It's just a good movie.

I don't know, I ignored it because it sounded like a SJW pandering, Peter Parker is Spiderman and I don't see the point in replace him, and I used to ship Peter and Gwen.

By the way, I hate that haircut.

Miles Morales was as bland as usual but it was pretty good for the animation and action scenes alone. legit coolest Doc Ock ever

the goofs were hit and miss. Penny Parker made me feel secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved.

Blame spidernog

By the way, I love that haircut.

What was "bland" about him exactly?

Story won't be remembered, but the animation will and it will be copied. Badly.

Not the same user, but I don't like stories that heap praise on literally some kid. Miles is literally some kid - the only thing that ever made him special was his skin color.

It's great, but we really don't need to keep shitposting about it, it's not getting any better or worse since it came out.

Utter shit, and the sequel will confirm it

There are literally three (four if you want to count Spider Ham) Peter Parker Spider-Men in this movie. It's not like they're phasing him out.

This. People keep hype posting about it and, while it's nice to see people liked it, you're going to get people like who hate it just because people like talking about it.

Although I agree it doesn't need so many threads, the opinions of contrarians can be disregarded entirely.

>Spider-Verse, animated classic or shit?

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Why can't it just be an entertaining, well-made cartoon about Spider-Man?

And for the most of the movie, it shows. He gets his ass kicked and only Peter B. respects him.

It was enjoyable, but not nearly worthy of the hype it receives. Glad I didn't see it in theatres.

Because you’re white.

Ok I gonna check it out, but I have a bad feeling about it.

>Penny Parker made me feel secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved.
>anime edge Penny movie never ever

This is Yea Forums. Nothing can ever be in-between, just okay, or alright. Its always either shit and you're a shill if you like it, or its amazing and you're a troll if you dislike it.

Miles is a terrible character.

Everything else was great.

Miles was actually good in this though. He felt like an actual character

All the points gained through visual style is lost by the shitty story.

It's no Raimi. It's close but the multiverse gimmick detracts from Miles' story.

I want to like this movie but it feels like ghostbusters and star wars all over again. Whites getting portrayed as broke lazy hobo bums. Niggers and other people of color running around the place. Stuipd dyke mary sue haircut and 2 smug 4 U roastie characters. I'm fucking sick of SJW ruining what could have interesting concepts and ideas. Just remove Miles, and that stuipd chink, make Peter the main character and a lot more handsome and dignified and a actual attractive Gwen with nice juicy double DDs with shoulder long hair and it will be 10/10. But as it is, hard pass on this one.

It's proof that Miles is a terrible character that can't stand on his own two feet.

She does, too.

user, I think you just want something you can masturbate too...

I watched the Alternate Universe Cut yesterday and I got to say, there's something about most of the cut scenes that makes me really glad they got cut. Of course there's something to say about polish being important and that a few script tweaks couldn't salvage some of them too, but almost all of them - especially scenes with Ganke - have this typical Sony Pictures Animation style toilet kid shit humor that doesn't gel with the rest of the film and would've been obnoxious if it did. Fucks sake Ganke at one point tries to scrape off Miles from the ceiling with butter. And pulls off his underwear to show his butt. And also they have a dance off. It's just ridiculous that I wonder if they had some storyboarder still operating under the impression this was the Emoji Movie.
And while these scenes don't come around as often in the later half of the movie, there's still some originals like the toilet falling on sp//der and the scene where Aaron and Jeff are interrupted by a pizza guy that have signs of that same problem.
Finally even the scenes that maybe should've been kept like Peter talking to Miles after his failed test with the rest of the Spider gang could've been improved. Like there was no need for Peter to go "YES that was emotional!" at the end of that scene.
Basically what is interesting here is that by cutting this stuff, SPA are showing a rising awareness that they do not NEED to have that sort of shit in their films. They can just let their movies be mature at no loss of entertainment. And even though I would've appreciated more Ganke at some point in the film, maybe if they can't sort him into the narrative yet it's best they're staying him out until the sequel.
Hopefully what this means is a future for SPA where they don't make shit film after shit film, learning the lessons they have from Into the Spider-Verse.

Maybe those rumors about Solo where true.

it's a good movie. Focusing on the romance part will kill it.

Literally perfect

I love her

What rumors?

why is this movie literally shadman style?

Live action

I want to action her live if you know what I mean.

BLACKED

Imagine being this dumb

Literally the best

It was meh. The only saving grace was the visuals.
Plot was fucking retarded and inconsistent.

For this movie: Absolute classic
For a sequel: Absolute shit

>Peni and mech are redesigned to remove Evangelion references

Eh

I like it, but the Gwen Stacy plothole has not been resolved yet

I hate Gwen's hair and that she liked Miles romantically so nope

Animated CUNNY

she looks like she fucks boomers

Without Peter B. x Gwen it can't be a classic.
For me.

Absolute kino

It was a spider man movie made to spite spider man fans. As an animated movie, especially a Sony animated one, it was fine but there was no heart in the whole production. Just the desperation of a studio on its last legs looking for a hit, and it looked good I’ll give it that but to many decision we’re made for the sake of making references. Just look at all the speculation threads about the next movie, it’s just endless demands for more wacky references no heart or soul wanted or needed from spider verse 2

Good. But overrated around here

Attached: girl.png (471x402, 272K)

so its his skin color bothers you gotcha

Whosever idea it was to give Gwen a gap in her front teeth, based and genius.

His skin color is the only reason he got a movie user, Miguel, mayday and parvitar all predate him yet never got a fifth of the support from the company he has

lol, seething

I suppose because something I unironocally like has been co opted by people who have no love for it. Do you have opinions of your own or is everything you like either the most popular thing or the current workers thing? Miles ruins peter, and that’s be fine if he added anything unique or new to the franchise but he hasn’t in his 9 years of publishing and he never has to as long as people like you continue to enjoy this animosity as if it means anything

It's a cute movie with great animation and Spidey Noir is goddamn awesome.

Miles doesn't ruin anything having to do with Peter he is his own character. You're just mad because he's black and no other reason. Therefore I can't really take your arguments seriously at all.

I’m mad because he had no character for the 9 years has no in universe origin and hasn’t been quantified in peters life ever. He’s just there to kill Pete off because that’s his origin story and I have no problem with that in theory but they’ve never bothered to give him anything beyond that of his own

Peter didn't go anywhere. Plenty of comics shows and movies with Peter. Cry me a fucking river.

Completely agree

Attached: 1546852743642.jpg (1200x1360, 297K)

Let's not beat around the bush here.
The singular reason you're upset is that a version of Peter Parker died. Everything else you say is a problem is actually completely tangential to the fact that your absolute most revered saint of a hero character had to turn into a corpse, even if it was a version as irrelevant and retarded as Ultimate Spider-man.

I’m upset because the version died for no reason and had his character sabotaged to build miles. That’s what all of these new characters do they aren’t built by their own actions stories or merits but by the names they’ve taken and how their writers yank the character they’re based on to justify the replacement

And as I’ve said if miles brought anything of his own to the franchise I wouldn’t be able to say anything but he hasn’t in his 9 years of publication

Please stop pretending to dislike a thing for the sake of astroturfing this movie. It's not genuine dislike at all.

literal retard

I'll repeat myself in case you didn't read right the first time.
The only reason you're upset is that a Peter Parker died and you are disingenuously trying to make it about other circumstantial issues. You're making the argument in bad faith and no-one has to listen to you.

There's no way out of her leg lock

Attached: 1548029964966.jpg (1680x990, 625K)

Have you ever read any of the 80 odd issues of Miles comics? You say it’s disingenuous because you disagree with me. You enjoy the character because of one movie and think anyone who dealt with him in the comics for almost a decade has no “real opinion” because it doesn’t match your limited understanding of the character

>You say it’s disingenuous because you disagree with me.
No I say it's disingenuous because it is.
Nobody cares about bad comics that don't impact greater canon, so I don't believe you do either. It's far more plausible you're just upset that a Peter Parker died.

And that's a good thing.

Attached: 1552607107067.jpg (1280x973, 267K)

I’m upset that that is still his only origin, Miles has been a part of the 616 canon for over 4 years now and still has no actual attachment to the universe. I like the connective tissue that made these books work for decades now their are no editors and bendis reigned supreme. Miles is getting his 250th issue soon over 160 of those issues have no mention of him and over 200 of those aren’t in canon, because of that he has a higher issue count than luke cage or black panther characters who’ve been around for decades longer. And he gets constant bumps because of the name he’s co opted not because he has ever had a good story

Attached: 73810646_p0_Spider_Gwen.jpg (1280x870, 134K)

Nobody cares this much about a comics character that hasn't done anything and doesn't matter that it would impact the viewing of the best animated film of the decade.
You're literally only upset because a Peter Parker died.

>trying to compare Spiderverse to a talentless pedophile who compensates lack of artistic talent with chromatic aberration
Whew

>nobody cares about the franchise that this animated movie was based on
Perfect way to describe you movie fags

Nobody cares about the comics Ultimate universe and nobody ever should, that goes without saying.

ItSV is only based on bad comics which is why nobody cares about the source material, because the movie is better. Caring about bad things is autistic.

Sidecuts are cute, as long as you don't go full bald.

I was amused that they went with the gum in the hair route just to stop Old Men Yelling at Clouds from hating her because of her haircut.

Can Miles' dick pick even fit on the screen?

It’s actually a good movie.
There are people out there who didn’t watch because they thought same as you.
If there were more people like you then Ralph breaks the internet would had won an oscar

Attached: 429CB5A6-38A1-4502-92A3-8708062A0400.jpg (639x502, 59K)

It was the only movie in the running that had a black lead, Hollywood wasn’t going to give the Oscar to anyone else last year (not that it wasn’t good)

But miles isn’t in the ultimate universe he hasn’t for longer than he ever was. He still has no direct connection to the universe he’s been in for years

That doesn't matter. It's not the source material for ItSV. It's just some comic series nobody on Yea Forums cares about.

>he hasn’t for longer than he ever was

Them making her just a regular kawaii animu bitch is what annoyed me the most, honestly. The decision just feels soulless, even if she is cute.

also post Penny

Attached: 1551984001699.jpg (1080x1054, 212K)

Her design is trash: the eyes, the shape of her face, it just screams western animation studio trying to imitate anime like you see shows like Totally Spies or W.I.T.C.H do, it's awful and ruined her scenes more than her constant jobbing.
If they couldn't go all the way, they should have just modeled her after 3D anime and let Spider-Ham be the 2D guy.
It's not like 3DCG anime can't look good nowadays

Animated classic horribly marred by bizarre insistence on constant use of low framerates.
