As long as it has some form of DNA it can store it. It can't store outright robots or beings made out of pure magic(Anodites), but it can definitely store cybernetic beings close enough to life(Upgrade and Nanomech) and mutants so irradiated they must be kept in mechanical suits to protect everybody else(NRG).

Omnitrix doesn't strictly need a genetic code, just something equivalent. Since Gems seems to have some sort of basic traits imbued in their gem (compare different Amethysts, or Jasper with CG Amethyst) it's definitely possible that Ben could be turned into a Gem, which would then form into a Ben Holo-Gram.

Not sure about bloxx but Diamondhead's species has a whole super stone that contains all of it's races DNA and can be used to revive all of them, Chromastone (singular) is the protector.
