This is probably the best idea I've heard for a Metroid setting in a long time.

Ridley is insanely fucking durable, the only thing that's done any damage to him that wasn't being wielded by Samus was a super cumbersome Federation plasma cannon that took forever to charge. You'd probably need at least a couple of the first string guys to take him down. Thor with Stormbreaker could probably solo him.

She's more of a reverse Superman/Captain Marvel-esque figure with some genetic modification and with a suit that's weirder than Tony's, being the most advanced piece of tech in her universe that's a manifestation of her willpower and is damn near infinitely adaptable. And her weapons and movement systems are fairly unique.

Even Capcom is more idealistic than Marvel. Capcom actually has their heroes overcome problems by out fighting it in a over the top way.

Marvel tries to outfight stuff due to causing problems too stupid to overcome, like each other or cosmic power stuff.

It's canon according to Other M but eh, that game's canonicity can be debated anyway. But it is kinda supported by SM. Personally, I think they should've just went with the old school Iron Man-style power armor.

Reminder this shit has human, chozo, AND metroid DNA in it, seems to have undergone a metroid style metamorphosis, and it has all the capabilities of the gravity suit despite occurring in a much slimmer form because it's mostly just techno-organic undersuit having forcibly mutated the gravity suit's abilities by absorbing SA-X parasites that had copied them.

...I wonder if the suit will keep evolving until it hits Queen Metroid, maybe even mutating an internal body like SA-X did so Samus can't put it on anymore? I wonder if it could evolve an intelligence.

What powers does her suit have?

I think we've seen enough to extrapolate. As a combat fighter, it's kinda mid-poor level(it gets shot down more than once in game intros alone). But at it's intended role of being a stealthy bounty hunting transport, it's kind of amazing. We see her doing stealth operations in and around pirate controlled space all the time, sometimes literally right under the nose of their fleet. We can also assume it's fast as hell since travel time has never been a part of the games, and the fact we see it escaping exploding planets all the time.

The Gaurdians' ships on the other hand are just as hard to compare. The Milano/Benatar seem to be middling ultralight corvettes/heavy gunships, with shittons of aftermarket mods and upgrades to the weapons systems courtesy of Rocket. They probably punch way above their weight class, but the rest of the stats are about average.

So I'd say it's a toss up of speed/agility vs excessive firepower.

Absorbing the final SA-X detached her suit and restored her to her state pre infestation, although there should be lingering effects from the Baby vaccine, like permanent SA-X immunity.

Gives her a shit ton of durability, allows her to survive and move normally in extreme conditions, including in extreme heat, underwater, and UNDERNEATH LAVA, gives her access to super speed where she can just plow through a lot of shit, which also gives her access to the Shinespark, which lets her boost great distances and through a lot of hard material, including solid fucking rock, the Space Jump, which is an infinite jump, and the Screw Attack, which allows her to jump through a bunch of hard materials without Shinesparking.

Samus is a beast, man.

In terms of weapons systems, she's got her standard Power Beam, which fires energy blasts, and other beams, including an Ice Beam, which freezes shit, a Plasma Beam, which lights shit on fire, the Wave Beam, which can go through shit, the Dark Beam, which has a special combo move that fires A SMALL FRIGGIN' BLACK HOLE, among other beams. She's also got a grapple beam she can use offensively as well. Not to mention bombs and Power Bombs, which may as well be tiny nukes. And the suit greatly enhances her strength as well.

Samus' gunship can lay down heavy artillery fire (Prime 3), can traverse intergalactic distances in short periods of time (Prime Hunters), and as outside of line of sight detection and tracking seems darn near impossible see (most Metroid games). Clearly it's a stellar transport. As to the maximum output of the weapons, it's gotta be at least a tier or two above what Samus would normally be outputting from the arm cannon since she puts Chozo tech into it (one popular theory about what happens to her upgrades between games) meaning it has some terrifying beam weapons and missile systems.

Metroid technology, especially Chozo tech, is literally a form of magitech. Samus definitely works better in DC than she does in Marvel. Marvel only seems like it works better because people think Samus is only "female Tony Stark."

Eh, we don't know WHAT the hell Chozo tech really is. All we know is that it's sufficiently advanced and that they were way beyond anything else in the Metroid galaxy.

Magic has been in Metroid for a long-ass time, user. The Chozo were masters of both technology AND magic, and most of them literally become transcendent spirits on another plane of being once they found their time on the material was done. And this extends even to their tech, as the Space Pirates tried to copy the Morph Ball with only their own tech skills, and ended up mangling themselves. Not to mention how these aren't even the most glaring examples either.

You can't separate magic from Metroid without fundamentally changing the setting.

If they EVER did a Metroid movie I want someone with Karl Urbans Dredd level of dedication. None of that girl power sarcasm, eye roll shit. Samus is to bad ass to do anything but the job she took with deadly proficiency.
Youd need an actress that can act solely with her eyes. I cant think of an actress that looks the part and brings that level of intensity without over acting, but shes out there somewhere kicking someones ass as we speak.

Probably above Asgard tech considering how it can incorporate basically anything it comes across into itself. From what we see in the games the Chozo have tech like the Culture. They've figured out how to do matter to energy and back again conversion that is combined with Time Lord style dimensional transcendence (not nearly as advanced though admittedly) that is all mentally controlled.

I don't get why dark samus is an exact clone of samus in smash. I recall it having some pretty unique looking attacks in echoess, didn't play MP3.

Technically, Dark Samus isn't an exact clone. Due to her levitation ability, she doesn't have any acceleration time when she runs and hits max speed immediately. It's insanely minor, but being the only real difference, it means that Dark Samus is objectively superior, albeit by a margin so insignificant almost nobody would let it affect their decision making process.

Personally though, much as I like Ian Flynn, I don't know if he'd be a good fit for Metroid. He seems very dependent on dialogue at times. Maybe monologues could work, but still. And yeah, dude really cannot help it with the OCs. They're often good OCs, but this is still Metroid, so nah.

Nobody ever posts the comic adaptations, they just circlejerk the games they like and have a Yea Forums thread on Yea Forums. Even Zelda and Mario, which have had cartoons, don't talk about those things and threads usually just quickly shift towards things like "how would YOU make a modern Zelda cartoon" "what's your favorite Zelda game" "I want to FUCK Midna", and that's all Yea Forums thread trash too.

With her suits and vast array of abilities, she'd easily be Peter Quill or even Falcon or Black Widow level. Remember, Black Widow was able to take out scores, if not hundreds of Ultrons, each of which were supposedly as powerful as Ultron Prime. So that's nothing to scoff at.

to be fair Prime wasn't very powerful in the first place so much as durable due to being made from special materials. His entire power level stems from the fact that the's a potentially infinitely self-replicating menace.
