Since Uglydolls are pretty topical right now, I wanted to storytime the first Ugly Guide since they were some of my favorite books as a kid (and are still pretty entertaining now).

Hopefully the quality is alright, my book is over a decade old and is well-worn.

It's (ironically) too weird and different to market to the mainstream. They have to make them all happy and cute and nice.

Just judging from what I've seen from trailers and what I've heard about the movie though, I feel like there's definitely a point where something is "too mainstream"
