In their own timeline, there’s now a full half of all life that were time-displaced 5 years after being dead and coming back to life. In another branch reality they created, Thanos is just dead. That’s probably a beneficial one overall, but still massively significant.

That is true, there were still young mutants at the end of DoFP in the fixed timeline, meanwhile Logan makes a point of mentioning no new births in decades and the bullet for X-Men Origins is an important part of the plot.
