The Summers family is always the most confusing. I mean Mr. Sinister is technically his ex-Father in Law and he has like 6 different alternate reality adult children, and then there's all the shit from his dad's space adventures.

Summers isn't THAT confusing. The confusion just comes from the fact that clones, time-travel and alternate dimension are involved, but if you already read cape comics then none of those things are particularly hard to follow. "He's Cyclops' son to Jean Grey from another universe. She's Cyclops' daughter to Jean Grey from the future. He's Cyclops' son to a clone of Jean Grey." Really not that complicated so long as you don't mind the basic "comic book-y"ness of it. Likewise, Vulcan and Alex's kids are pretty straightforward. Alex had a daughter that was kidnapped by Kang. Vulcan had a daughter with an alien.

Pym's, on the other hand, is a massive tangled web as a direct result of how Ultron and the Synthezoids are made. To what extent does "based on brain patterns of" make them related to that person? Vision's body is John Hammond's with Wonder Man's brain waves and he's the son of Ultron. So is he also related to John Hammond? Is he also related to Wonder Man? What about Jocasta who, as this issue points out, is Ultron's daughter, Ultron's wife, AND is based on Jan's brain waves.

Any cape comic reader should be able to understand Cyclops' family tree pretty easily. I'm really not sure what's confusing about Howlett's, since that's just "a clone and a couple kids" really. Pym's though? Even for an avid cape comic reader that knows what all these relationships are, it's STILL confusing because we have to question what "relation" and "family" actually means.

Eh. The book is really crappy outside of the mental health stuff (which I'll say was handled wonderfully.) And that mental health stuff, while important, probably wouldn't appeal to a young audience, or go over their heads since mental health isn't a big topic of discussion amongst kids. I'm sure a lot of kids have to deal with these issues in some form or another, but likely not enough to keep the sales coming.

Since then, neither character has been seen anywhere, Eli only got briefly referenced when the New Patriot said that he got permission from the previous one, but notably did not say Eli's name, only that he now lives in Arizona.

I think also Gillen said he wanted to use him in his Young Avengers but couldn't for reasons. I might be wrong about who and what book, someone said they weren't allowed to use him and we all thought "oh he'll show up later" and he didn't

The fact that Eli still hasn't been used anywhere since Gillen's Young Avengers ended should tell you that something is up. There's no way anybody could call "dibs" on a character for that long.
