I don't really think that'll work. It's a ticking time bomb of controversy down the line. They got lucky that social media wasn't heavily in place at the time OMD happened and that Disney was still hands off.

The only way to deal with it is to not only erase it but absolve them of having done the deal in the first place, or prevented them from doing so. Otherwise some clickbait snarkers will bring it up and then some writer would think it'd be great to revisit.

That's not going to happen, there's the bug demon hanging around and I think that there was some Mephisto stuff in SP/DP but I haven't read that one myself.

I don't even mean that in like a depressed way, it's just like, that's when the story ended for me, after following monthly since 1994.
This doesn't feel like the story has started up again, but it's coming really close. I don't even hate Slott, it just never felt like the same character to me. This one at least feels a bit more like how I remember.

The problem is that Spencer uses animal themed characters that don't make sense to be there. Puma is literally an avatar for his animal.

Like it a lot. Hunted has been fun with great tie in issues and looking forward to the superior foes stuff next arc. Locking down Ottley and now Gleason as artists on the book helps a lot too.

The first part of his run made a caricature of Spider-Man that embodied all of the things that were wrong about the current portrayal of the character and all of the stupid shit that Peter did under Slott came to bite him in the ass.
