How did he react when he saw Cap bringing back the Soul Stone?
Infinity War/Endgame Spoilers
He wouldnt have had any personal reaction at are. He knows Thanos, Gamora, Nat and Clint all by their full names when they arrive indicating he has some level of omnipotence. He isnt the Red Skull, just a husk
Yeah, does he have any of the actual traits of Red Skull within him? He doesn't really seem capable of emotions during his two scenes.
>"Steven Rogers. Son of Sarah. Just a kid from Brooklyn."
>"Schmidt. They told me you were here."
>"You haven't aged a day."
>"Neither have you."
>"Not the blessing one would believe, is it?"
>"No."
>Cap delivers the stone.
>Red Skull gazes upon it, the source of his torment.
>"I once craved eternity. Now I pray for oblivion."
>"I used to too."
>"Not anymore? What changed."
>Cap smiles.
>"I have a date."
Would he even show up if you just go to put the stone back? For all we know he only appears to those who seek the stones.
Aight thats pretty good
He wouldn't even be there anymore.
His burden was to guard the Sold Stone. Once it was taken, he's now a free man and could leave the planet whenever he wants
Doesn't the movie imply that putting the stones back prevents the timeline from branching off? So the Red Skull definitely has to stay/return, in order to guide Thanos to the stone further down the line.
this is pretty well made
Chucked Steve off the cliff and took his place. His greatest rival being the closest thing he could care about.
Wouldn't work. It had to be something he loved, which is why he is on Vormyr: to realize he could never have taken all the Stones.
God, I want this to be real
I don't know how and why Red Skull became the stone's guardian
It's his punishment for using the Space Stone.
>TFW Cap doesn't find the Skull on Vormyr but Thanos, who is now doomed to stay there forever because he destroyed the Stones
>It's his punishment for using the Space Stone.
Fury an the rest of SHIELD were also playing with the Tesseract and trying to weaponise it, but they got no punishment
I got chills
What Thanos? The one who time travelled and died? That timeline doesn't have a Thanos anymore.
Red Skull was the only one arrogant enough to hold it for a prolongued period of time.
Plus the stones appear to have a level of sentiency and could sense the evil within him and punish it accordingly.
How do you even put it back into the magical dream lake?
>they got no punishment
SHIELD is gone, Nick Fury nearly died and has been in hiding ever since.
Well how did Bors do it?
I don't buy the second, but I think the first was even mentioned in the first avenger. And other than Thanos and Loki, no one touched the space stone with their bare hands
I'm not sure if im remembering it right, but wasn't it something he wished to have ultimate power or I guess reach something like it, so the space stone kinda interpreted it as him wanting to be the guardian for the soul stone and then sent him on his way?
Not really, the Power and the Reality Stone were super-weapons for ages.
Skrull terrorists snuck in amidst the refugees from CM. The Cap at the end wasn't Cap, and he didn't actually return the stones. The Skrull did fuck Peggy, though.
Someone he cared about is the specific wording.I think by the time of his demise skully cared about Cap very much.
he tried to use it to give him the power he wanted
the space stone said fuck you and trapped him for his hubris
he wanted to go to ultimate space power and he got what he wanted in a twisted way
just like how the power stone usually blows you up
or the reality stone mostly makes illusions
or the mind stone mind controls you
or the time stone isn't really you time traveling but you moving time
or the soul stone requires a death
it's not 100% straight irony wishes or 'the stones actually do the opposite!" but the dramatic element is there
Not it wasn't. The wording was "you must sacrifice that which you love"
