Yea Forumsermin, and by extension Yea Forums, think company wars is the only possible way to communicate to one another on Yea Forums. So yeah, it wasn't until the entry level for normies to talk on this board was lowered to "Just see a movie" that it got this bad.

I feel like it definitely grew out of Yea Forums console wars. I mean I have no great love for Yea Forums, but I doubt they used to have company wars between Paramount and 20th Century Fox fans before the cape movies.

Nah, the Superman Fan Club that resides here starting talking shit in the months before Man of Autism hit theaters. How it was going to be the biggest capeshit of the year, eclipsing anything the MCU had done.
Asses got super-salty when critics panned it (the very weekend it opened, WB stifled critical review until literally the day before). It had a nice big opening weekend.
People did not care for it. It got terrible word of mouth and collapsed after its opening weekend.

The Superfanboys responded with daily "Man of Autism is Great" threads that really did not stop for about 3 and a half fucking years. And endless shit-talking about MCU films.

I kinda understand console wars because people payed 500 bucks for that shit and most ppl only buy one. It’s more dedication. But comic company wars are dumb as fuck, especially with how easily you can get free comics so there is zero reason to limit yourself.

Glad I'm not the only one who is annoyed by the state of this board lately. It's like people can only enjoy something if they have something to put it against, everything has to be a struggle between two sides, everything must be in extremes with one being perfect and the other being garbage that only an idiot would enjoy.

The thing is; MCU films don't get shilled after they are done. They get some hype threads, a spree of them for the first few weeks, and then it's over.
