If cap returned the stones, that means they’ve seen each other, and we never go to see it on screen

And when he returns the stone does it go back to being immaterial?

>Welcome, traveler, but know that the Stone is already gon-- ROGERS?!
>Schmidt? How are you in space? How are you still alive?
>It's a long story, Captain. My life took some interesting turns since last we met.
>Tell me about it.
[cut to 20 minutes later, they're sitting together drinking beer]
>HYDRA endured for so long? Amazing. Shame you took it down, it was a beautiful vision.
>Hey, if it makes you feel better, I said Hail HYDRA today. Unironically.
>I knew we could be friends, Rogers.

god, seeing that pic just made me think about the fact that we had a capeflick where thanos seeks the soul stone from the red skull
we've come a long way

>Welcome, traveler, but know that the Stone is already gon-- ROGERS?!
>...kill Jester.

This is a good perspective. I have my problems w the flick and the MCU but it is a pretty cool scenario in which we take this for granted.

>we take this for granted
I think the wow factor kind of wore off after the first Avengers movie. It's like there's this WW2 soldier, a sci-fi robot man and a mythological god teaming up to fight space aliens, everything is officially possible now.

>Soul Stone's the last one that he returns
>Runs into Red Skull
>Red Skull talks about valuing life and not being devoted to the job
>Captain America decides to just go back to 1945 and live his life out, so there's no more Captain America
>JUST AS RED SKULL WANTED ALL ALONG

>Thank you for giving me the stone, kaptain. I am now free to return and there will be no kaptain amerika to stop me
>not if I have anything to say about it, Schmidt

I don't get it

>"Steven Rogers. Son of Sarah. Just a kid from Brooklyn."
>"Schmidt. They told me you were here."
>"You haven't aged a day."
>"Neither have you."
>"Not the blessing one would believe, is it?"
>"No."
>Cap delivers the stone.
>Red Skull gazes upon it, the source of his torment.
>"I once craved eternity. Now I pray for oblivion."
>"I used to too."
>"Not anymore? What changed."
>Cap smiles.
>"I have a date."

>reposting it
>keeping the mother's name mistake (always father's name except for hawkeye who got abused by his dad)
>keeping the just a kid from brooklyn thing

I'd love to see how he returns all the stones.

and... How the hell he can travel to Asgard?!

Kill Jester, she's shite.

Didn't the Russos so he fucked off after Thanos originally took the stone?

kek

As long as he delivers the space stone after the reality stone that won't be a problem.

This would have been great.

But my theory is that Cap didn't returned the souls stone. He didn't needed to. The only people for that timeline that knows about the soul stone are thanos, which was dusted by Tony, Gamora who is missing (Quill searching for her at the end) and Red skull, who might be free to leave Vormir after Clint took the stone. Since Natasha's death is permanent, the price of a soul for a soul won't be reversed at all.
True, Cap particularly has no reason keep the stone, plus not having Thanos in the past timeline doesn't actually mean someone else might look for the stones eventually... then again, bringing the soul stone back to the present ensures no one uses any wish in the past timeline plus the probability to bring back Black Widow via Adam warlock or another deus ex machina that the writers haven't thought yet.

>hands the soul stone over to red skull
>injects the aether back into jane
>gives the mind stone to hydra
Hail Hydra indeed, Captain Traitor

Cap returns the stone and basically gets a full refund,
Fully functional natascha, but she's stuck in the past
>Perfect cold war spy scenario

>The only people for that timeline that knows about the soul stone

Dunno, Gamora got the location from somebody.

> Gamora got the location from somebody.
That she could have killed. I mean, its just my own theory. They can do whatever they want, it just that to me seemed plausible.

Maybe past Gamora escaped and now she is going to get paired up with present Nova...

Yet.
Captain America 4: Space and Time Shenanigans
All the cameos and callbacks you liked from Endgame and anything they might have missed in a fun low stakes action comedy. Cap surprising Loki with Mjolnir. Cap and Red Skull chilling. Cap and Wolverine in a PTSD circle. Cap secretly stopping multiple planes that we don't know about from crashing on 9/11.

>My name is Foofy no no

Hugo Weaving is kinda a dick for not coming back. I hope he gets kicked in the nuts.

Apparently Red Skull is freed from his curse after the Soul Stone is taken, according to the Russos, so he might not even be there when Cap gets there.

So if Steve has to return it to the exact point where it was taken does he see his ride or die friend, Natasha, flattened at the bottom of the mystical cliff?

fuck Cap and fuck Cap for abandoning Bucky pic related

Bucky couldn't have gone with him. Metal arm just would have been too much to explain. Plus, the ridiculous amounts of PTSD.

But Steve would be returning to right when it left, so he’d still probably be there.

see

It's too bad they seem to be done doing One Shot shorts. Would be interesting to see one where Cap returns all the stones and then end it with him deciding to stay with Peggy.

This. One of the most comic booky things of the movies.

I liked it

"Finally, after decades as a prisoner of the Soul Stone, I'm free! Free! Free to get off this desolate hellhole of a planet!"
"Oh, hey Schmidt. I've brought the Soul Stone back for you. Where would you like me to put it?"
"What!? That other guy only took it a second ago...."
"Well, that's time travel for you. Apparently it should be as though the stone never left."
"But iIf the stone never left.... that means my curse isn't broken and I'm still stuck here...."
"What a shame."
"You total bastard. I hate you Rogers"
"Aren't you meant to say 'I hate you Steven, son of Joseph?"
"Fuck you."

He’s a dick for not going back to a role he has no love for and would just phone in? At least he was honest.

Cap would prepare to fight Red Skull but Red Skull cannot fight as he is just a guide. He puts the stone back and Black Widow returns. They cry together but she decides to pull a Hulk and slip away into space for alone time.

We'll find out about her adventures in the up coming film.

Russos Brothers confirmed that, after Thanos took the Soul Gem, he was freed from his curse, left Vormir and started to persue his own plans for the Infinity Gems.

This means, when Cap returned the Soul Gem, Red Skull wasn't there any more. Which I'm more interested is the fact that, if the "a soul for a soul" bargain is "inverted", when Cap returned the Soul Gem, this could bring Natasha back.

>tfw you realize Marvel now has had two movies where a Nazi was portrayed as a sympathetic spirit guardian

Present Nova AND Adam Warlock.

>keeping the just a kid from brooklyn thing

It is a pretty neat callback.

change kid to boy

But Cap used the term kid.

Do ppl who return the stone get the toll back?
