It's a story about the two weirdest Avengers finding love together. It simply isn't as interesting or compelling if you replace him with a human, as the comics have proved repeatedly.

Lizzie's screen time has been pretty small in all of her appearances desu, but that really speaks to the strength of her acting/characterization of Wanda.

With that two minutes in Endgame she stood out almost as much as the rest of the cast who were on screen the whole film and that says alot.

This, She has her own lore and history, and the mutant stuff leads to her stories getting sidelined so she can be used as plot device for the X-Men. She's never been treated as a proper character by X-Men writers.

Her mystical lore not only offers great stories for her, it also has the potential to pit Doctor Strange against the Vishanti and his fellow sorcerers,including maybe even Doctor Doom, leading to Kamar Taj even splitting into two factions, one led by Strange the other by Mordo.

They get everything, we get next to nothing, and they still want to take even that from us. The way they inevitably always seem to get what they want means there is a real risk of MCU Wanda getting connected to Magneto eventually, but there's a greater chance this show is just a vehicle to introduce Wiccan or Viv Vision, for a Young Avengers movie, while Wanda and Vision never appear in another movie.
