Seems like streaming services have discovered that the more episodic format of TV shows had actual merit - People tend to stick around for longer and care more about a show if they are "fed" bit by bit, rather than everything at once.

Releasing an entire season at once is nice for binging it, but doesn't really let the fandom grow attached to the characters, develop theories, etc.

It might be that short season/"stevenbomb" format of shows is the best balance - it satiate's the viewers' hunger for a while, but still leaves them wanting for more and eagerly awaiting another release.

When nobody watches your SJW trash reboot, you have to cut the animation budget and episode count. You'll still be losing money on an unpopular piece of shit, but less than if you had a regular budget and episode count. Canceling it outright would be the smartest choice, but that would require them to tuck their tail between their legs and admit defeat. No one there wants to admit that mutating a classic cartoon into a hateful ideologue's propaganda show was a losing bet, so instead they let it die a slow death with half-seasons of poorly produced filth like this.

But, nothing happened this season of she-ra, it felt incomplete. Do people really feel more invested if it's episodic? I always felt it turned out more filler episodes which just annoy me.

Other than that, we don't really know how old is she, or where did she come from. I presume she's not very ancient, I'd guess, in the general ballpark of 100-200 years.

I went and read the intro of the original Huntara and a lot of it still seems plausible. My guess is she is summoned by Hordak via his new portal device to hunt down She Ra in the Crimson Wastes, which was just name dropped last episode.

Hopefully it won't exist. If it does, it'll be 5 episodes long and nothing will happen.

This one already looked like a dyke in the 80s, they didn't need to change anything.

Netflix has to hype up the "Binge watching" model it created, but when you release something like that hype doesn't last that long and you gotta keep people biting. So releasing two "Seasons" that are essentially one season that was cut in half, gives them some way to keep people interested in what they're making for a while longer.

Excited for S3, but it sucks that they made S2 so short, legit thought they where gonna divide it on parts as if S2A and S2B.

I’m really hoping they adapt secret of the sword at some point.
