There's stuff in this thread that you have to be a petty bastard to get annoyed at. You have to churn out hundreds of drawings a week, so if you don't spend much time on some unimportant character's eye in a panel that only exists to get some dialogue over and done with, you're still sane.
There's some art in this thread that isn't exactly "bad", and is largely down to taste on how it's received. Or, maybe there's an overall style experiment that just didn't quite come together as a cohesive whole but clearly had some skill behind it.

Then there's the genuinely bad art that utterly failed at it's aim so hard that it leaves you looking at it wondering how the fuck it wound up as a splash page or a cover. You can clearly see that the artist wasn't trying to be cubist or experimental, and it was something they needed to spend time on because it was the cumshot of the entire issue, or something that simply took up a lot of space for a dramatic beat, and somehow they just didn't correct themselves. And then, somehow somehow, it made it past their editor and into print.

THAT is truly shit comic art.

There's also the issue of the coloring, lazy textures, photoshop filters, and those text bubbles. The entire thing would probably look better if it was just pencils and ink.

Some of the original pencils have been posted online, and they make it clear the inkers and the colorist fucked up. The penciler had to correct their mistakes for later releases of the comic. His corrections look fine.

Yeah basically. Liefeld comes across as wanting to be realistic, so when he fails at that it's noticeable. Baki doesn't give a shit about realism and follows his own design. Not everyone has to like it or find it pleasing, but he's succeeding at what he sets out to do.

Because Itagaki knows anatomy and gesture, his art is just REALLY exaggerated. This isn't the case with Rob

It is the exact oposite, he have really poor understanding of perspective and anatomy, but his style and compostition makes up for that
