry movies both feature 2D animation.

That's actually what I was referring to, how they plan to make a universe out of this
This. HB is goofy as fuck cartoons, when you got talking dogs meeting whatever the fuck Captain Caveman is you aren't going for realism or believably

I don't /expect/ anything, I simply react to whats out.

Yeah, I'm unironically going to see both about 10 times to do my part. Might just buy the ticket and leave.

DMX
IS
SCOOBY DOO

SCOOBY DOOBY DOO, WHAT!

I can't wait for Scooby to ask Snagglepuss how he's gonna explain fucking a man.

>That's actually what I was referring to, how they plan to make a universe out of this
Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Top Cat, Quick Draw, etc could be their own universes whiles Scooby Doo and it's clones, the HB superheroes, Atom Ant, Secret Squirrel, Grape Ape, etc could be it's own universe.

I don't know how the Flintstones and Jetsons would factor.

I get the feeling Captain Caveman will be a 2D cartoon on TV.

>I don't know how the Flintstones and Jetsons would factor.
I'd say maaaaaybe the Yogiverse.

>like, finally, a movie that will adapt my 15% of my power!

>This is actually the set up movie for a Hannah Barbara cinematic universe, Tom and Jerry not included and probably not the other animal shows because they don't actually make sense in the same universe and Scooby Doo and it's clones.
sure it can

This is very misguided and is going to turn out badly.

>Zac Efron (Fred)
Never thought the casting of Fred Jones, of all characters, would be the thing that bugs me the most about this news.

I always imagined that Marky Mark would be perfect for MCU Daredevil, a mean Irish Catholic Ninja

HARVEY BIRDMAN NEXT HERE WE COME BOYS

>Mark Wahlberg
It's going to be dead on arrival.

Alright, where do Tom and Jerry and their impossibly cartoony antics fit there?

I'd say between parts two and three

But there isn't any mention of toonforce shit happening there. Sure, those animals are wacky and get into all sorts of slapstick nonsense, but Tom and Jerry is straight up Looney Tunes stuff, they go through all kinds of deadly incidents and shrug them off.

assume that for this HB Crossover verse that the more blatantly cartoonish aspects are toned down to the point where they'd fit in with the more grounded shows like Johnny Quest or Sealab 2020

>Quick Draw McGraw
I kinda want a regular Western completely played straight. Like an adaptation of Shane or something just with a talking horse.

You're seriously overthinking this. Cartoon physics can be applied or disregarded as necessary to make the story and the jokes work. It's not something that needs to be either always on or always off.

Not to mention Tom & Jerry aren't even technically a Hanna Barbera property to begin with, even if they did have some co-produced spin-offs in the 70's. They're an MGM property.

Tom & Jerry have even already had a crossover with a Hanna Barbera property, so I don't know why cartoon physics would suddenly be an issue when they weren't before.

Probably because Efron doesn’t have that low voice gravel that Frank Welker has. Even in his late 20s Welker was developing a gravel that can’t be imitated

>Dax Shepard
It's gonna be shit.

WB owns the MGM animation library (Tom and Jerry, Droppy, the Wolf) and Hanna Barbera.

In his pants.
