Good evening owls,
More teens! More camp!
Good evening owls,
More teens! More camp!
speaking of camp, did get a bit distracted browsing some Met Gala looks
the story so far: she gonna rescue her friends
I thought I understood camp
But I don't
i actually have a weekday off and can post and read the thread!
Damn I miss the 90s. Thanks user!
Hello, Storyteller.
Genuinely surprised at how Gen 13 has an actual story. I had always heard that it was just a bunch of fanservice.
Amazing what you learn when you check something out for yourself.
Damn, Englehart went NUTS
I'm a little disappointed it's not the outdoorsy kind of camp, personally.
A lot of boring men at the gala have clearly understood nothing about camp, but at least the gays are there to represent
this will surely end well!
Hey OP.
My Comics trade pile of shame is down to one PMIF Epic collection, so I ordered some Mage and Future Quest (because I didn't have a chance to get out of town to see Endgame)
comic artists should copy people's outfits from it
such crazy designs
I need to work on my vidya backlog but I went shopping/bike shop on my day off
dudes fixed it for free!!!
every writer (besides Claremont) actually tried really hard to make it work and give everyone personalities first before ever caring about plot
its weird how much heart random issues of this series has
checking things out for yourself is fun, we find things like Jared Fate
How is this gun supposed to work.
I got the switch version of FFXII and Larsa is the cutest little battle shota
I haven't played this game since the PS2 version and I'm liking it a lot
shoots big bullet lasers really fast and hard
it's badly paced near the end but there's so much to like in it
Gala?
This is why I'm pro-bullet laser gun control.
yeah, the theme is 'camp' and so many dudes are all "Hmm, a boring black suit with some slightly colored shoes!"
The magazine taped to the loaded mag is still silly. I love it.
Really, finding out that certain things are actually good is kind of our thing.
I, uh, kinda had such an experience recently, in fact.
Cranky I finally caught up on Wilson WW and man it got way better and more fun, which was what I was hoping for from the start
Also she totally stole my fan script where Diana and Giganta go hunting rock titans in the Montana mountains
Bless them bike dudes!
And that 90s as fuck gun!
I'm surprised that uniform fits her.
nice, shirtless boy toy
look at that ponytail
This Stanley and his monster reboot sucks.
Ah, there's the Gratuitous Nudity this show was missing.
HBO's Gen 13 when?
I never actually beat it, towards the end I got distracted by weapons and side quests
This guy conditions.
I don't know what people expected from straights. lotta those guys always show up in boring suits anyway
LOL
the bounty hunts are fun and a legitimate challenge, except for the endless grind of Ring Wyrm/Yiazmat, which aren't worth it
Gilgamesh, Ultima, and Zodiark are legitimately hard
kick in the balls: never not funny
yeah, I beat the hell wyrm but that nonsense put me off ever doing Yiazmat
One big tweak to this version of the game that is an amazing addition is being able to play at 4x speed, hunts and boss fights go so much faster
>4x speed
omg, that's great
Chrono Cross had the NG+ fastforward, loved that too
Right? It's not great, but it's certainly nice. Apparently, this brand of low key humor is Wilson's signature, and it actually fits quite well.
And yeah, Diana and Doris teaming up and snarking on each other was fun. In fact, Diana has straight up gathered up an adventuring party.
>The magazine taped to the loaded mag is still silly.
Also a thing people actually did.
Windstorm Rick Jones looks slutty.
must show both tearful eyes AND boobs
All clothes were made of spandex in the 90s.
after Danger Girl movie makes a billion
well this page is...well, those are some emotions
J Scott Campbell loves to draw hair and butts
>Homeslice
Oh Grunge
bottom left is A face
And sometimes hairy butts:
>females are not meant to be this strong
Lol.
JSC's Black Cat covers are looking amazing
>is he worth it?
No.
>how could we tell that one girl is Native without something with fringe on it?
>Grunge could get his pants on after Roxy was hugging on him romantically while naked
Confirmed for Tiny Chiny Chubby.
So speaking of stuff that surprises you if you give it a chance... Turns out Undertale is actually really good.
is that the one with the insane fans who go nuts on you for playing it one way?
They go nuts on you literally no matter what
One of the worst fanbases I've ever been exposed to and that's REALLY saying something
That sounds like... every game with a fanbase
lol
it was some specific "you must play the game this one way to get the right ending or you're an abuser" or something
That's literally every fan base, Storyteller.
But seriously, having now gone through it myself, I get the hype. It really is a damn fine game, and this is me officially recommending it to you.
all I know is people really wanted to fuck the chubby skeleton kid
More like they wanted to bone him
this is the most 90s page yet
When did Jason David Frank get here?
Said antics are referring to the game's morality system. The game radically alters the story depending on whether you proceed non violently, or just decide to kill everyone in your path. And not like the cheap Bioware "choices", as in the game legitimately plays out completely differently if you decide to be an asshole.
Ness? :•)
Which isn't surprising, but also nonsensical. Of all people, Sans? ... Okay.
I mean, I certainly understand when it comes to Undyne. But she's best girl, so that almost goes without saying.
>90s music criticism.jpg
The fuck? Oh yeah, just immediately trust some dude who is working with the villains, solely because he claims to know your dad.
Look, I know I've been talking all manner of shit about giving things a chance, but fucking really with this? For fucks sake, Catlin, your WIS score really is shit.
oh noes tragic backstory
Oh Team 7.
Wild.
>Pre Waifud Cole
Reminder that Niles Caulder had a whole lab filled with Caitlin clones during the New 52.
And that Rose Wilson had a clingy relationship with her
>that time they made New 52 Niles be able to walk
He was also a couple of years older than the teens.
Then he reappeared older and in a wheelchair by the time Johns wanted to use him for JL
I love how forced they kinda feel.
You know, they give me "America" letter page vibes.
lol that mad long bit from JSC
thanks for reading back wednesday
Thanks OP!
>will never be on the Wizard top ten list
Pretty sure he ended up sitting on there for like 2-3 years straight, with plenty of cock sucking of him when Danger Girls hit.
Thanks for running OP. See you Wednesday.
YEAH, MUTHA FUCKIN' PITT!
Kids remember Pitt, right?
Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.
It seems like the book is just kinda spinning its wheels now. They're still at the lab for fucks sake.
It's pages like this that make Fairchild so great. This was after that initial super edgy start of Image, and books could start to be a bit more varied.
Hey anons.
Can you help me out with this? Could you tell me a bit about the characters in this page? I don't read a lot of Wildstorm books.
The only big complaint I had from Adam Warren's run was his idea that Grunge is full of shit and didn't actually know martial arts.
That's Fairchild and Lynch.
She's one of the Gens, and he's their caretaker.
Also, that story takes place sometime in between the end of the mini and the ongoing IIRC.
So, I mean, if anyone has it cause I sure don't, for when OP reaches it.
Goodbye, mandatory Image crossover that every series had in their first arc.
Do they really act that way? Or is this a joke? I haven't read this particular issue in a while so I don't get the context.
It's a gag story here's a spoiler to the context it's a dream one of the Gens is having in the 90's during the road trip part of the ongoing
That story is very recent "what if Gen 13 was around now" story, so their personalities are exaggerated into modern stereotypes. It ends up being a dream sequence, and the kids are still alive and well where they belong: the 90s.
Ah ok.
Is Gen 13 worth the read? I think I have the entire run from an old download of 90's comics.
It's....very unique.
Honestly depends.
It's got a very fun and entertaining brashness, but also can lose itself in a few places.
But if you can get into it....it goes to some heights.
>it goes to some heights.
Uh, such as?
The original run can be surprisingly creative when it puts a mind to it. Making for some wonderfully memorable moments and issues. Plus - as the runs go along - the interplay and dynamics, here and there, do manage to hew a nice dramatic core.
Of course, all depending on the writer.
But, again, if you can handle the looseness of it - it's pretty fun due to those.
he seems like a genius
Gen13 is what if Teen Titans appealed to Teens for once
Are you doing the entire series? I keep meaning to -- and the putting off -- Warren's run. If you make sure you at least storytime Magical Drama Queen Roxy since it's fantastic and like 15 years ahead of its time.
read Arcui's run with Frank and then Adam Hughes issues
Well for most of them anyway. It seems like nobody could ever really find anything for Burnout and Rainmaker's personality was just "liberal activist lesbian". Shame the book ended before Warren could do whatever story it is he'd been wanting to do with Rainmaker.
