EVERYBODY: Do Requests, read whatever is up here, or find things in the links to practice Post scripts, comic dialogue, panels, pages or text you would like to hear read. Post requests for things you want to read Give good, constructive feedback to those who ask for it. Ask for advice from VA's if they appear Give advice if you have it Have fun!
Most Importantly, BUMP THIS THREAD TO KEEP IT GOING!
Context: In the last thread, some guy came and asked if anyone was willing to provide voices for a game he's supporting. Someone bothered to voice one of the lines.
Oh shit, I was just about to repost this, thanks dude. If any other Femanon wants a project to join, take a shot at the line. If the OG VA pops in this thread, get at me at edgerkastner AT gmail.com
Oh, and just to clarify it's for a cartoon, not a game.
Sorry, it's just text but wanna take a crack at this with your geek voice?
"*sigh* Zalax, man, I gotta go to dinner, I’m logging off. No man, I gotta go! You still have the recording of the LAST time I was late for dinner don’t you? You fucking little judas."

Hi guys, new here. Give me some lines to test my voice
It was pretty decent. You remind me of Richtofen from the call of duty games.
Hope you feel better.

Thanks for giving it a go. The voice is funny, but it sounds like you're reading it right off the screen. Also the 'juDAS' seems like an accent problem.
Good try. You got a, uh, unique voice there buddy.
Happy to work with you user. I realize I need better than an integrated mic if I wanna do this shit. What kind of a setup do you have?
Brayden Collins
I just mashed both voices together! You beat me to it!

I'm using an RE320 for a mic, which is really more for 'broadcasting' than voice recording, but it sure fucking beats using a snoball. I hook that up to a Yamaha MG10XU, which goes into the computer through usb.
It's all overkill if you just wanna sound decent. A mic that uses XLR cables is a must, At2020's are almost always on sale for about a hundred bucks, but there might be similar priced ones that are better for voice work. Then just grab an small audio interface, Focusrite is what I usually used before the Yamaha, and make sure it can take XLR and isn't so cheap it adds noise or anything.
