The space bar has multiple, so it works sometimes and doesn't work others. Sometimes keyboards are even shipped like that. Happened to me when I bought one recently. It's a very easy fix, just take the spacebar off and connect all the joints properly, although putting that can be finnicky, so if you aren't confident in your fine motor skills look at some videos of people replacing space bars on these keyboards beforehand to gauge if you think you can do it.

Empathy isn't a factual thing you can learn, its a nuanced emotion. Chris is autistic, he brain is wired such that he's literally incapable of imagining how other people will feel about things. Autistic can be taught to anticipate and consider that sort of thing, but it's difficult for them and requires therapy and constant practice, two things Chris was never given by his old fashioned parents who refused to acknowledge his disability

He’ll never be institutionalized. That shit costs too much money, and he’s already been and will continue to be deemed too mentally competent to qualify for it. He gets his tugboat and that’s it. It’s his own job to not piss it away and starve as far as the government is concerned.
