He did it in the N52 run too, and in pre-FP continuity. The only reason he didn't do so up to #25 is because of Batman, and because it seemed unnecesary. Last issue, definitelky necessary. Now, the guys in issue #26, they seemed dead, didn't they? But apparently, they turned just deeply injured.

He's definitely more violent and vicious, as he usually is when he's by himself and doesn't have anyone who can push him down or confort him. Something that happened with Art and Biz, or even with him being supported by the batclan. Or Kori and Roy.

As someone that utterly loves the N52 run and RHA, this was a fantastic issue. All the callbacks were on point and the story is moving forward at an adequate pace. My only complaint is the twist at the end since doesn't seem to fit the characters but I'll wait until the arc is over to give a definite judgment on that.

There were a few nods in this issue to their previous runs. The one with the cherished memory, for example. Or Isabel commenting on their past.

As far as adaptations and other media goes, we will have Jason in the new Lego Batman movie (for DVD, ok, but still), the medium-lenght movie that adapts A Death in the Family, the second half of Young Justice S3 (probably, but I doubt they would've shown him if they didn't want to eventually add him to the cast as a recurring character) and DCUniverse's Titans second season (that apparently will put Jason as Robin as more than just a one or two episodes' character).

Jason is not Leviathan. I have a theory that Leviathan is Roy Harper. That's why Bendis involved Green Arrow in this event when he is not a detective and Jason being Roy's friend will also be someone important in this event. Roy was the one who involved Jason with some missing agencies in the previous RHTO arc and he is named a lot lately.

It's pretty amazing Lobdell has been writing this since 2011. Excepting those few months with Tynion it must be one of the longest runs still ongoing. It's not like Jason's been a forgotten character in that time either, his roles pretty much exploded in other media. I never expected them to give him an A-list writer there aren't enough to go round. But Christ just because you guys murdered and buried a Vegas hooker together doesn't mean you have to make Jason Todd his retirement package.

If anyone is to blame for all these new "great" directions on a lot of the books of DC, not only RHATO, is editorial, as in, chief editor and the like. They decided to bring back the edgyness, and events that no one likes or carss, like Convergence was. An of course, they are the ones pushing the Broody angsty Batman who works alone, and the over the top drama . Because they thing it sells.
