MCU Namor

Is the world ready? Or will he be outshined about Aquaman (which was surprisingly good btw even by Marvel standards).

Some are having theories he’ll be in Black Panther 2, they just need to find the right way to play him,

I am ready for namor to fuck Susan storm and lead Reed Richards into becoming the Maker.

Every time the movies introduce a new character that isn't an origin story everyone's going to be asking where they were when earlier serious shit was going down.

He looks like Kazuys

I thought Namor didn’t care about the surface world, and regarding the Snap, I could see him wanting to be more isolated than ever

Just like the world now see Justice League as an Avengers ripoff, Namor is now forever overshadowed by Aquaman. Anyway fuck Namor we don't need another secret country in the MCU.

I didn't watch Endgame but was there some opening in the plot that would allow for a WWII movie with Cap, Bucky, Namor and Human Torch?
I love Invaders so much.

Aren’t Atlantis and Wakanda always at war? That would be a perfect set up for Black Panther 2 and it might actually be enjoyable.

Here’s your answer:
>Namor doesn’t give a single fuck about surface people.
The guy has heel turned from hero to villain as many times as Loki. Literally his justification for raging war against earth could be
>muh water people disappeared for 5 years because you guys fucked up, fuck you

>he doesn’t want genosha weirdness, latveria robo-dictatorship, or savage land dinosaurs in the mcu.

>Aren’t Atlantis and Wakanda always at war?
Nope. Only Hickman wrote that shit.

Atlantis is near New York, Wakanda is in the middle of Africa, far away from the ocean and NY. Those characters have no reason to even know each other.

I thought Universal still has the rights to namor or it like the hulk where there only allowed to have him as a secondary character and not his own movie

>have him as a secondary character

That’s what he’s best at anyway. He’s all but confirmed for Black Panther 2 at this point.

I think the best thing to do is introduce him as the villain in a FF or Black Panther movie, and have him be talked out of his rampage by an elderly Betty Dean.

If response is good, make a prequel set in 1939 where we set up Paul Destine and the Serpent Crown, the history of Atlantis, Namor's origin, him setting out to attack New York, his romance with a young Betty Dean and battle with The Human Torch.

>Atlantis is near New York

Why the fuck is everything always in or near New York. It’s not that big of a place.

What has confirmed him?

Namor is a really boring character, they would have to change him completely like DC did with Aquaman

They can move Atlantis to wherever they want in the MCU. If it were up to me, it’d be in the Pacific islands, and the islanders would act like the border tribes of wakanda, but much more militant.

No. I'm actually interested in what Wakanda does now that they're exposed. Give me some political action shit. Could also be a good vehicle to show that state of the Earth after the snap and maybe have Wakanda contribute to SWORD. Namor adds nothing to the Black Panther world.

>baseless popular fan idea that hasn't been debunked yet
>all but confirmed
you know something we don't?

MORE IMPORTANTLY, where's motherfucking Moon Knight at? Can they even work him into the MCU?

Attached: fi28.jpg (1000x554, 238K)

"Aquaman" is more true to his comics than any MCU character is to theirs.

His looks and personality aren't

>"Dude I'm so crazy and violent LMFAO"
Maybe a hulu series.

>Dude I'm so crazy and violent LMFAO
Joke all you want but Moon Knight will still be a more nuanced character than your favorite superhero.

>Long blonde hair
>Orange armor
>green pants
>BatB personality
Truer to the character than any MCU adaptation.

>he thinks doctor strange in infinity war and endgame isn’t more accurate than aquaman.

Moon knight with a budget could make for a really unique superhero movie.

It’s plenty of Easter eggs since Avengers 2012 and a hint in Endgame .

singularity

How does "an earthquake underwater" confirms Namor for Black Panther, a character whose setting is less aquatic than "Mad Max"?

strange didn't fuck things up enough for it to be truly accurate. he always has to pay the cost for his moves.

>First anti-hero
>First flying hero
>First half-human hybrid
>First villain protagonist
>First hero to fight with another hero
>Comes from a freakish race where even the "good" members are indifferent to humans at best
>His 60pg battle with The Human Torch is one of the iconic moments of the Golden Age
>One of the few heroes of the 40s with a distinct way of speaking and a personality, even if it was that he was just an arrogant, vengeful dick
>Had the longest-lived Atlas revival
>Most popular villain of early Silver Age Marvel
>Fantastic Four's second greatest nemesis

Yeah, his dickishness has become one-note, but compared to Aquaman even now, he has very little to change in his source material. Certainly less than Aquaman pre-David.

Probably the biggest problem he'd face would be that his relationship with Byrrah (if they use Byrrah) might seem too similar to Thor & Loki but without the sympathetic qualities.

Namor gives even less of a shit about the outside world than Wakanda

I'd rather not see him in BP2, I'd rather an FF movie introduce him, but who knows how long that might take to be made?

>Namor is now forever overshadowed by Aquaman
Not necessarily. It depends on how he is portrayed

Imagine if there was an Invaders adaptation

The price of magic stuff hasn’t always been a thing. It was introduced decades later.

Feige says that the rights are "complicated" and didn't want to talk about it any more than that; sounds like it might be similar to the Hulk in that Universal own his distribution rights.

James Gunn had a half-finished Moon Knight script a few years back that he said he was hoping to eventually pitch. As said though, it's pretty unlikely he'll get a MCU movie considering he's basically a hyper violent schizo Batman. More likely he'll get a series ala Netflix Daredevil.

Why deny me Thing/Susan?

Name 3 good Namor stories.

>hyper violent schizo Batman
but who wouldn't want to see that on the big screen?

Thing/Susan also works. I just really want to see the Maker as the antagonist of an avengers movie.

casuals get out reee

You Hickmanfags even read non-Hickman shit?

Here's a list of all good Avengers stories that have "Bad Reed Richards" as an antagonist:

>Not even 3 stories
>Not even good anyway
>Not even a Namor story (the character barely appears and doesn't say a single word)

Namor should be played by Michael Fassbender.

He's got nothing else going on.

So how does it feel to actually be acknowledged by Marvel?
I'd feel happy to see myself acknowledged after bitching about a character since the days of 90s UseNet.

>having to wikipedia to know anything about comics

So how many Aquaman stories pre-David can YOU name?

I remember it in Hickman’s but not sure where it started. I know Aaron had it so he couldn’t eat pizza anymore

Seemingly yes.

that's a cute Moon Knight

She-Hulk's film rights are owned by Universal wholesale? Surprised they haven't put out a movie to cash in on the MCU.

Namor fucking sucks. Let him be forgotten
Is right, lets see Moon Knight!

>Just like the world now see Justice League as an Avengers ripoff

really getting tired of this meme

I hope they don't make Atlantis just a random city at the bottom of the ocean. No way in hell that wouldn't have been found by radars or submarines by now.

Just wait until they introduce FF so Namor can cuck Reed

I mean... i can see him being an Eternal I guess.

Kraven the Hunter

I'd like to see Namor trying to woo Carol in the MCU, maybe even try to be forceful.

They're going to back Namor gay as a way to skirt the issue of his womanizing.

You already had BvS, for fucks sake. What more do you want?

It doesn't really make any financial sense for a company as massive as Universal. She-Hulk is a really unpopular character, so any movie would be a risk, so they would have to give it a low budget and any return on that wouldn't be worth the effort for a company that makes so much money.

If some producer there pitched a low budget She-Hulk film, they'd probably let them, but I doubt anyone there gives a shit.

Fuck off, Mount Wundagore, Attilan, Olympia, Lemuria, K'un-Lun, Subterranea, Monster Isle. We already have a hidden city

Yeah, I'd think the better comparison is that the Avengers movies make Justice League look like a bad porn parody.

Bitch he killed tony. That’s the cost

>implying Strange isn’t very close to his comic character
They nailed the basics in his origin, and IW and Endgame had an pretty accurate dynamic of him interacting with others

It started way back, the earliest I recall was in Sorcerer Supreme (or was it MOTM)? It’s not a new concept, but the way Aaron took it in is completely new (and shit). Hickman is much closer to the original costs, which are basically more spiritual and ambiguous than physical, as or should be. For example, to fix his cloak he had to sacrifice godhood in the Peter B Gillis run, not puke up his guts

Fuck Jason aaron

Need a proper MCU version of his gay lover first

>as or
As it*

Honestly having Doom and Namor be integrated to the MCU has me more excited than the F4 and X-men.

Do they even have the rights to this?

Namor is basically all of Aquaman's most assholish traits, with added craziness, but without any of Aquaman's charm or likable traits. He's never going to catch up to the DCEU Aquaman now.

Suspected to be like The Hulk in that Marvel do own his film rights but Universal have his distribution rights, meaning he might pop up later down the line but not in a solo film.

Nah, he should be played by an Asian.

>Nope. Only Hickman wrote that shit
Considering the black order, Namor is totally coming in BP2

>Black Adam has elf ears
>Namor has elf ears
CONFIRMED

I want MCU Namor just so I can see Tommy on suicide watch

This nigga should be the villain for a namor film

Attached: BC6D7B5C-799C-4475-86AC-B646F361894F.jpg (263x500, 85K)

What other characters have elf ears? Can he play someone at Image?

Aquaman was boring shit. I managed to watch 41 minutes.

Idiots will ask stupid questions anyway, who cares?

Just replace "New York" with "Earth" and you've got your answer.

Aquaman was trash.
More like poor man's Avengers

I would like this. Even if he is too bulky maybe.

That chart is years old and nobody was ever clear what the fuck Namor was doing at Universal anyway. Some people even speculated it had to do with fucking Waterworld having a mutant named "Mariner" as the protagonist but that can't be right.
I really don't understand why or how he's in such a grey area when he hasn't been tied to a Universal movie in at least 24 years.

well there was a hint of earthquake under the sea om the endgame so he might be coming soon. probably black panther 2

>Shuri
>Drax
>Oyoke
Those are some random people standing with the rest

Better than having Okoye in the first Endgame posters even though she's barely in it and her most significant scene was stabbing Corvus.
