Well Yea Forums, was it better than Endgame
Well Yea Forums, was it better than Endgame
No.
Yes, but there's no shame in that. It's better than a lot of superhero movies.
Yes, but Endgame is Minions level of entertainment so
No, It wasn't. Spider-Man 1, on the other hand, was way better than End Game.
yes
Yes, but only because the girls are cuter.
No. They're too different to even compare.
One is a large-scale epic finale, and the other is a character development piece and origin story.
It's like asking if a chocolate donut is better than flaming hot cheetos, to make a lame food analogy.
No. I liked Spider-Verse but holy shit it's so overrated
I just watched this for the first time last night.
Best cape I've seen in awhile. It was real fun
>Is the best superhero movie ever made still the best superhero movie?
Yes. On a purely film to film basis Spider-verse runs circles around Endgame. It even did time travel better than Endgame
The only metric Endgame could beat Spider-verse at is context. Endgame is a feat of 10 years worth of build up which told a satisfactory (if somewhat muddled) ending to a 22 film series. ITSV on the other hand is the first outing of the property. How it's quality will hold up the more movies it goes on for remains to be seen but it is rare to see a franchise open with such a fantastic first pass.
Yes. Easily.
This. Endgame was enjoyable but Spiderverse was art.
Yes.
I think that both of them are very bad.
Only on Yea Forums is it better.
I liked both, but the only good part of Spiderverse is Miles and Pete. The rest is fluff.
I wouldn't say better, I'd say different. They're doing different things and being very capable and successful at it in my opinion.
I've seen people say that, before. But I don't recall any time travel in Spider-Verse.
Gwen does when she enters 1610. Peter, Noir, Peni and Ham all have hard stops against a wall or billboard when they enter Miles' universe. Gwen arrests her fall a bit by grabbing a light post during the end of her warp, This sends her back 1 week Miles' time.
This. Spiderverse might have a fun hero cast, but its villains were paper-thin and arguably the weakest part of the whole movie. Giving Kingpin a sympathetic reason didn't make him a likable villain, much less a good final showdown boss. Female Doc Ock wasn't great, Prowler wasn't set up with enough screentime to be more familiar to the audience, and the others were just disposable fodders. I can't say the Black Order is any better, but Thanos did feel like a real threat, and even the scenes where he finds out about the Avengers' plan to undo a victory his future self accomplished gave a lot of goosebumps. In this sense, Spiderverse could have really used better villains who present a higher sense of stakes at hand.
Yes and no
I’d like the donut, please
Also, the sidecharacters in Endgame shit all over the other Spiders, who are mostly one-note gags besides Gwen
Much better. Shazam! and Aquaman as well if you're talking recent capeshit.

I liked Endgame better because care about the characters a lot more, could actually cry watching it. Into the Spider-Verse was just kind of the typical hero story despite how biased I am towards it because of how pretty it was.
Endgame is only good for the action, a lot of the story elements are retarded. Worth it though for Cap using Mjolnir
tumblr Gwen getting BLACKED after her canon boyfriend gets kill ruined the movie for me
Are you really so insecure that the mere implication of a white cartoon character getting together with a black cartoon character would ruin a great movie?
Kingpin is a Metaphorical and Physical obstacle to Miles completing his promise to 1610 Parker of stopping the collider and becoming Spider-man. The stakes against Kingpin are personalized after he kills Miles' uncle. Everything from his design to his end goals opposes Morales' journey. He's not supposed to be 'likeable' or 'reasonable', his backstory gives you understanding to why he's doing what he's doing. Thanos and his horde is about on the level of the Independence day aliens. Waxing poetic doesn't make him somehow more.
Olivia, Prowler, Scorpion, Tombstone, and Goblin were also leagues above the Black Order and the mass of grey multi-armed aliens the avengers tear through like paper.
Yes , I've been saying this.
Of course. Endgame wasn't even as good as Infinity War.
