Shit jokes not landing don't take away from the tight characterization and development. GotG and Vol. 2 in particular are also pretty much the only Marvel movies not to look like mediocre TV shows, with vastly superior cinematography, imaginative visual direction and generally are on a whole another level in regards to the artistic aspects of the filmmaking compared to the Russos or Whedon's work.

I guess I haven't seen most of the MCU, I was up to date during my teen years where I saw all of them. Until around guardians or age of ultron where the rate of release was too fast for me to keep up or care. I specifically like Ragnarok a lot because of Waititi, and Winter soldier is I think the most solid MCU film out there. Guardians is a lot of fun too, but Guardians 2 shit the bed for me.
