IW was well edited, paced, and held a respect for the movie's tone and plot. Endgame is the opposite of that. Slopping in fan service scenes bloating the runtime, and making actions scenes that flowed IW so well seem like drive by affairs so we can have a ratio of five worthless to one good scene on the next shot reverse shot talk scene.

Time travel has and always will be a really bad idea for story writing. It's known as being the "oh shit button" for when a writers writes themselves into a hole.
The movie has easily debated plot holes and when you fill in the blanks with off screen events to make it work. Even more questions are raised.
Hulk never went Hulk. It's what people wanted, it should have been his redemption arc from getting stomped by Thanos. Professor Hulk had people guessing that maybe this would make Hulk a more calculated fighter much like how Thanos beat him in Infinity War. That wasnt the case. He mentions that he merges Hulk and banner by using gamma rays in a lab early on in the film. Forshadowing "more gamma = more hulk". So it comes time to snap every one back "let me use the gauntlet it gives off mostly gamma, its like I was made for it" so you think Hulk would just absorb most of the Gamma and go world breaker just in time for Thanos attack on the base. Nope. Thats doesnt happen. Instead we get a pussified Hulk with a nonexistent healing factor.
Thor was depowered as well. In infinity war he took on Thanos with the stones and nearly killed him. In Endgame he struggles to contend against Thanos without stones. They could have deaged Thor back to his prime via the Van. I thought that was the whole point of antman becoming old and young as a precursor to restore Thor. Nope it wasnt.

Minor gripe but I dont think the structure of the middle of the film was as tight as Infinity War. Characters dissapear for long periods of time and when we get back to them, it's like "oh yeah they were doing that". I dont know if it's possible to alleviate this issue due to the nature of the movie.
For example, when Hawkeye and Black Widow leave for Vormir, it's a good chunk of time before we're brought back to them.

Detective Pikachu is going to get mad cash, Endgame has already earned over 1 billion, but since D Pikachu isnt coming out for another 2 weeks, I think it gives both movies breathing room, same with Godzilla King of the Monsters that comes out the end of May.
