Would Yea Forums watch a Netflix MTG animated series?

How would you do it?

I would love it to be a 3D animated series done in the same style as the MTG WAR FOR THE SPARK commercial.

MAGIC

THE

Make it like Yu-Gi-Oh meets Clerks

>It all starts at a Comic Book shop in a small town in Maine
>An egotistical fellow who calls himself Milton the Invincible (he calls himself that because he's never lost a game, which was mostly out of luck and not skill) is challenged by Paul (a guy who last played the game when his voice was still breaking, plus he did it because some guy asked him to)
>Paul wins, Breaking Milton's "spotless record" Bitter over his first defeat, he challenges Paul again and gets defeated again.
>After this, Milton (who has gotten a good dose of humility) now delusionally sees Paul as the greatest Magic The Gathering player ever and signs Paul up to the New England Magic Tournament in Boston (without Paul's consent)
>So Paul and Milton go on a road trip to Boston, Meeting up with Magic Players who take the game way too seriously, usually they are under the command of a sinister, shadowy force

thanos vs bolas
make it happen wizards

As someone who plays A LOT of magic, knows about the current storyline and the lore, and the current attitude Wizards of the Coast has right now regarding social issues

This would be a fucking disaster. WotC is one of the worst companies in regards to forcing social shit.

>made all elves genderless and are referred to as they/them
>inserted like a dozen major gay and transgender characters in the last few sets alone
>made a planeswalker autistic
>just banned a few male players for baseless sexual assault accusations

WAR was a huge fuckup lorewise, so unless they hired writers away from their usual staff to handle it I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

>being an elephant shill

Fuck no. The last thing I want to see is more Jacetice League.

the first two eps cover the Brothers War and then it jumps to the Urza Saga and follows through to the end of Onslaught

>thinking WotC cares about anything other than Jacetice League
LMAO

I've been to the MTG generals. You're all a bunch of whiny entitled pieces of shit that cry about everything. Barely talk about the game and just spam tranny this and teferinigger that. I'm surprised you didn't complain about boros and the angels being dark skinned.

But Teferi players can suck a left nut. Draw a card AND untap lands so you can play one of your dozens of counters? Fuck!

What about Gideon League?

Fuck yeah. It'd never happen, but that shit animated would be dope.

user asked how I would do it. Wizards amounts to less than scribbles in dirt in this scenario

>not having a deck that punished counters for just such fuckleknuts

How many MTG cards or DnD miniatures does Yea Forums have? So,I want to buy some MTG cards. Which ones should I buy?

I'd want them to do the Brothers War, and the Phyrexia shit.

But if we have to do new stuff, just a series set on Ravnica. You got the guilds, and conspiracies, and all sorts of intrigue. You don't have to focus on the planeswalkers at all. I'd kind of do it like The Clones Wars, bounce perspectives around, but go back to a core cast that follows a seasonal arc. Use the Jacestice League and planeswalkers as cameos, occasional appearances. Bigger than life figures that appear to give a sense of 'oh shit is getting real now'.

I want to make a ramp red/green deck with carnage tyrant and banefire. Have them choke on their counters and removal.

No one has really done an interesting magic series of late. I'd rather Warners do something animated with Book of Magic or with that Zatanna magic school mini series, even if it was just a movie.

I don't understand the inner logic of MtG. What does the battle between planeswalkers actually look if animated?
>I found another island! I'm siphoning magic from them to open a portal that summons a seagull.

Why the fuck aren't they doing a new DnD animated series? Any chances for one by 2020-2021 when the new DnD movie comes out from Paramount and Allspark Pictures?

Wotc went full retard and retconned the whole "players are planeswalkers" thing, so it's just two characters fighting now, except they can teleport to other universes.

If friendship the gathering doesn't count.

Just get a friend and buy some duel decks until you get a grasp on the game.

This is not a cheap hobby.

If you just want to buy packs and build from there, it depends on the format. The Standard format is always the most current card sets. Modern format is a mix of current sets and older sets.

I'd just buy a starter deck, play with friends and then buy packs.

D&D rights are a clusterfuck.

its not finding but creating. like when you play a forest card you are causing a forest to grow from nothing so you can siphon its mana

Based

How? Doesnt hasbro own it?

Why is Yea Forums so comfy with MTG threads?

Gideon or Jace?
