I thought they could've done more wih the tapping tech especially with pete being able to tap into venom at the end. The problem I had is they never figured out how to show the passage of time better, everyone seemed to be the same even after the 8 year time skip and the lack of any progression with the x-men beyond Jean leaving scott was funny, though it would've been cool if they sent annie to go to school with them longer term. All in all I preferred maydays book

It looked better, it got rid of the power-drain of the Regent Tech suit, thereby allowing Peter to fight at full strength with MJ at his side, and when MJ asserts complete control over the symbiote, it could have given us ample opportunities in the future for MJ to play therapist to the symbiote, but NOPE, the issue after she has control over it, it gets blasted off by Normie's giant Goblin-bot because they thought the run was going to end for good.
