>the tech wiz of the cast is a very attractive and very quirky young woman
when did this trope start exactly, and why is it so great?
The tech wiz of the cast is a very attractive and very quirky young woman
I don't know but
Post more.
>1 appearance every 50 chapters
>fuck you here's more characters you don't care about
Since when was this a Yea Forums trope?
Does Toni Ho count?
>when did this trope start exactly, and why is it so great?
Who knows?
IS THIS THE GAME YOU WANT TO PLAY, user
YOU INVITE TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCE
Probably
everything is a trope user
Is she still a cult in Russia?
Wait,she was spanish speaker?
i am south american so i saw the movie on spanish but i never tough that she was a spanish speaker,i alwasy tough she was generic american
>brown
>american
Hilarious considering a generic american would probably think she's south american
56% user
your days are numbered
those tits look prime for milking
I thought she was black
Puerto Rican
This is the power of El Mutto
So she's not even a real Latina? She's just American. Fuck.
No idea, you'd have to ask my President about what's popular in Russia
I forgot how cute she was.
>real Latina
what is a real Latina, does Cuba also not count?
>OP probably just wanted to start a MHA thread
:'(
did she died
>the tech wiz of the group is an disgusting nerdy guy with autism, a fat ugly tranny or some pajeet who grew up in Shithole, India and wanted money and out of there fast.
Is there actually a single comic book series that depicts hackers accurately?
Captured, tortured, and super powers stripped away by a villain.
But Alive.
Was it the girl who drinks blood
oh no, she's normal now! how awful!
Rescue Rangers.
The MHA world is basically the opposite of the X-Men universe, everyone and their mom has powers, it's actually weird if you don't.
she just got her asshole ravaged by some villains, she'll be fine
Her boss's boss.
In that world? It is. 80% of people (And growing) have super human abilities. Being such a minority, not having powers isn't normal, it's a straight up disadvantage.
The whole world would make more sense if the statistics were reversed. If only 20% of the population had powers, even including the ones who didn't have hero worth powers.
Normal people have superpowers. Unpowered people are a significant minority who are considered crippled.
but then Deku's crybaby routine over not having powers would just make him seem like a whiny bitch
>Puerto Rican
I always thought she was Cuban. It’s always weird finding out that characters are from your place of birth or of descent. I was weirded out when the tomboy chick from IGPX was apparently supposed to be Puerto Rican.
It would still make more sense. And you wouldn't really have to change all that much about him either. Just tone down one or two things a little bit.
Cubanos are basically the Scottish of the spanish speaking world
You mean they are the best?
>cubans are are superior to the other groups associated with them
Have fun with your shitty tasting carcinogenic national drink. Oh wait I meant regional you bitch zone
They live in a world where mutants are the majority, people without powers are the minority and mostly amongst the elderly.
Its basically being crippled, losing a limb you've had your whole life.
You're stupid, its a major part of the whole setting. You might as well say DC or Marvel should have no superhumans at all.
>carcinogenic
Faggot, everything causes cancer according to crybabies like you.
Some people need to be crippled
Someone who lost a fight to Korra doesn't get to speak.
Puerto Rico is an American colony and we get US citizenship. Some Latin Americans are either incredibly jealous of the fact Puerto Ricans can easily move to the US and live there, or they see Puerto Ricans as sell outs. Idk, I’m Puerto Rican and the only thing I know for sure about Latin American relations is that all Caribbean Latinos have some weird obsession with Turkish soap operas.
How much you wanna bet the next big villian in MHA is gonna be a Syndrome
That would be neat. A human that either wants to give the remaining small percentage of humanity powers or maybe be the reverse and wants to take away powers to make everyone normal.
It's the world Magneto dreamed of
i get that, two of my aunts married ricans, but like if the US took some other Latin American country as a territory does it stop being Latin suddenly?
Wasn't that the Yakuza scientist boss? Its why he was developing bullets that remove peoples quirks?
Nah Magneto is a sperging faggot like all X-Muties, he would find some reason not to think they are TRUE mutants (like they don't have X-genes) and then go about starting shit for the cause of Homo-Superior.
>villain wants to empower the underprivileged 20% of the population
And this is villainous because...?
>maybe be the reverse and wants to take away powers to make everyone normal.
So Amon?
Korra final boss fights are never fair
>And this is villainous because...?
The villian part would be to actually start beating up quirkies trying to prove technology>>>>>>>>>>>genetics
And btw I am not talking about a guy that give quirks to people, but rather gives them equpiments that makes them fly, shoot stuff, give them strength etc.
Presumably it would be the methods that would be villainous, like murdering people with powers either to find a way to steal them or just out of hatred for them being 'better' than 'us real humans'.
Tony Stark
That stuff exists, I doubt you can easily obtain it in the Japanese area the main plot takes in of that series for the same reason its hard to get guns in Japan.
Tony Stark was only a woman that one time, when nanomachines from Ultron turned him into the Wasp.
Or that alternate universe where she marries Captain America.
NCIS
>for the same reason its hard to get guns in Japan.
I'm not sure that works out anymore when 50% of your population has the inbuilt equivalent of bazookas
That's why superheroism is a career and outside of specially trained emergency personnel the Japanese have very conservative laws on the use of powers in public.
They already went through The Troubles that Marvel constantly goes on about with mutants increasing in number and the race wars between metas & normies until reaching the more modern age of stability.
Uh... Deku maned the fuck up and sought to be a great hero without powers, homie
He wasn't trying to become a hero until All-Might let him eat his hair after noticing he had suicidal tendencies
All she had to do was tell him he could be a firefighter or something
Only good thing about the new She-Ra
Hatsume is best girl
Does she have any JOIs?
He was taking hero notes and jumped in to save his rival without powers, that's what made All Might notice him in the first place.
he was fanboying bruh
It started when I allowed it to. A "thank you" would be nice.
>MFW when I realized the plot to mha is "this is the world after all the shit in X-men went down."
you mean an austistic nerd who's super bad at socializing and is overly dramatic and clingy? yes.
>manned up
>still Bakugou's bitch boy
ehhh...
Jesus I hope so
did you even watch the anime?
Kacchan literally burn the book of notes he took on every hero he studied. He then literally ran into a fight with the oil monster he accidently let loose just to save his bully.
>Kacchan literally burn the book of notes he took on every hero he studied.
fanboying
>He then literally ran into a fight with the oil monster he accidently let loose just to save his bully.

I'm dissapointed Yea Forums, this thread was made pretty much specifically for her.
ctrl+f has failed you
Does this count?
christmas cakes don't count
No she's ugly and your standards are trash.
she reminds me of Ochako so much
>mfw she wants to make babies with me.
I’m cool with talking about LatAm race relations and Boku no Hero in the same thread
You mean tech to control your quirk. That's nice of her. . . Don't make it weird user.
... that's pretty appropriate considering how her process goes.
youtube.com
It's nice the guy took her in and made her a gear head, her eagle eye quirk would make her a deadly killer
Have fun when the Sunset Yellow and Ponceau in it give your bitch of a region the cancer it deserves
I really don't think being quirkless would be that big a problem, plenty of characters get by just fine without quirks that increase their physical attributes Eraserheads ability only affects his eyesieght, so it can be assumed that normal humans could learn how to jump around and take punch like he can in this world, not to mention gadgets are OP. The most youd have to deal with is being seen as different or weaker, which can actually be advantageous.
she was already a gear head, her "battle" against lida was literally to show off all the shit she made to corporate scouts.
>quirky
I see what you did there, you piece of shit.
Is it true that deku is gonna job until the plot says he wins? I heard he lost several times against his rival and doesn't look like he'll win.
Lotte needs to stop being so cute.
This, in series the only real difference between a firefighter and a pro hero is that pros get to be famous and make a lot more money.
The only other option is lewd.
In the spinoff there's a quirkless vigilante
Oracle
Not for lewd
Гaeчкa forever
>best character in the series
>appears very infrequently
every goddamn time, the closer the girl gets to the limelight the more boring she gets
Pfft, for you maybe. I'd go for that Finnish territory like a worried Stalin.
Hmmm.
...so you get your ass beat and take stunning losses against a force that, on paper, should have never been more than a speedbump?
Still get what I want from Lotte, only for Constanze to go around and fist me in the pooper anyway.
Like 140-150 years after, at minimum, too.
Deku's father is the 7th generation in his family to have a mutation. Even if we lowball generations at '20 years' it's been 140 years, at minimum.
And All for One has been around since the beginning. Dude is old as fuck.
>tech wiz
>quirky
literally just the "smart people are spergs" stereotype
you just notice it when its a hot girl
Are we speaking Manga or anime? Because this was already done in the comic.
Having superpowers is her job. It's a skill she went to college for and had become a recognized member of her field, not to mention she was working with her close friends. She's lost the life she's spent her whole life working hard to make.
Stunning losses of cum, yes
And I will take her Karelian isthmus
Only american female characters are allowed to be ugly brown mutts. Nippon and french know it's better to have cute women despite
I hope you was jocking...
I really hope
>masumi koutsu from yugioh arc v
>ishizu ishtar from the yugioh series
>Yea Forums characters like urbosa, twintelle, olivia, and marina

Money...
In a world like that, why would you want quirkless firemen?
Since 2015 America have the largest spanish speaking population in the world...WTF?!
Can some good korean translate this?
Only if they are super popular.
That's true, unpopular or just weak heroes are basically just neighborhood watch or do desk work for the big league heroes. A fireman, even one without powers, probably saves more lives than them. Thinking about it she could have told him he could be a doctor, something where having a power isn't really all that necessary.
Bulma
And worse, now her team is permanently short one member. She basically demoted herself to manager for the team just so she could still do something helpful
>Deku maned the fuck up
When? If he manned up, he wouldn't be taking shit from people, especially creeps like Bakugo.
If you've got some autistic weirdo who's obsessed with bullying you because you tried to help him once, and you've got the power to literally knock him across the room with a flick of the finger every time he tries to start shit, then why wouldn't you use that power? Instead Deku just sits there and cowers and whimpers whenever Bakugo throws a tantrum. Deku's a huge pussy.
I don't think they expect firefighters to fistfight super-villains.
They specifically train their students in search and rescue ops with seperate facilities. You're not becoming a firefighter without a quirk in that world.
Wasn't there one scen where we see a bunch of quirkless firemen with only one guy actually having any water powers?
What about sand power
All you underaged anons need to realize that the troupe got big in the 80s, and it all started with Jordan from Real Genius.
She was the Gadget inspiration. Skip to 1:24.
youtu.be
Well that guy wasn't around so I guess his mom never told him he could be a firefighter.
>beating up everybody who talks shit to you
Are you like 13?
"Mr. Parker, are you sure I can keep this spare costume?"
"Yeah, you can't wash out the smell of nigger. Also, don't touch me."
Miles bought that costume himself from Stan Lee. Like Peter would out slits in the eyes.
>slides glasses up nose
>"Ummmm...ACTUALLY..."
You're missing the joke, faggot.
She got ALL for ONED.
Ever since languages were invented.
No one missed the joke. The joke itself just wasn't good or funny.
WHOOSH
That's fine, I hope the beans enjoy having to support all the niggos when they're in charge.
>MHA
Stopped caring after the MC got 7 quirks handed to him despite already having the strongest in the series. Also the Toga asspull recently was hilarious. This shit has literally ZERO stakes, a character can be on the brink of death and all of a sudden their 'quirk can evolve' and they'll beat whoever they're fighting
what was her power
Scan. She can know people's quirks just by looking at them
>she's ugly
u wat m8
Because desperate folk with a need to vent desire and hope for desperate folk. The chances of a girl like this actually existing is notably rare, and some people desire a waifu.
Also same goes for gun nut girls with those two criteria, at least from a /k/ommando perspective
>56% user
of the crime
Fuck off quirkless fag
We got ways of fixing that around here
MHA
>Guy who married a woman just to make his own little eugenics experiment
>Literally just pumping out more kids until he got the combination of powers he wanted
>Ignores his other kids
>Abuses his wife so badly she attacks her own kid
>Has her put away for this
>Did it all because he was SEETHING about being #2 in the rankings
>This guy? He's a sympathetic hero, you should all love him
Korean here, nothing too fancy. all lines are just basically what you would guess.
Mind you she's like 15-16
Who are you talking about?
What if Deku raped Toga?
Well yeah. You can train to superhuman levels in this series. It's not really a big deal as shown by pic related.
>Urbosa is ugly
Imagine being this low test
I love airheads that aren't actually idiots. Like her or the blue-haired senpai, and Entrapta from Shera
>not having powers isn't normal, it's a straight up disadvantage.
Yeah, I mean, who wouldn't want to look like a frog, be invisible at all times, have a bird head or go retarded when you eat any amounts of sugar?
He fully intended to go to the hero's exam with no physical training. is completely right: Deku was a lucky fuck that should have died to the sludge monster.
This trope has been around FOREVER user.
A) He also thought quirks (ie, superpowers) were a disease and as a rabid germophobe wanted them gone. And yet he had one of the most powerful quirks we've seen.
B) I suspect Magneto would be furious with groups like the Creature Rejection Clan which hates mutants, especially the ones with odd appearances. I also doubt he'd very much like the current system, with quirk use heavily regulated by the government. He'd be a supervillain there, too.
GREAT FLAMING EYEBROWS
Peridot, Peridot: Voltron Edition, Bubblegum, Velma, etc.
We are hitting new lows everyday at r/comblrchannel
>He's a sympathetic hero
Literally no one thinks Endeavor is sympathetic in any way.
sorry to burst ur bubble but old man knuckle actuall yhad a quirk before
>Character is a huge fucking asshole
>Writer treats them as somehow sympathetic
It's a huge issue anime has in general.
Seriously? That's disappointing. What was his Quirk?
She knew everything about the last 100 people she looked at, so basically an incredible power for someone whos a member of a team.
Except hes an ex-pro hero with supreme genetics and pumped to the eyeballs with combat drugs. Not really a fair comparison.
Just the creators of MHA, and many of the Japanese fans, since 'asshole dad who forces kids to push themselves' is a cultural thing
something like super speed like how flash is when he slows down time
Well, Stain could train himself into being a goddamn ninja and his Quirk had nothing to do with his physical abilities and durability. I still think it's possible to be a hero/vigilante in the MHA universe without a Quirk. You just have to have retarded amounts of determination and training like Batman, which is completely appropriate.
This
Endeavor, the flame hero, used to be No. 2 in the My Hero Academia / Boku no Hero Academia world. To be fair, he's haunted by what he did and is trying to reform and make amends; but at least one of his sons is having none of it.
>when did this trope start exactly
around the time they started pushing hard for women to start taking STEM subjects (whether they want to or not).
She could keep track of up to 100 people at a time and know their weaknesses. It was a VERY strong informational power. We suspect that the guy who stole it from her, All for One, is currently using it to learn what's going on in the world, even though he's in prison and supposedly being prevented from using any quirks.
If that's his definition of 'manning up', then probably.
Fortunately Deku is more mature...
fair enough, I think the thing is is that even Stain and Erazer Head, who both fight mostly quirkless still have a quirk that does a particular job. Stain was beaten by children and although its never been shown I'm pretty sure Erazor head is pretty reliant on his enemies not knowing how to fight without their quirk and also not having a gun since hes just a normal guy.
The only one I can think of is that Chinese girl Todd was talking to on the internet who was trying to get hus credit card information and such. I can't find a picture
To be honest, I'm not entirely how hacking actually works but I imagine a vast majority of "hacking" is done in cyber cafes in China or India where they justvtry to guess your personal information to log into you bank account and such.
Sometime after the 1960s when the big glasses bookish girl became the fetish for many nerds who write this kinda stuff.
The problem is, it seems that just having a quirk usually gives you superhuman stamina and durability, regardless of what that quirk is. Hence all the people in the series who can take what should be fatal damage like getting smashed against concrete so hard the concrete breaks, and live through it. No less an authority than All Might said that without a quirk, you couldn't be a Hero, although you could do heroic things. Also, all the people who constantly say Deku could have just trained like Batman are ignoring that Bruce Wayne has all the money in the world, he could hire people to train him to the max and build his gizmos for him. Izuku Midoriya / Deku is lower middle class, at best. And also, Batman usually goes up against villains at his power level, or under special circumstances that allow him to punch WAY above his weight. If a powerless Deku had fought even Gentle Criminal, he'd have eaten dirt.
This is an ODD combination, but I can see it working.
You can't rape the willing.
wtf is this.
In Vigilantes, I'm pretty sure Knuckleduster can fit that description.
>it's okay to let some weirdo bully you because he's autistic and holds a grudge against you because you tried to help him once when you were kids
I guess this isn't the case with you guys, but I would get real fucking sick of someone like Bakugo constantly harassing me just because I exist. I'm not going to just sit there like a pussy and cry about it like Deku does, I'm going to do something about it.
it is okay to let people bully you, masochism is a thing
If you're into it, more power to you.
>still trying to push the joke
It's time to stop.
>it is okay to let people bully you
It's incredibly psychologically unhealthy.
If you need the power of All Might and to be able to smash someone through a wall with a finger flick before you do something about it, what does that say about you?
Deku is made of different stuff. He treats Kacchan the same now as he did before.
>the ugliest girl in UA has the hots for him
>the ugliest girl in titan tower has the hots for him
birb deserves better
You've completely misunderstood me. I didn't say anything about fighting him only if I'm already the strongest person in the world. I'm saying if I had Deku's power, I wouldn't be taking shit from Bakugo if I could help it.
This. Since Deku never changed how he treats Kacchan, it crumbles the foundation of everything he thought he knew, and forces him to change his ways.
You would've just reinforced his asshole ways by replying in kind.
>his wife, for they are still married, already forgave him
>shoto will forgive him
>he'll die a heroic death
>all might will give a heartfelt eulogy at his funeral
>shoto will take on the mantle of Endeavour
And there's NOTHING any seething fujo can do to stop it
Who's the one in UA?
The japanese are psychopaths and glorify sadomasochism in the name of success
You can say all that, but unlike Deku, I'm a real person who gets pissed off when people constantly try to get in my face and scream at me and all the shit Bakugo does to Deku. I'm not going to stand there and let him walk all over me like a doormat all the itme just because it makes me the bigger person.
And I don't care if I've reinforced him being an asshole. If you're an asshole to someone long enough, they'll get pissed and try to fight back. And if you're the asshole bullying someone and then that person gets fed up with you and takes you out, you got what was coming to you.
Are you really wanting to get into a pissing match over superheroes that have done terrible things?
There's so called heroes in the Big 2 who have killed hundreds of innocent people.
Hell spider-man of all people made a deal with the devil that also prevented his future daughter from being born.
Sounds about right, alot of 'hacking' is along the lines of just calling up gullible people and saying you are a the tech that works on computer systems and you need to know their password.
Then you'd just end up as some quirkless rando that never went anywhere with his life. Being the bigger person is what defines Deku, it's how he caught the eye of the #1 hero. Clearly it does not define you.
Usually, Tokoyami (the bird guy) is paired with Tsuyu / Froppy, the frog girl. Their powers are complimentary and supplemental, and she provides considerable emotional support to his edgy nature. There's nothing to show she has the hots for him, however, and calling Froppy ugly suggests visual dysfunction.
>There's so called heroes in the Big 2 who have killed hundreds of innocent people.
Try hundreds of thousands.
most girls in Hero Academia are great, or at least, there are one of every flavour. Personnal top 3 is
>Mina
>Hatsume
>Neijire
honorable mention to Froggirl, and that one christmas cake Pussycat wearing a sweater
Fairly certain that Babbage had some thoughts about Madam Ada Lovelace as she was programming mechanical computers.
It's old because it's great.
This is about endeavour? His actions are portrayed as entirely negative, also ultimately futile. The only time he approaches being sympathetic is after he tries to atone for the things he has done.
I get what you're trying to say. But a normal person is not going to sit around and let a guy like Bakugo get away with all the shit he does if they can help it.
You can talk about all this being the bigger person and stuff, but everyone has a breaking point. Deku probably doesn't when it comes to Bakugo because he's a shonen protagonist and his character is determined by the story and not the other way around.
>shoto will forgive him
Shoto MAY forgive him. He's intrigued by Endeavor's remorse and wants to see where he goes in his redemption efforts; but as he said, some scars are permanent.
>he'll die a heroic death
Really, I hope not. I'd like to see he and Rei reconcile, grow old together, and be surrounded by their family. Even Toya, where and whatever he is now. Even if it's Dabi.
Tsuyu is a slimy WHORE that is paired up with EVERYONE.
Lovelace sounds like a sex thing
The way he treats Kacchan has always been a problem though. He's sycophantic towards someone who is outright disgusted by him. That he can now squish him like an ant but chooses not to only aggravates things further. This isn't a normal bully and victim scenario nor is it one of estranged friends since they never really were friends to start with. This attachment Deku has to Kacchan is bizarre and makes it seem like he has some emotional disorder. Maybe he is actually just a masochist and enjoys having sociopath friends that talk shit to his face.
Remember when the Terrigan Mist cloud was treated like a good thing and Mutants were bad guys by the writers for wanting to stop it?
>Their powers are complimentary and supplemental
>One can turn his shadow into a semi-independent weapon
>The other can swim well and vomit out her stomach
I thought it was just because they were both animal people
>a normal person
If you want to read about normal people go read some slice of life garbage. If Deku was a normal person he wouldn't have been worthy of being the successor of the #1 hero, and we wouldn't have this thread.
>hori confirmed they'll be teachers at UA next school year
Wouldn't a complimentary power to bird guy's just be someone who can control light levels?
I want to gently rebound the midget clown girl on my dick.
Midoriya has had two main influences in his life. All Might, who is bigger than life and makes him want to cling to the side of Right and be a hero; and Kacchan, who does everything well and is what he would like to be like: Bold, strong willed, a natural leader and fighter, the top of everything. Bakugo's ego is leading him down the wrong path, and Deku is refusing to go along and be a toady; he showed that at age 4 when he stood up for the kid Bakugo was bullying and got beat up by Kacchan and toadies for it. But Bakugo is still amazing, in his eyes, and he wants to be his equal, at least. Meanwhile there are hints Bakugo KNOWS he's in the wrong, and Midoriya is a constant reminder to him of that, as well as a challenge. So you've got a very complex relationship that is not just bully and bullied, it's more like two halves of one child trying to grow into an adult. And it's looking like they may make it...
that's the crux of their problems and
You know what I mean. If Deku reacted and talked like a normal person instead of having every word coming out of his mouth be "I'm going to be the #1 hero" and what not.
Deku just want Bakugou to be his friend. Bakugou literally can't understand someone who likes him just because, not because he's special or talented. His whole life has 100% revolved around being the best and being special. Deku has never stopped trying to be his friend just for because, and Bakugou cannot understand why, so he reacts with anger.
Then we wouldn't be reading about him, he wouldn't even be a named tertiary character.
Frog haters gotta hate.
Tokoyami is an excellent long range fighter, but physically up close he suffers. Tsu is a good long range fighter, too, but her powers are also good for fighting and evasion short range. Also, Tsu has shown surprisingly good planning skills, while Birb is more reactive. As we saw in the fight against the teachers, they do very well together.
>Tokoyami is an excellent long range fighter, but physically up close he suffers.
He does? Doesn't he use the shadow as battle armor?
That'd be fine by me. Get someone with a backbone to be the main character instead.
>Bakugou
>natural leader
>half the time he screams and shout at you to listen to him, the other half he completely ignores your existence
The kid is just a psycho. Like a genuine, should worry about him killing small animals psychopath. All his people skills are superficial and break down under his fountain of anger issues.
He can, yes. Under Hawks tutorage, he's been developing his strong points as well as his weak ones. But physically he's still weak - although he seems to be getting increasing buff, too - and there's always the problem of, in the light Dark Shadow is easy to control but weak; in the dark he's very strong but can go out of control. And really bright light can eliminate DS' strength.
His anger is in part because he can see solutions easily, and everyone else is slow and dense and he has to take time to explain what they need to do. It's like he's surround by dummies.
Except Deku. Deku can keep up with him, mentally. And that irritates him, too, because it's something of a challenge to his superiority. If you think you're better than anyone else, and there's this one guy who keeps indicating you may be wrong, naturally that's gonna grit your teeth if you've got Bakugo's temperament.
>x trope but a cute quirky girl XD
>great
Please die.
Bakugo's issue with Deku goes deeper than that. Bakugo 100% buys into the idea that he has his amazing quirk because he deserves it. He is naturally awesome, all is right with the world.
Deku not having a quirk and wanting to be a hero anyway inherently challenges the entire social order that Bakugo takes for granted. If Deku can be greater than he was supposed to be, that means that greatness isn't set in stone, which means Bakugo might not always be on top. Bakugo sees all of Deku's dreams and aspirations as an attack on Bakugo's whole worldview.
Bakugo is slowly coming around to the idea of people being more than just their natural talent, but he's got no social skills. He covers up anything that he even THINKS might be perceived as weakness with cartoonish levels of aggression, because he thinks he constantly needs to establish his dominance. This is in large part due to Bakugo's fundamental misunderstanding of what a hero is:
Deku sees Allmight and idolizes the fact that Allmight can save everyone. Bakugo idolizes Allmight's strength and the fact that he cannot ever be beaten. That's what Bakugo thinks an ideal hero is: a person who beats up bad guys and never loses. That's not a heroic ideal that leaves room for weakness, or even really for teamwork because that means you couldn't do the job solo (like Allmight can).
MHA has some flaws, but the character writing is pretty solid.
Sounds gay as fuck but fits with the japs.
>child abuse is okay if it means the kid becomes a doctor
Fucking japs I swear.
consider the alternative
>Everyone's stupid except for me, and that makes me ANGRY!
>This one guy isn't stupid like all those other people that make me angry, and that makes me ANGRIER!
He just needs to be put down
cus they want it to be true. so desperately.
I'd overly-dramatically cling her
Entrapta from She-Ra might have been the first cartoon one
>the OG
>He just needs to be put down
>This kid is angry and that makes me ANGRY
Are you saying you need to be put down too then?
forgot the picture
Well said.
you can really see and feel the disappointment in the eyes of those fathers
I would if I had explosion powers, lived under minimal superviison and wanted my name to be "king explosion murder"
>he can see solutions easily
but he can't, Bakugo is a retarded asshole with that lets the strength of his quirk carry him through the series. He barely interacts with the rest of the cast and when he does it's the same-old angry shtick.
The only good thing about him is his steamy mom and all her doujins.
He's portrayed negatively throughout the series but is having a character arc, just because you can't understand a character NOT being a 2D villain/antagonist with evil intentions doesn't mean they're a bad character.
You smooth brained fuck
I'd ship Froppy with Deku honestly, always though their personalities made a cute pairing.
There's also those Fred Perry comics and that one doujin of them at the hospital
I haven't read the manga yet, what asspull exactly?
If that's all it takes for you, I'm glad you're not in charge.
Maybe try listening to what Aizawa has to say on the kid next time, it clearly didn't stick.
>I'd ship Froppy with Deku honestly, always though their personalities made a cute pairing.
>There's also those Fred Perry comics and that one doujin of them at the hospital
>tada you actually get 7 quirks thanks to one for all bro
As someone who really likes the concept of MHA that shit stung. Personally I hope it doesn't come back up for a while
>very quirky
Disgusting.
Wasn't One for All always described as a cumulative power, that each carrier adds their own quirk onto? How can you be into MHA but still think this somehow changes things? The only difference is that they spelled it out for retards who hadn't caught on yet.
>Naruto's a nobody who wants to be Hokage
>lol turns out his father was hokage he's super powerful thanks to the circumstances of his birth
>Ichigo is just a nobody trying to do the right thing
>oh by the way his dad was a shinigami and his mom was a quincy also he's got a super special half hollow form he inherited
I fucking hate shonen
Oh don't worry it sure beats the alternative of hippy parents. My point is more that to me, a Westerner, Endeavor is an irredeemable psychopath. To the japs, he's almost a role model to all parents.
I interpreted that as meaning they add their own training and experience with One for All, like a stacking multiplier that makes it stronger with every generation
You know given how it actually works, it seems like One for All and All for One should have their names swapped.
Reminds me of Teru from Mob Psycho. A character whose powers gave him the fixation that he was the world's protagonist, and Mob not only challenged him in terms of philosophy (powers don't make you special), but also blew his sense of superiority literally into the sky above the clouds. Facing someone with such undeniably overwhelming power and humility, the experience made him mature.
Bakugo is having the same development, but slowly and gradually, because Deku isn't powerful enough to kill his ego as hard as Mob did to Teru, but he'll get there.
Those two examples really sucked shit. Ichigo practically gained a new blood percentage every time some other species popped up so he'd magically be a part of it while Naruto took everything the original series established about overcoming limitations from not having natural talent and just tossed it out the window to make ninja jesus. Naruto actually sucks a little harder considering they have a perfect example of what the original show wanted to teach (see: Rock Lee) and made that character job constantly outside of one example where he says hard work is more important.
>naruto and ichigo got best girls with big-ass tittes
great examples
Toga? Let's see if I can get spoilers to work this time...
Toga can not just transform physically into people by drinking their blood, she can also use their quirks. Surrounded by enemies, she turned into Ochaco, cancelled all their gravities, then dropped them from high and let them 'splat' on the ground. Some say this was quirk evolution, but she might have always been able to do this.
I heard someone describe Bakugo once as 'Naruto, but not the main character so you realize how much of a tool he is'. I feel like he and Teru have a similar thematic origin: taking the brash shonen protagonist character and displacing them to the rival status where you can see how in another story they would be the MC, but they have some flaws that make them unworthy of that status here.
bullocks, it didn't work, again.
So how come spoiler tags only work for some people? How is this still a thing?
It has to be lower case dummy
All For One came first, and was more named after its users ideology and intent for world domination
One For All was named to represent the desire to do the opposite of that,
this isn't like Jojo where their powers' names are inexplicably innate
Highlight the text you want to spoiler, and hit ctrl-shift-s. That will automatically wrap it in spoiler tags.
Like this.
MHA in general can be described as "Naruto, but Rock Lee is the protagonist, Naruto isn't dumb but rather too angry to be smart, Sasuke isn't a piece of shit, and Sakura is useful AND likeable".
Thank you.
Could've sworn I've had those fail a few times as well before, but if it works this time I'm willing to just stfu about it.
>Naruto, but Rock Lee is the protagonist and gets gifted the best version of the thing he wasn't good at so it obsoletes his entire character concept anyway
ftfy
Jesus that sounds absolutely fucking terrible. Doesn't that mean she's basically just diet-All For One now?
>Doesn't that mean she's basically just diet-All For One now?
Guess we know what her fate will be.
drinks deku's and implodes, yes
>but she might have always been able to do this
This is the case.
Hori revealed it in a bonus page in Volume 19? I think and She can do the same in the Justice for All Video game.
Toga's never done it because she actually has to know how to use someone else quirk to use it herself.
She can watch Ochako use her power thanks to videos from the sports Festival and had a front seat to her using it during the Raid on the Yakuza
Honestly I'd have much preferred OfA just sticking to making you bugfuck crazy levels of strong and fast because they guys using it before were to some degree already bugfuck crazy strong or fast. It just feels like it would've been more meaningful to have the strength and experience be what's passed down rather than O MY SEVEN QUIRKS
shit man that's how I thought it worked from the start. It fits thematically with the whole apprentice-master cycle they had going
Its temporary. She can only use the powers of people in their forms, and she can only do that by drinking blood.
She's basically the smug copycat guy from class B, plus with a shapechanging power BUT needs to drink blood rather than just touch you.
Its a strong power, but its hardly outside of the scope of powers in the setting.
And, frankly, it closes out a really obvious flaw in her shapeshifting. If she COULDN'T use the quirks of people she was imitating, it would basically be impossible to ever pass as anyone. Outing her would be as simple as "Spy check: everyone use your quirks. Why aren't you using your quirk, Bob?"
used the ultimate collection of dick enhancement quirks.
Given how OFA was described, it was always kind of weird that Deku didn't have a bunch of little quirks. Like, the quirks he had might not have been GOOD, but he should have still had them.
This is obviously a shonen powerup, but its one that makes more sense than the powers not being there at all.
See little quirks would've been fine. I could handle maybe OfA being passed around to people with largely useless quirks but stellar physical abilities. Shit like blackwhip though is clearly overkill when you can punch a hole through multiple building floors.
>If she COULDN'T use the quirks of people she was imitating, it would basically be impossible to ever pass as anyone.
I feel like people tend to overlook this and ignore it when she was disguised as cammie during the license exam.
What's your opinion on Black Clover
>only person to have no magic
>instantly and perfectly learns to read Chi which literally only one other person so far has been able to
The thing is, there's a built in reason for Deku's list of quirks to be mostly crap: quirks in the past were generally weaker. Quirks have gotten stronger over time, which is why the new generation of heroes can go toe-to-toe with older villains despite being teenagers: their quirks are just stronger than those of many of the older villains they are facing.
So a lot of Deku's quirks could have been 'super hero material' at the time that user was around, but just not as useful in the modern day.
I think that Hori did kind of fall back into an old comfort zone by making Deku unable to use the new quirks because they, too, were too overcharged by OFA to be used safely. It explains why he won't use them, but it seems a little much.
Its not a dealbreaker for me, but I wish it had been handled a little differently. Because Deku was already on track to be one of the strongest people in the world if he ever got his quirk under control, and now if he ever learns to master his quirks he will be totally OP.
It's garbage and the only fan of it on Yea Forums is a bald cuck who lives his life in eternal anger at heroaca's popularity
As in, literal cuck
I sorta wonder if he could separately transfer one of the other quirk to another while still holding on to OfA
That's kinda mean user.
It doesn't seem unbelievable that she would be able to copy quirks while transformed physically into other people, its all genes afterall and transforms by ingesting their blood.
Deku being a powerful superhero when he actually reaches his prime seems like a dumb complaint.
Infact people were always bitching, first that Deku had superpowers at all instead of "becoming Batman" despite being a kid with no trillion dollar trustfund to fall back on, then that "just having super strength is a boring power, he should have had cooler quirk".
>Being a shitty husband and father is an unforgivable action
Also, Endeavor hasn’t really been portrayed as sympathetic. If that’s what you see when you look at his story arc, maybe you just hate that he’s not simply a moustache twirling villain who lived exclusively to cause Todoroki and his family pain. But I’m projecting, there
Awful lot of Yea Forums ready to defend a wifebeater
wife beaters are best boys
Are you really complaining about a series having a character that hit his wife when comics are abash with them?
Mr Fantastic slaps Sue around on multiple occassions, Peter Parker knocked his pregnant wife across the fucking room. (Not Hank Pym though, even though hack writers have tried over decades to reduce him to that when he only ever hit Janet once, while in a mental breakdown, after she had manipulated said mentally unwell individual into marrying her)
Honestly everything we can point at as bad in the Japanese superhero comic can be found many times over in Marvel or DC.
Abortion isn't illegal in New York
It is when you are DOWN WITH THE DEVIL!
The bottom one isn't trans, she's just a weeb.
my problem is that he hasn't even mastered the strength/durability part of OFA and they're about to stack more on top of it. But looking at the last chapter I assume he's going to give the main cast and villains massive asspulls to keep them relevant and dangerous
Its more in their use that they are named thematically, one person fighting for the sake of all or everything being taken for one person.
>people cant redeem themselves.
Also Endeavor has never been shown as someone who has done nothing wrong. The crux of his character has been always been the gloryhog that will do anything to be on top. The world is just lucky he chose to be a hero.
So if your dad beat your mom and also you, but years down the line said that was a shitty thing to do and wanted to apologize and possibly reconcile with you
Who is in the wrong if you refuse
Is your father always a piece of shit for laying hands on you and your mom
Are you a piece of shit for denying him the ability to even attempt to set things right
Is it both
Is it neither
Families have been ruined by questions like this
If Deku had ever mastered OFA he would have been equal to All Might before his crippling injury, he was always going to be ridiculously powerful compared to everyone else in Japan.
If anything having to deal with learning all the other quirks belonging to other bearer's of OFA is going to slow him down enough not to reach that degree so soon.
Equally terrible.
Well it’s one that needs to be asked if we’re really gonna pass judgement on Endeavor and his actions in the story
More like on the level of Monoma, the quirk copy cat. Her transformations can last longer than his copying, but only if she has enough blood, and she has to get that from the victim while he just has to touch. Also, there seems to be no instinctive understanding on how to use quirks, like he has. She had to watch Ochaco in action to figure out how to cancel gravity and restore it.
I was always under the assumption that tomura was going to get OFA so Hori went and gave deku extra quirks to even up their eventual fight
whos that?
She sure ain't getting the genes from red blood cells. Erythrocytes don't have DNA.
How is the bad father in the example trying to set things right?
Endeavor has been shown to have a keen mind; he's obviously turned that mind on his past behavior and realized how terrible he was. He knows it is entirely possible son Natsuo may never forgive him, Rei may never be able to be in his presence without crumbling, and Shoto... is watching him closely to see how sincere he is in this personal reform effort. No matter what public acclaim he gets, the people closest to him are the most distant, and it's all his fault. If nothing he does changes that, that's his fault, not theirs. All he can do is try.
Don't act like you speak for the "West" Endeavor is based.
I mean that's almost a given, All Might is Deku's mentor and All for One is Tomura's and now that the old guard have passed the torch they are both working to take it up and will clash directly further down the storyline.
Its 'fictional' genetics, works exactly the same way as getting bitten by an irradiated/genetically modified spider gives you spider-powers instead of poisoned.
>when did this trope start exactly, and why is it so great?
>great
Dunno if it's good or bad. If it's in western animation, it's hit or miss, more often miss. In Japan, it's usually hit.
In Japan, it started because 'mah cute female characters'. A simple yet honest reason.
In the West, it started as a combination of two factors. One was the observation that many female students tend to get good grades throughout middle and high school, because every student has to take generally the same classes. (They also tend to also receive good grades in college, but tend not to take STEM related classes.) So the progression of that was that when in need of a smart tech-person, some argued that selecting a female person was what happened in reality. This however was based on either wishful thoughts or abject naivity. Highly skilled female computer and tech genuises are very very rare. Even in areas where the numbers are high, the best ratio is 48:1 for male tech savvy vs. female tech savvy. In most places it is a worse number.
The other factor for the nascent of this trope was the reality behind part one. There are so incredibly few female tech geniuses in real life, this trope came to be as a subversion of reality. (And possibly as a push for an agenda, but I'll not speak on that.)
Whether it's great or not, depends on if you are saying the cute and attractive female portion is great, or if its the trope's female-tech person side.
The big asspull there isn't that she copies quirks, it's that she was able to transform, touch everyone attacking her, and launch them 100ft into the air without issue. Ochako's quirk doesn't launch things it makes them float. And why are all these goons so fragile that a fall like that turned them into paste? Toga just suffered multiple internal explosions but she can still fight.
I think you're overthinking this. It's literally just r63 mad scientist trope.
Its really easy to shove people into the air when they don't weigh anything anymore.
Also falling is pretty lethal if you aren't super tough.
Said wife threw boiling water on their youngest, Endeavor is a saint for not giving her a viking funeral
>but he can't, Bakugo is a retarded asshole with that lets the strength of his quirk carry him through the series. He barely interacts with the rest of the cast and when he does it's the same-old angry shtick.
But he can. The USJ fight, he realized Kurogiri was the key, and if he were neutralized the LoV would be stuck. He even realized how to do it. The Sports Festival, he figured out each opponent's weakness. The battle against the seltzer guy, he thought far enough ahead, he grabbed the valuables before torching the gang. Time and time again it's been shown Bakugo is a master at tactical and strategic thinking. He just doesn't apply those same smarts to social dealings.
Bakugo haters do themselves no favors, dismissing strong points that are so obvious.
>He fully intended to go to the hero's exam
He was delusional
Dude, Toga's character notes/concept art said that she had the ability to use other people's quirks and that shit came out LONG before that chapter. This was planned.
I know I'm autistic when it comes to erythrocytes and DNA. It's a cool little fact so seeing writers not know it gives me a chance to act superior.
Oh wait I responded to the wrong post lmao. At no point am I in any way claiming to "speak for all nonjaps". I said that my cultural background makes him irredeemable. If I were a jap I would likely find his actions redeemable.
Toga has been shown to be able to move really fast naturally, so touching everyone in a crowd of a couple dozen isn't impossible, especially when they were all staring upward at their leader heading for the stratosphere unexpectedly. Them going upward is easy to explain if she gave them a push up as she touched them. Them falling down going boom also wouldn't be hard to buy if there was enough time for them to gain sufficient altitude. The problem is, none of those who had energy powers thought to use their quirks to send themselves lower to the ground? They all were just floating along? There's dumb, and then there's DAMN dumb. The LA is made up of idiots.
Although perhaps some of them were flying towards Chitose to try to rescue her and that's why Toga brought them all down, before any of them could do it.
Probably from the comic girl genius if not oracle, nor sure which came first
Not having Superpowers in the world of MHA is basically the equivalent of being Cripple in our world
See Having weird sticky gross balls grow from your scalp is also worse than no powers.
Miners doesn’t rally have any trouble putting on clothes or anything, so I don’t see your point. His biggest problem is he’s a turbo manlet
Most people's powers are completely irrelevant to their daily lives and overall not actually handicapping to lose. It's more like losing the ability to draw well or bend your elbow backwards. Quirks are just that - talents that while cool are not actually neccessary to achieve any decent quality of life. Being quirkless would be the equivalent of being a boring, talentless office worker or something.
Though I suppose that would be a hellishly unbearable fate for some.
The balls only get sticky when he pulls them off and uses them, and seeing how good it is at locking people down its a pretty useful ability to have.
Much better than being a no-quirk faggot.
How is Endeavor trying to set anything right?
Pretty sure it's only that in countries like Japan. Being able to levitate small objects or frog anatomy isn't going to stop bullets.
Usually redemption involves some sort of effort, or for people who commit crimes, prison time.
Call me when Endeavor goes to prison for spousal abuse.
Depends.
Is he actually trying to make amends, or does he just want everyone to forgive him so his conscience is clean?
You rarely see guns in MHA be used by villains cuz its Japan while in comics everyone is either bulletproof or can dodge bullets
Probably start off as something based off of people or reflection of something other people would desire in someone else. Heck, lot of ancient myths had them.
I guess there's something attractive about a an attractive girl who knows how to get shit done or at least do something that a lot of people have interest in.
Essentially speaking the lady is
>attractive
>intelligent
>quirky
>has common interests that a lot of dudes find attractive
Speaking of which, are we still banned about talking from about pic related?
Damn those are some fine tiddies
>Muh guns
Its like clockwork.
It's both. Forgiveness isn't always the best idea, but even still keep in mind of what he's capable of while everything's still peaceful.
My dad's got another decade in him before he'll be too old to pull the usual outburst, and his current young wife will probably push his shit in hard.
>Being able to levitate small objects or frog anatomy isn't going to stop bullets.
You ever realize how many western cape heroes are not immune to bullets either? Sure, you have guys like Superman. HE is bulletproof. But Batman isn't. Most of the Xmen are not. And then you have guys like Spiderman or the Flash where their kit helps them AVOID bullets but if they ever actually get hit they will likely die.
A guy with a machinegun that catches the Justice League at the wrong moment could kill a third of them or more without reloading.
What would you rather: Have gross sticky balls grow from your scalp, or not have that?
My point is that's so many of these quirks are either ass (permanent invisibility), or only useful in extremely specific situations (being unable to eat anything with sugar in or you turn into a strong retard).
I sure would rather have no power than being a furry like the cat cop.
This user is better with words than I am.
But there too big.
>Though I suppose that would be a hellishly unbearable fate for some.
For someone like Ragdoll, its effectively like a famous musician crippling their hands and being told they will never play again.
>Bakugou's super smart, but with bad social skills, but he's also a natural born leader so not really, but he may kinda feel bad about being an asshole, but not really cause he skill continues to be an asshole at every given moment and everyone still thinks he's amazing even the kid he bullied for most his life, and sometimes people chastise him for his behavior
Bakugou seriously sounds like a writer's pet. It's no wonder he's so well liked.
No such thing
Yes, her losing her quirk destroyed her career. The argument here is being quirkless from birth vs having a quirk, not having it taken away.
But tumors aren't sexy.
You don't live in their society, not having some sort of ability is like being someone mentally slow, and you're gonna stick out because you're one of the only ones.
Even if there's a difference between cool quirks and lame quirks not having one at all makes you genetically inferior like manlets in real life
>jealous flatty detected
>Yea Forums's favorite #2 Hero
>Rock Lee is the protagonist and gets gifted the best version of the thing he wasn't good at
So no difference whatsoever
Just so I can laugh at you what was Deku's character concept because it feels like people who complained about it never fucking understood what Hori was going with and instead went with their own retarded interpretations. Hence why we have so many idiots saying he should have been fucking Batman.
>Honestly I'd have much preferred OfA just sticking to making you bugfuck crazy levels of strong and fast because they guys using it before were to some degree already bugfuck crazy strong or fast
That already doesn't make any sense given the first user was as weak as a twig when we first saw him and how exactly do you store "strength" and experience? That's far too vague.
>Deku being a powerful superhero when he actually reaches his prime seems like a dumb complaint.
There's just been so manby stupid complaints over ihis that I wonder if these people actually read the series. Not only was it a theory most people had figured out YEARS ago it makes sense given everything we know about how OfA came to be.
>you don't live there
Neither do you. By your logic we can't make claims about what life is or is not like.
>you're gonna stick out
But there are plenty of people without visible quirks. How often do you think Deku's dad breathed fire?
He's essentially Ultra Boy now when you think of it which is more cooler than just being Batman/Superman 2.0. I think the problem is that some people were never really interested n Deku's development and were only reading the series for the extended cast.
This, but unironically
It gets out if you frequently have to be around the same people, just like how everyone he knew in childhood or his school was aware of his disability.
Yea Forums might not be love anymore but they love tits.
Well you just have no taste do you?
Well... wouldn't you if you had that power?
> It's no wonder he's so well liked.
It worth mentioning that people pretty much hated Bakugo until a very specific arc in the story that did a lot to showcase previously hidden depths to his character that recontextualized his whole thing. Thats when we learned what he thought a hero was, when it became clear that he wasn't just a villain in the making, when it became clear that he was just a flawed shonen protagonist, etc.
That series of reveals was really well done, and a lot of people that previously hated him change their tune pretty quickly as a result of that story arc.
Its like the sports festival thing all over again. People see Bakugo 'going overboard' on Ochaco and seemingly brutalizing her, and treating him like an asshole for not holding back. But Bakugo was there to prove himself, and so was Ochaco. Ochaco was trying her best to beat him, and from Bakugo's perspective holding back would have been an insult to her efforts.Essentially, all of the people in that stadium arguing that Bakugo should have taken it easier on Ochaco didn't respect her, while Bakugo treated her like he would have any dangerous opponent. A point that gets driven home at the end of that same arc where Bakugo wins the tourney but only because Shoto doesn't use his full strength, a victory that INFURIATES Bakugo because in his eyes he didn't win by his own efforts, Shoto threw the match.
So Bakugo hates Deku because Deku's a normal kid who wants to do heroic things? But Bakugo doesn't think normal people should be heroes because they might become better heroes than him? How can anyone consider this good character writing? This is fucking retarded and painfully shallow writing.
>im a smart mature edgy guy.
No, you arent.
Yes, it was risky, and yes, Allmight was on the vicinity, but still, if Deku havent took the chance and stepped in when he did, Bakugo would have died.
Deku did his best with what he had and even without powers he prevailed by stalling sludge enough time for Allmight to finish him off, not to mention the fact that the victim, was the bully who tormented him all his life and turned him into a meek little bitch, he could have let Bakugo die to Sludge, and yet he didnt.
Why? Because it was the right thing to do, THAT is what heroes do! And thats why Allmight considered Deku as a man worthy enough to wield OfA.
If you really are so jaded to let someone die because he looked at you funny or did something bad to you, then you are worse than trash.
>People see Bakugo 'going overboard' on Ochaco and seemingly brutalizing her, and treating him like an asshole for not holding back.
That was the spectators being cucks who believe in sexism when it benefits thots
He's only liked by women...who unfortunately make up a significant portion of this fanbase.if you venture on sites like2ch/5ch he has the biggest hatedom in the fandom.
People don't like his ass because his development moves at a glacial pace and the author takes every liberty to execuse his actions by downplaying them or overhyping his achievements because if you compare him to Deku he pales in comparison. Its incredibly weird because storywise he's entirely irrelevant only a stepping stone for Deku..
Nah its more like Deku has always been the weak kid who followed him around while he's the badass who was praised by everyone while he was growing up because he was so talented and had a cool quirk, skewed his world view. But then you get times like when they were kids and the exploding autist fell with Deku being that one that was reaching down to help him up or Deku being the one to run in and try and save him when he got tentacle-raped/possessed by the sludge villain during the time they were both just civvies.
He's not an emotionally mature individual and its caused him to fail at points in his training despite all his talent when it comes to dealing with bad guys,
basically playing Fire Emblem from Awakening and beyond
Yea Forums's answer to everything
>if Deku havent took the chance and stepped in when he did, Bakugo would have died.
Based retard. If All Might hadn't been there to save the day, two kids would have been murdered.
>If you really are so jaded to let someone die because he looked at you funny or did something bad to you, then you are worse than trash.
You fail to see the point. Professional heroes knew they couldn't do jack shit. Deku threw himself at the monster with zero regard for consequences. He had no plan. He should have died.
No, he specifically meant he wants to fuck her and have kids with her.
It's a Mad Banquet of Darkness.
He had a "freeze time for 2 seconds every time he activates seconds" kind of quirk, but got All-for-Oned and lost it.
I don't see how that's shallow writing, it seems perfectly fine, he's an insecure child who literally adopted his mindset as a toddler and didn't have it challenged for over a decade because SOCIETY. The real issue is Hori wants to have his cake and eat it too, he wants to develop Bakugo's humility so you have moments like him telling the fat kid "Don't look down on people because it makes you a twat with no self awareness" but then next arc or so he's back to treating his classmates like he did in the Calvary Battle.
Why does Captain America work but not Deku? They have the same origin but to me, it doesn't work in MHA. There is no sttrugle or hardship, just training and tournament arcs, plus pointless characters constantly introduced while the rest are forgotten
Plus Cap fought in a war that could've killed him.
Deku just wants fame and money - like all of the 'heroes' in MHA
>Doom crying about 9/11
that would never not be funny.
It doesn't answer my question. Deku from the beginning isn't working. It lacks something that Cap had in the beginning. Maybe it is that Cap could have died with the serum.
IRL I would love to hit on a midget but so far all I have met have been the ugly kind.
Deku could've died from OfA
You're outright lying.
Deku wanted to be a hero because he was inspired by the example of All Might who is basically the Japanese Superman.
If anything the heroes of this setting are more heroic than the likes of Marvel comics, even amongst the small amount of ones that actually seem just like gloryhogs turn out more than willing to throw themselves physically into the path of harm if it means protecting citizens with no cameras around.
Just because these heroes are sanctioned and have home offices instead of being anonymous vigilantes doesn't stop them from being heroic.
One of the best shonen ever (One Piece, fight me) also pulled that "main character is the son of God" shit. Although it could redeem itself when it reveals that Luffy is actually son of Gol D. Roger and Garp did the old switcheroo with babies, obviously.
Dude, just use the command ctrl+S
Why do you think Luffy being the son of Roger would be a good thing? That'd be lame as hell. And what do you mean son of God, isn't his dad the revolutionary?
>Son of god
as an eufemism for "da best genes"
>Luffy being the son of Roger would be a good thing
You are right, total brain fart there. I meant its obvious thats the route Oda would take.
MHA
>Heroes get paid by the government to apprehend criminals without question
>Are celebrities - with popularity rankings
>Loved by the ordinary populace
>Being unpopular/poorly thought of is a terrible fate all the trainees want to avoid
Marvel/DC
>Form their own organisations
>Repeatedly in conflict with the government over what their role is - since they prioritise saving lives over obeying the current administration
>For every person who lives them, another fears what they might do if they turned their power on regular folks
MHA is Reality TV 'I wanna be famous'-tier motivations.
Image does not apply. I have no problems agreeing Bakugo is a jerk. But I also have no problems looking at everything else he is - smart, strong willed, capable, courageous, unrelenting - and thinking "If this guy weren't so flawed, he'd be the hero." Bakugo haters can't do that, they hate him so much, they see only the down side and none of the positives.
>"Loved by the ordinary populace"
>A negative thing
lolwut?
I hope you're just shitposting because that is some ridiculously edgy logic.
> MHA is Reality TV 'I wanna be famous'-tier motivations.
Which is a self-admitted problem with their culture. Its one of the very few things that the villains are right about: MHA's culture is sick and in denial. People fall through the cracks because they don't fit into the cultural meme that everything is normal and everything is fine, and a lot of the heroes are in it for glory and a paycheck, or they just want to use their powers and being a hero is literally the only legal way to do it.
But this is painted as a PROBLEM, not a feature, in the same way that the human vs mutant race conflict in the X-men is.
Meanwhile, Allmight/Deku/a few of the others are true heroes. They are not in this because of the fame or the money, they are doing this because they want to help people and this is their best way to do that. And even the morally weaker heroes do good work int heir own way. Endeavour is a shitstain of a person, but he's saved countless lives over the course of his career.
I think this is a big part of why Bakugo's rage at everything and lack of soft skills has to be so cartoonishly over the top. If the story was more subtle about his flaws, he sort of usurp the protagonist position because he really is that good at what his strong points are.
The guy's an asshole and a bully and has some seriously messed up views of the world. But in a fight against a room full of villains, you absolutely want him on your side because the one thing he is unironically great at is taking people apart. The only time he has ever lost fights has been against surprise attacks by instant-loss powers like being turned into a marble.
100% sure she's the spy inside the school
You're looking at the wrong point in development and point of view. Cap started out square jawed and steely eyed, against a foe of consummate evil, with the goal of destroying it. Deku is much younger, more tentative and unsure - hence all the training and growth arcs - and with a focus on rescuing people. That's largely the point. Deku doesn't want to fight; that's Bakugo. Deku wants to protect, defend, and rescue. He only fights because villains make that necessary. And, as Muscular found out, when he has to fight to protect someone, he's unbeatable.
I think it also helps that despite all of Cap’s strength, he’s still severely outclassed compared to many other heroes and villains in Marvel yet he’s still a force to be reckoned with. Hell, if it was a fight to the death then Tony would’ve killed Cap pretty easily.
>If anything the heroes of this setting are more heroic than the likes of Marvel comics, even amongst the small amount of ones that actually seem just like gloryhogs turn out
>more than willing to throw themselves physically into the path of harm if it means protecting citizens with no cameras around.
The very first chapter of the manga shows that heroes will literally stand around and watch a child suffocate to death if none of them feel they have the right quirk for the job.
AllMight literally had to be motivated by a quirkless Deku before he could muster up the will to do shit.
Why are bnha fanboys like this on Yea Forums?
Weren't you the one saying Deku was stupid and should have died for rushing into a situation he wasn't suitable for.
Sounds like they were following your advice and not just jumping into something their abilities were unable to help with, its sort of hard to deal with a guy that is wrapped around a hostage and shooting fire everywhere using his quirk.
And the whole point about All Might was that he was in a state of depression from being crippled and his powers waning, having an increasingly shrinking time limit before they gave out.
He'd already used them that day to help people and didn't feel he could do anymore so was leaving it up to other heroes, but upon being reminded of himself he pushed his damaged body to last a little longer even though it aggravates his already weak condition.
>Weren't you the one saying
No I just got here, user.
Still stands that you are wrong about it and the heroes mentioning legit reasons as why they had no way to save Bakugou by rushing in were justified, thats sorta why people take hostages when law enforcement is gonna corner them.
Fire Emblem has always had sympathetically portrayed villains, starting with Camus
This cunt posting in bru.
Enjoy your shit nubru faggot, Barr's was too cheap to pay sugar tax and now they're sales have plummet.
Fucking Scots can't even preserve the one good thing they had.
Diet tastes better than the other types.
the abuser is always wrong
How is this a complicated question?
If he's turned away, the dad can walk away knowing he tried to show his remorse and ask for forgiveness, but have the awareness to know that said forgiveness is not owed to him.
The victim isn't a piece of shit for deciding to not even have the conversation. It's always on the victims' terms to decide forgiveness and what level of forgiveness (bring them back into their life or not, etc.) to dole out.
>had legit reason
That they thought the problem had only one solution?
You, or at least the user I was responding to, claimed that the heroes in the manga are all more than willing to throw themselves physically into the path of harm to protect someone, but the first chapter shows that, no they wouldn't. And if they don't think they're capable of doing something they'll stand around and wait until someone else shows up who thinks they can even if it means that the person in trouble might die during that time.
There were about 4 or so heroes there, they all could've worked together to save the day.
I bet she taste like sweat and cinnamon
Forgiveness isn't about you nor is it for you. No has to accept your apology for the vile shit you did for them in life because suddenly you feel bad about them. Who wrote this post, Mark Wahlberg?
No you gotta love Endeavor or else you're some salty racist
It was a slime entwined with the youth shooting explosions everywhere, Like if you dropped Captain America there he wouldn't be able to do anything to seperate them.
The other heroes were rescuing civilians being caught in crossfire and dealing with all the fires that were started, containing the situation until something could actually be done.
Wife beaters are good people user.
If they say they've changed and want to make things right (but not go to prison or face any actual punishment) then you've gotta focus on all the good stuff they've dine.
>when did this trope start exactly
It started the exact moment that cartoonists realized their (paying) audience consisted mainly of tech wiz geeks who were desperately lonely, thirsty for a hot girlfriend who "understood them", and painfully aware that approximately zero tech wizards IRL are women.
>and why is it so great?
It seems great to you because you're one of the aforementioned faggoty-ass nerd losers. To everybody who isn't either that or terminally Tumblr, it's a humongous slab of cringe.
Beaners typically hate nougats my man, the newer arrivals especially do. That's the funniest thing about the Dem crowing over demographic replacement, the spics being imported are trad Catholic to a much, MUCH higher extent than whitey and have much harder racial attitudes toward spooks. All the Reps really need to do is get over their shit and get Cruz to step up and go "yes we love assorted wops now, help us abolish that pesky abortion you also hate and we'll open the Mexican border" and the donkeys will be the ones who are fucked --- WHICH IS IRONIC CONSIDERING HOW WETBACKS INVENTED THAT SPECTACLE!
>Not wanting a big tiddy tech-savvy waifu like Hatsume
Shit taste detected. Pls leave.
This is a very nice answer but a frog is on it
Eh she cute smol cake(31) secretary now.
Also looks good in jeans.
I love how Hori managed to create not one but two extremely likeable trans characters while the entire western industry constantly drops the ball with theirs
I will give Hori credit, he can draw some nice christmas cake
I know about the pussycat one. Who is the other?
And the answer to how is that Hori's unambigously biggest factor for success is that all of his characters are naturally endearing. His writing and worldbuilding are not bad, but we mostly care about them because he gets us to care about the characters first.
There are almost no bad characters in MHA, to the point that best girl competitions are a 'select multiple' deal, because every girl is best girl. The closest thing to an outright bad character are joke characters like Mineta or characters that simply don't have any focus at all, like Sugerman.
Western trans characters are typically super in your face about it and it feels like they are trying to make a statement, putting their inclusion on a combative footing. Whereas Tiger at first glance seems like he could just be a visual gag of a super buff dude still dressed like a catgirl, and its only on further investigation that you find out he is a FtM transexual. But that's never rubbed in your face and largely doesn't matter to the character's role in the story or the people interacting with him.
>Who is the other?
Magne.
TBF normal for them is like being retarded for them, its like if you got captured by a mob and the beat the shit out of you until your we're a retarded crippled. Actually now that i think about it, how do they handle retards with powers in MHA, do they just kill them because they're such a threat or what?
Not really he just did one heroic act for a person who he saw as childhood friend, it would be more impressive if he were to almost toss his life away for stranger. Not to mention the fact that prior to his encounter with all might he did next to nothing to become hero material, its why I like Asta more than Deku, even though MHA is a better story than Black Clover. At least when Asta was told by everyone that he'd be nothing, he decided to work on the only thing he had, which was his body, even though a clear path to his dreams wasn't laid out yet. Deku didn't even do that, and in this world we have people like Toga, Eraserhead, and Stain, who's powers dont do much combat wise, but their bodies do the brunt of the work...
>>Abuses his wife so badly she attacks her own kid
Nope fuck that shit, that bitch deserves blame too for what she did to Icy Hot. If the roles were reversed you wouldn't see people saying "Oh I feel so bad for that guy, his wife abused him so bad that he tossed BOILING HOT WATER ON HIS TODDLER." The crazy ass bitch deserved to be put away for that. But everything else I agree with.
Naw thats even better honestly, that pretty much means there's no excuse to not be a hero in this world. Deku was being a little bitch, and Mirio... well I'll just assume he still works out so he gets a pass until we see more of what he is doing...
Interesting fact: when it comes to the anime adaptation, the official subs and the official dub give very different interpretations of Deku's goal to be a goal.
Long story short, while the footage is all the same the language Deku uses to both describe his dream and pose his questions to Allmight in the japanese are all incredibly passive and lacking any concrete action. In the japanese version, being a Hero is a fantasy for Deku, one that he can't let go of but a fantasy nonetheless. He's a kicked puppy that if they ever admitted to himself that his plan to be a hero is not going to happen, he might actually kill himself.
Meanwhile, English Deku is way more assertive and implicitly accepts that his plan to be a hero without any powers is super unlikely, and might even be outright stupid for the obvious reasons, but he wants to try anyway. He talks like he has an actual plan and is taking steps to make it happen, or at least steps that he thinks will make it more likely.
Very different versions of the character. I'm presuming done because western audiences are more likely to empathize with an underdog-but-determined kid than a kid with a stupid dream that he can't admit to himself is just a fantasy.
>Deku was being a little bitch
To be fair, Deku was at least still going to try. It was everyone else telling him to give up.
I think user meant the eugenics part, but even that's been in Genealogy of Holy War before Awakening
This is Mei. The sweat is probably right, but more likely machine oil and metal dust. Also, you don't want to catch Mei in the middle of a big project because that's when she feels bathing is a waste of time.
Or maybe you DO want to catch her then, if your tastes lean that way.
Wow it really is a reflection of american/ western audiences vs the Japanese/east audiences. Here we pretty much always told that you can acheive anything, and for the most part there isn't much externally that will stop you as most people dont really care what you do as long as your not nuisance. However over there, at least from what I've heard. people are much more seen as a cog in the machine, a simple small part of a larger collective. So its often normal to toss away your individual wants, as to not stand out from the rest, hence why escapist type anime/ manga (like isekais where the protagonists mostly have little to no talent or special attributes prior to the story).
I suppose so, but like replied to another user even though I MHA far more than Black Clover, I prefer Asta far more, literally everyone shat on him for not being able to use magic, but instead of succumb to it he decided to go another route to accomplish his dreams, hell there was even one time when his arms got completely fucked up and instead of mourning about it he already contemplating on what to do next to accomplish his goals,(like fighting using soley his feet or some retarded shit). While I can understand Deku's reaction is realistic, I prefer main characters who are entirely internally driven, and care very little for what others say what they can and cant achieve... But I dunno thats just me...
Nayart, but they sure as fuck do
Why is passion so fucking attractive?
Them titties help too
Tiger likeable, yes. But Magne? She had her points, but her violence and sadism were more than a bit of a turn off, personally.
>game
Is the game worth picking up?
Positive reviews but shits expensive.
This is all missing one key difference in childhood.
Thats a friend.
Asta had a friend who never doubted him, grew along side him, who believed and supported him.
everyone shit on Deku. His only "friend" is a kid who regularly kicked the shit out of him.
Parentage was pretty close, Asta having the Nun (loving but not perfect) Deku having his Mom (eating her feeling but still loving)
Last I saw when I was in a gamestop, it was about $40 on the switch.
Probably the same on the other consoles as well
>Deku having his Mom (eating her feeling but still loving)
60 on steam, was wondering if it was worth the price tag. 40 ain't so bad.
80 maple bucks. Just fucking kill me
>And the answer to how is that Hori's unambigously biggest factor for success is that all of his characters are naturally endearing. His writing and worldbuilding are not bad, but we mostly care about them because he gets us to care about the characters first.

That's a bunch of shit. The characters in MHA are only popular because people want to fuck them. There is nothing to these characters beyond a couple defining characteristics, let alone enough to make you like them. The characters in MHA are more like plot devices than characters.
>When you're ridin' that hog.
Recently, the best chapters have been those that don't focus on the main cast. Shit like Endeavor vs High-End was great.
>everyone shit on Deku.
This. His own mother didn't support him/ tell him what he need to hear.
Even the person, that ended up giving him a chance, All Might, told him before hand that he should just give up.
That was enough to make him actually give up until All Might saw deku try to save Bakugou despite being quirkless
Thank you for this insight, user!
>The characters in MHA are only popular because people want to fuck them.
This, and their character design. The art is by far the best thing about the series, the writing itself is massively overrated.
>Shit like Endeavor vs High-End was great.
>Endeavor actually growing as a person and trying to earn his new #1 hero stop given to him
>Trying to save Civilians rather than just make himself look good
robot kids that transform into gear
It's shallow because who the fuck thinks only people with superpowers should be allowed to be superheroes? What about all the police, and firefighters, and doctors, and engineers in the world who don't have powers? They're not allowed to do heroic things because some autistic kid with bad anger issues is afraid they'll be better heroes than him?
>Peridot
not attractive, slightly above meh-tier
>Bubblegum
not young, attractiveness varies with what she wears
>Velma
somewhat attractive and definitely young, but not really quirky
O MY SEVEN QUIRKS was a pretty dumb development, even if it was foreshadowed. All For One vs All Might showed us what both characters were capable of in a weakened state. Deku was going to end up being stronger than All Might and All Might was doing ridiculous shit since the beginning. There was no reason to give him 6 more quirks unless Hori plans to drastically increase the power level of the series.
>cute grill has traits that men find attractive even though maybe 1% of women fit that bill in real life
Big titty chick mechanics are pretty though, despite being rare.
I don't think Endeavor is sympathetic, but I do find the fact that he's a shitty guy who has to balance that against being the most popular hero kind of interesting.
Mexico has had the largest spanish speaking population and will continue to do so because there are 3 times as many spanish speakers in that country. Spain, Colombia and Argentina also have larger spanish-speaking populations as only 3/4 of hispanic americans report speaking spanish.
This, desu. People give Shoto's mother too much of a pass.
This is true. There were only two heroes other than All Might on scene who might have been able to stop Slimy; and Mt. Lady, who might have been able to manhandle the villain if she could take the pain of the explosions, couldn't get into the plaza, while Backdraft was too busy fighting the fires to see if water pressure could have blasted Bakugo free. It was simply a matter of no one having the right power or being able to come up with a plan that would have worked without killing Bakugo.
>unless Hori plans to drastically increase the power level of the series.
what is 'quirk singularity'....
While I do believe that was alluded to early on, even if it's weird that All Might never demonstrated those powers, I still hate that for two reasons.
1. The most interesting part of Deku as a Quirk user was seeing him catching up to the rest of his class. Which basically stopped being an issue once he got Full Cowling, sadly.
2. He's got seven abilities (plus All Might's super strength?) which gives him more abilities than anyone who isn't All for One. Shoto was considered amazing for having basically two Quirks in one and now here's Deku outshining his entire class by getting the best power ever just given to him.
Naruto was never going to be an underdog the moment it was established that he could make hundreds of solid clones and continually spam that ability when most people can barely manage five.
Are their any battle shonen that subvert some cliches?
Quirk Singularity is toted as a generational thing, by the time the a quirk is manifested that gives its wielder god like control, Deku will probably either long dead or an old man...
THIS,
Naruto got to where he is in life due to a mixture of genetics, nepotism, luck, and literal divine fate. If he was born to just a random ninja not from a clan that has a god like amount of chakra, he would've died on the spot in the 1st episode/chapter. Also whats even more bullshit about the shadow clone jutsu spam, is that its the only one that allows the wielder to retain the knowledge of ALL THE CLONES, that means any person with an average amount of intelligence, could learn a sickening amount of information in a short time. Naruto needed that just so that his retarded ass wouldn't get left behind.
Maybe mob psycho and one punch man. The main characters drives aren't to be the strongest, so the story takes different turns then what you'll think. You might like houseki no kuni. It's not a battle shonen but I sure haven't been able to predict what will happen every chapter.
Naruto was fine until later Part 2. Part 1/early Part 2 was just the son of a Hokage that wasn't part of some clan and I don't think the Uzumaki had large amounts of chakra at that point.
Froppy is for best boy Lord Explosion Murder.
I thought Steam had regional pricing.
>that's when she feels bathing is a waste of time
imagine
Eh I feel it was still kinda bullshit that the guy who couldn't even make a normal clone, could make 100 shadow clones where normally more than 2 would kill a person. But I will agree Naruto was fine up until Shippuden, after that it completely dropped the ball on its original concept.
Yeah people seem give the chicks in MHA a lot of leeway for the bull shit they have. Kinda like how every one hates Mineta, even though they love Midnight, who is a pedophilic masochist pervert.
>Guy is a nobody ninja who trained hard to be respected
>he kicks the shit out of the strongest guy in the series that even the MC couldn't touch
>this is typically remembered as the best part of the series
Sometimes shonen is alright.
Knuckleduster proves you right. After he lost his quirk he was just a brawny old dude, and he beat the ever loving shit out of villains
This has been proposed before, but I can't see it. Their shown interactions have been sparse, they don't seem to have any similar interests, their attitudes are very opposite... I just can't understand the pairing.
JoJo
This, cartoon 90% of cartoon girls are fucking ulgy.
The only good part in the last arc of Shippuden for me, Might Gai and Lee are the true embodiment of the manga's message, its even made better with the fact that ANYONE can use the 8 gates, its just that no one but a few people are willing to put in the work and endure the strain to use it...
>Whereas Tiger at first glance seems like he could just be a visual gag of a super buff dude still dressed like a catgirl, and its only on further investigation that you find out he is a FtM transexual.
So he made the trans a joke character? Kek
Something about Naruto not being able to control all his chakra because of the Kyuubi or whatever. I'm sure it got explained at some point but its been years since I've read Naruto.
I think he might pull an X-Men
Eh that could be it, but even then one can argue its not him but the Nine Tails putting the work for him in the 1st half. Its like playing a shooter with an aim bot...
You basically described every pairing involving Bakugo. The guy has absolutely zero chemistry with any girls and fujos can’t understand that two guys can be friends without being gay.
Shuri?
"Lol opposites attract!"
I feel I should link the video, since it goes into more detail and its not like I came to this stunning conclusion myself.
My head canon pairing of him is with Rabbit Hero Mirko. There's a ten year age difference, but they're both hyper aggressive, extremely confidant, capable, physical, and loud. I think their fights AND reconciliations would be spectacular.
Every MHA girl is best girl!
The Gravity Girl. The froggirl. The acid girl. The girl with the big tits! The Girl with the small tits! The Invisible Girl!
AND YES!
Even the completely yan girl!
I think with Mirio is that the quirk erasing bullet is more of a quirk suppressant and it hasn't been long enough for it to run it's course.
The closest thing Bakugo has to chemistry with a female character is with Ochaco, and that is based entirely on him treating her with what he considers respect during their fight at the sports festival.
Which was for only tangentially related reasons Ochaco's best moment in the story thus far, because it showed that despite being a bubblegum scented bag of rainbows she has iron in there. Ochaco's body gave out in that fight, but her spirit never did. She pretty much threw herself against the wall to the end until she finally passed out.
wait what the fuck
Not true.
The Shiketsu slut, Camie, made him laugh.
Tiger, I'll give you.
But Magne? Well liked?
The school setting of BNHA ruins the story. Hori should focus on making the cast pros or focus on the what the League of Villains and other groups are doing. Trying to do both means one part of the plot has to completely stop so the other can progress.
Maybe you'd like Vigilantes more? Side story in the same universe about illegal superheroes.
>still have 5 more months until the new season of MHA comes out
>probably another year until the dub comes out on toonami
>tell him he could be a firefighter or something
Allmight literally said go become a Police officer, that they're heros too.
I thought everyone agreed that Vigilantes was better.
Vigilantes is a much more interesting story. Drops the school tropes and explores an interesting element of the universe.
Im partial to the street level stuff
Not super pleased about Crawler's powers getting better. Kinda loved him when it was mediocre. Really sold the series as the 3 man group, 2 with shitty powers and one without one.
Allmight is a treasure.
Its actually really interesting to see, as the story gives us more insight into Allmights past, just how much of Allmight's heroic persona is designed to affect the greatest change for society for the better that he could manage.
Allmight with his quirk was always going to be the best villain puncher in the world. But Allmight deciding to make himself into the Symbol of Peace brought a stability to the world that just wasn't there without him, to the point that the idea of losing him has people shitting bricks.
Superman is the closest thing in western comics, but Superman didn't have to try to become a symbol, he just... was one. Meanwhile, Allmight has to constantly be aware of how his actions and even the perception of weakness in him might affect society.
Listen user. If someone hurts you, long term, and then apologizes, even attempts to do good, you are NOT obligated to forgive them OR let them back into your life. Your life is your own.
That's actually kind of the theme of the comic. All Might also points out Cops kind of get heavily disrespected for basically being the hero clean up crew, I assume the "normie" Fire Department probably doesn't get as much glory as the specialized firefighter heroes.
It's because Superman was created, then became it while All Might was created to be commentary on that Phenomenon.
>Cops kind of get heavily disrespected for basically being the hero clean up crew, I assume the "normie" Fire Department probably doesn't get as much glory as the specialized firefighter heroes.
That's seriously retarded.
Makes sense when the majority of COOL crime is taken down by Heroes, the regular cops just become donut munchers and beat cops to the public eye.
And again, it's kind of the theme of the damn comic
I can think of speed buggy I suppose. Other noteworthy characters would be Gadget Hackwrench.
Normal firefighters don't have PR firms and advertising agencies shilling for them like professional supers do.
In MHA's world, whether or not people believe in the institution of superheroes is the number 1 detterant to supercrime. Whether or not people believe in firefighters generally doesn't impact how many almost burn their house down being bad at cooking.
This pairing makes the most sense yet shippers throw autistic fits about it
Sucks for them that the porn for it is usually the best tho
>This pairing makes the most sense
In terms of Bakugo pairings
>This pairing makes the most sense
user please
None of Bakugo's pairings make any sense.
*Blocks your path.*
Hi jeremy, still a bald cuck?
quien es jeremy
>Not really he just did one heroic act for a person who he saw as childhood friend, it would be more impressive if he were to almost toss his life away for stranger
Not really, you're simply nitpicking a noble act for the sake of it.
Bakugous attitude is justified because the cast is subdued in abnormal quirkiness towards his actions and pass it off as humor instead of disturbing and hostile in a sane reactive fashion. The whole cast is tailored made to be submissive to Bakugou, that's why I despise this series so much, Bakugou is the biggest Mary sue lead in shonen woth no real believable flaws and consequences for his actions.
>"If this guy weren't so flawed, he'd be the hero."
Isn't that what Shouto is to Dekus eyes?
Yes, Bakugous a Mary sue with the most shallow excuses to never treat his own flaws seriously. As expected of Horis pet character.
Bakugo is the worst character. He literally solos round 4 of the join training arc, even when Hori tried to hype Setsuna by saying she got in through recommendations.
This so much. The kid is dangerous and his professors pass it off as "pridefulness", his "friends" just brush off his insults and hostility, and Deku practically sucks his dick. It's bizarre nobody takes him seriously when he had to be muzzled after winning the exhibitions. Only Best Jeanist even tried to address his problems, and he ultimately failed
But in return it made Shouto a main character regressed in his growth as a character that showcases how co dependant he is on enji instead of being independant.
Can someone tell me why every fan of the series wants to self insert as him and draws thousands of hentai fan art of him despite the fact he was really truely obsessed and lusted over a guy?
C mon guys, Bakugou is worser than Sasuke in being paired with women. There a a reason kirishima is always been a big ship with him, because the dude is the only guy who's insane enough to put with him.
You're confusing Naruto with Sasuke
>When you’re such a rage freak that literal criminals thought they could convince you to join them
They were wrong but if I saw that a kid had to be literally chained and muzzled just because he didn’t win a tournament the way he wanted then i’d assume the same thing
His quirk was "Acceleration", which gave him super speed for a couple of seconds, then back to normal for an unspecific cooldown period. It's not specified in the manga how he lost his quirk, but obviously All For One stole it.
Magneto might well be down with the Meta Liberation Army's ideology, that even if "mutants" are the majority they're still being oppressed by the laws that restrict them from using their powers.
Thanks Yea Forums, I enjoyed shit posting about anime with you
Bumping this for no reason
