As to the OP's question, yes. Rob Liefeld's particular style was sort of in vogue, but its flaws in anatomy and realism are pretty evident. The reason it was all over Marvel, though, is pretty simple: Liefeld's a great artist to hire. He gets his work done and on time. On top of this, by all accounts I've heard, he's a great guy.

With how he's still living in his 90's bubble and can't make anything decent, while his art continues to get worse that everything he touches just makes it boring. Honestly that man should just stay away from Marvel
So yes he deserves it. He's a 90's guy that keeps looking backwards. He may have his spotlight in the 90's, but that spark is long gone now and he should stop doing comics. Instead he should focus on movies and perhaps some independent projects. Those he could suceed if he actually produce something original
