The Boondocks

Season 1 had the most soul.
Season 2 was the funniest.
Season 3 had the most edge.
Season 4 doesn't exist

The Breaking Bad parody was alright. The rest of S4 was pretty trash though

You can pretend all you want, season 4 was real. Hyped for more of the comic though

the Breaking Bad parody was lessened by devolving into a forced parody with know real bearing on the plot. The initial concept was promising, it was an absurd and clever satire on an aspect of black culture, "Huey makes a c4 substitute that happens to double as hair product" but then as it went on they had nowhere to go and could only think to reference a more popular show then wrap up the plot in an unsatisfying way.
Same with the Manho episode.
Then there's shit like the Siri episode.

I see you playa, there's only 3 season of the boondocks.

Season 1 was the stone that the builder refused, it was the visual, the inspiration that made the lady sing the blues.
Season 2 was the spark that makes your idea bright, the same spark that lights the dark so that you can know your left from your right.
Season 3 was the ballot in your box, the bullet in the gun, the inner glow that lets you know to call your brother son.
Season 4 was a bitch ass nigga.

I liked the one where Grandad was a hooker

>show about black people
>has the cutest white girl in western animation

she has a criminally small amount of rule 34

A good poster is you.

What's your favorite and least favorite episode? Hard mode. No season 4.

Favorite: Not sure. I've yet to see every episode.
Least (Easy): Freedomland
Least (Hard): Tom, Sarah, and Usher

Least (Hard): The Story of Gangstalicious Part 2
Least (Easy): Breaking Granddad
Favorite: The Red Ball

Attached: redball.jpg (1080x608, 97K)

the red ball was kino
season 3 in general is pretty underrated.

now that i think about it, while season 2 had some of the highest highs, it also had some of the weakest episodes outside of season 4. the katrinians episode is also down there for me.

Not on the booru that shall not be named

I really enjoyed the fight scenes.

Good shit user

wasn't the animation of this stolen from naruto or something? i think it was sasuke and orochimaru in the chunnin exam.

Can anyone confirm this? I came so close to picking it as my favorite episode.

his theme is the pure essence of might

I thought that was pretty obvious. Which just made it more funny to me.

They also took inspiration from Afro Samurai.

The Breaking Bad parody was bullshit. In the first seasons whenever the show referenced/parodied something like Zatoichi or Samurai Champloo or Afro Samurai you could tell it's because it's something Aaron MacGruder personally cared about. But The Breaking Bad thing was just "uhh... I guess this thing is popular. Let's put it in the show."

Favorite: A Huey Freeman Christmas
Least Favorite: Tom, Sarah and Usher

Better hint?

I'm not a fan of season 3. The big finale being a 24 parody showed that McGruder had run out of ideas.

This is correct.

The booru that is not concerned with horses, yet can only be posted on /trash/.

I kinda liked the flashback episode with Grandad and I actually enjoyed the episode with Riley calling people gay. That episode is like...the only episode up to the quality of previous Boondocks episodes.

Yes

Season 1 was great. Back when Huey had a personality.

Favorite: The Fundraiser
Least Favorite: The Story of Jimmy Rebel (I literally forgot it existed until just now.)
Honestly Season 3 has some of the highest heights and lowest lows. Season 2's got a more consistent level of quality.

Based

>the katrinians episode

That episode just makes me mad. Fuck that guy and his greedy relatives.

>Least Favorite: The Story of Jimmy Rebel
what didn't you like about it?

I agree. S4 was trash, but the last episode was the closest the season got to the first 3 seasons mainly because it dealt with social issues that were getting pretty big at the time (PC culture).

I completely forgot that was a S4 episode, definitely the highlight of that season.

Mostly cuz it was a Ruckus heavy episode. Ruckus is one of those characters that's fun in short bursts but the longer he's on screen the more I just start to find him annoying. That and it's just really forgettable. I can remember something about a lot of other episodes, Even funny moments in episodes I'm less fond of like The Story of Lando Freeman or Pause have a lot of moments that make them memorable that I still laugh about. If off the top of my head I can't think of anything funny from an episode then it didn't really stick out to me. That's why I'd say it's the worst. For Boondocks (S1-3) Forgettable is the worst thing an episode can be.

e621?

holy fuck

That is the internet for you.

best post I've seen on Yea Forums in like 4 months

>filled with weird ntr of Riley, Huey, and Uncle Ruckus
I expected this but still clicked the link anyways.

Let's do it per season. No Stinkmeaner episodes as that's just another weight class entirely.
>Season 1 : The Itis/The Block is Hot
The final shot with Wuncler is pretty gangsta "all according to keikaku", and the whole episode is built around negative gentrification. Nigger gentrification.
The Block is Hot feels like the prelude to a bad degradation porno, Jazmine doesn't deserve that. And Huey/Tom or even fucking Ruckus should have done something before the Stockholm set in.
>Season 2 : The Story of Thugnificient / The Hunger Strike
You just mad 'cuz your ass is old. Without the rap video, it would be lower.
The Hunger Strike is ineffectual, just Mcgruder with an ax to grind. The point is made much more effectively when Huey goes on his tv watchaton earlier in the season, and too much time is lost on Rullo. It's been a while since I've watched, but I don't think they call out Rullo on perpetuating the stereotype just like BET(just on opportunistically latching on to Huey for publicity). Did they really need to spend a minute discussing Rudlin?'s Black Panther comics, when a simple shot of his office showing framed blaxplotation comic covers would have sufficed or, hell, just leopard print underwear.
>Season 3 : The Red Ball-The Fundraiser(Tied)/ It's Goin' Down
Tie there, fuck you. Red Ball is very balanced on both visual gags and political commentary, plus it's a love letter to Samurai Champloo' love letter to baseball. The Fundraiser has the surreal subversion of a syndicate being run by kids.
Not a fan of 24 hours to be honest. Plus, I feel the old cia agent is underutilized in his last appearance.
>Season 4 : The New Black / Pretty Boy Flizzy
The New Black shows the death of the ghetto counterculture in our rainbow tumblr society, that insight alone warrants it a space in the top 20 maybe.
Pretty Boy Flizzy is just zombie Usher, and I think A pimp named Slickback is there too.

looks like it's time to rewatch some boondocks

Attached: 1489658188045.jpg (256x258, 13K)

>the Boondocks tag
I know it's to be expected, but damn there's a lot of gay porn

Favorite had to be bitches to rags. It was inspirational, in a weird way. Least favorite (hard mode) was the hateocracy. Everyone talks about the fight in that episode, but it was uninteresting and between characters I couldn't give a fuck about. It was the animation equivalent of shallow flippyshit.

I'm currently going through a viewing of the show now (first time I've tried to watch all the episodes). Is Robert anyone else's favorite character? I haven't started on season 3 yet, but the only episode where I didn't sympathize with him was when Riley's teacher called Riley a nigga and wanted to sue for it.

Bushido Brown's death still pisses me off to this day.

Why's that?

Flying Guillotine is bullshit even it it's own movie
