Rogues Gallery Challenge

Come up with a new villain for Thor or revamp an old one to be different enough from his most major villains. Go.

i like these threads so here's a bumparooo

Blackman. He' s a man but he' s black. Blackman.

But Aaron already revamps old Thor villains and makes them nothing like what they used to be.

>Dungeon Master
It’s your typical story about a loser who was bullied as a kid and never adjusted well into adulthood so he wasa loser who was still picked on. He eventually develops a mutie power, or gains some kind of magical time that allows him to create pocket realities to trap people in, usually modeled after his dnd campaigns.

create the void gods
new gods formed from an alien planet's pantheon fabled to bring about the end times. made a deal by thag planet's mythological hero to take the apocalypse to a different world which happens ro be earth

thor will face (X number) apocalypse gods who thor cannot beat into submission buy like the champion from their original world will leave Earth alone if he can complete several trials

i dont know get him to do some atupid ahit. play up his mythology angle

We need Greg Pak. He created a solid mostly unique original rogues gallery for Red Hulk.

I've been saying for years we need to take a break from Loki, Malekith, Mangog, Kruse, Hela, Frost Giants, Surtur & Surtur-lites.

bump...

Remember how Darkseid was implied to have killed all the Norse Gods, who were the Old Gods and shit?
Just give Thor some equivalent to that. A new god of some newly forming pantheon coming to kick everyone's shit in.

>A new god of some newly forming pantheon coming to kick everyone's shit in.
Did that already with Dark Gods in Jurggen's run and the tron outfit wearing red skinned dudes in Fraction's run.

I would like to see Perrikus from the Dark Gods return.
He was suppose to be the villain in Ragnarok until he was replaced with Hela.
His armor done with CGI like the Destroyer would have been magnificent on screen.
Ian Mcshane voicing/mo-caping him would have been my choice.

The World Eaters, they came into existence in the dimension that Asgard used to inhabit before Thor brought it to earth.

That arc was underrated.

Son wu kong would make a good villian

Bring back Seth & the Egyptian gods.
Haven't been used seriously since the early 90s and haven't appeared since a annual in JMS's run.

Do that but also have them bring the Mummy Thor from Earth Triple6 into the 616.

>Cernunnos: Lord of Life Uncaring, god of nature red in tooth and claw. Has come to trample the artifices of man under his hooves and overthrow the petty gods of aspects
>The God-Eaters: cult of debased sorcerers and occultists, they seek out magical talismans and entities to bind and consume so that they might take a portion of power within themselves and bootstrap themselves into divinity
>Falsehood: living personification of the concept of a god as viewed through mass consciousness. Whether or not it is a villain or an ally depends on which god and which concept of said god currently has enough cultural zeitgeist to sustain him.

I also brainstormed a couple for FemThor a couple years ago, but most of them are indirect analogues to existing villains.

The best rogues demand that the hero either can't defeat them normally, or demand character growth to beat. For example, Braniac can be physically destroyed, but it's just a shell and the plan goes on, so Supes has to work around that.

Some kind of seer would be cool, someone who can predict the future with relative accuracy. They would need some level of durability as well, maybe they can vaporize themself to avoid hammer and lightning. This person would set up scenarios to manipulate Thor into enacting their plans for them, they could target anyone but Thor is very easily manipulated and also extremely powerful so he's a natural target. Thor would need to fight against his own nature in order to violate the future that the seer saw and beat them. In this way, the rogue demands character growth and compelling stories to be present.

>The Wrecking Crew
(thay started in Thor so it counts)

Give them their own miniseries, and give piledriver (the one without a gimmick) a sympathetic backstory.

The miniseries should be about them trying to regain status after so many defeats by using various methods. but of course everything always goes to shit

>maybe they can vaporize themself to avoid hammer and lightning
Like Janemba or Hirudagarn in DBZ.

I dont really know them, but the ability is like a lot of things. Vampires can do it in most media, too. I just wanted to give him a way to survive getting one shot in a rage that wasnt going to lead to the big standard slugfest that high durability would give.

I feel like Thor rogues fucking sucks.
I never liked Thor for some reason and his rogues never appeal to me (Even Loki and I know he's trying to do some good now).
90% of his rogues are always gods or celestials or whatever.
Gorr was a bit interesting (Extreme atheist willing to kill every god) although extremely edgy and his end was really dumb.
I feel like Thor is in the middle-ground between magic and science but he really can't really do both individually.
Thor and his Rogues gallery are basically O negatives.

Sure but are there any interesting Thor Rogues? Preferably non-magic ones? I want to be proven wrong here.

Thor is magic. You wouldn't ask why Doctor Strange never punches anyone, or say you're bored of him using spells. It would be stupid to say that what makes Superman boring is that all of his stories are in a modern setting. This is just who these heroes are.

Dance off bro
Thor and Kali

Dr Strange punches people all the time
