I feel like Catra's big problem is almost that she fears Hordak too much. The guy basically relies on fear. He's totally powerless against Entrapta - not just because she's actually competent, but because she's not afraid of him. Without the mental illusion that he's some sort of ultimate godhead, he's basically just a tired old man with some fancy toys.

Catra's in that fun little villain place where she gets stronger the more sinister and conniving she is. As she settles into the role of a wheedling 2nd-in-command, she doesn't just lose Hordak's respect, she also loses actual power.

It was way too short, felt like it ended. Maybe 4 episodes too early. They're definitely setting up for a big reveal that Mara didn't turn bad and she actually stopped Light Hope from doing something bad, it's obvious with how much they're harping on how bad Mara is.

I do wish that Entrapta had expressed some of those depressing thoughts we saw her have in season 1 towards being left behind, she seems like she forgot. She wasnt even surprised that they were coming for her, before Catra convinced her that they left her.

if you look at the rebellion they're all about magic but the Horde is about technology

And Santa Clarita is one of my favorite shows EVER, it's spectacular. Everyone should at least try out the first season IMO. Finally finished the show, a little better than last season even though I feel like they barely improved on many of the shows core weaknesses. Maybe it was, ow can you know for certain? If Hordak takes her up immediately, that shatters the illusion of control she has to cover up any mistakes. In other words, it makes her smarter than him. In other words, Hordak likes for his second-in-command to be stupid and have the real work done by himself or Entrapta, because it means no one has the upper hand. Hordak is probably one of the most well-written villains I've seen in awhile for a kids show.
