It wasn't random, it was softer in Civil War because she'd been living with the Avengers for a year, not speaking her own language. It changed again for Infinity War because she'd been a fugitive for two years, and had to hide it. Her few lines in Endgame sounded a little more like in Civil War, because she didn't have to hide anymore.

This. All Carol seems to do is insult people, even allies, and act like she's better than everyone else. It made it very hard to like her compared to characters like Nebula, who we got to see bond with Tony and become more likable.

Fuck Joss Whedon for killing off Quicksilver just to try and force his fetish for quirky superpowered skinny girls. They work best as a duo, and her being trash in everything but Civil War is my proof.

I actually didn't like her that much in Ultron and she was so dull in that Godzilla movie along with that Quicksilver actor. But she began to grow on me in Civil War. She got one of the best action bits with Thanos imo, and it was earned.

It sucks that she's not getting her own movie and all the focus for female hero has moved to Captain Marvel, but I'm interested in the Wanda Vision show so that's something I guess. I just hope that Disney + budget allows her to show off her powers in cool ways, can they top what she did in Endgame?

I think a lot of that is Brie. I know female marvel fans that don't really like her personality either, and plenty of people that want girl power but find Larson meh. It's just her personality, politics or whatever aside, she hasn't made a great impression so far from my perspective.

Who were the best female characters in Endgame or who got the coolest moments? For me seeing Pepper show up as Rescue after all these years was great and her telling Tony he can rest now, happy they brought her back into the story more, since her and Downey were the ones that started it.

Scarlet Witch was mvp too and Widow was cool but I didn't like how they killed her off so soon. Didn't feel right her not making that final battle.

Honestly, to me it felt like trying to belittle the guy who could kill everyone the easiest, by talking down to him so he doesn't realize how strong he is.

"I am Iron Man" was more than a cool tagline. It was a pronouncement that Tony Stark was dead: he died in the cave. The one who walked out of the cave - a not-too-subtle rebirth metaphor - was Iron Man.

I still hope we get a final movie about her - one which is about her taking on Red Room and saving the girls who are currently being warped into Widows. The eldest of the girls, Yelena Belova, fights her until the finale, until she realizes she has been lied to her entire life; in the post-credits, which is set after 'Endgame', she takes up the mantle of the Widow in Natasha's name, to defend all whose innocence is being taken advantage of by people who have more power than heart.

This way, Natasha in a sense becomes a 'mother' after all.

Biggest problem i had was that outside of Nebula, none of the women had any downtime moments. Seeing her play paper football with Tony on the ship and enjoying it, letting him have the last of the rations, working together to keep the ship’s batteries from leaking any more. They gave her a lot more than I’d expected, but then didn’t give anything like this to the other women.

ScarJo is actually very charming and charismatic in real life and it was something that writers and directors had a hard time conveying on the screen, leading to a harsh misuse of her talent, which was finally rectified in this film. Brie Larson lacks all of these things and no amount of Hollywood magic can circumvent this.

It's in India, audience participation is huge there since their biggest movies are bollywood musicals where it's normal for the crowd to get up and dance and sing along during the musical numbers like it's a party.

Women have a tendency to try and hide their less desirable traits or straight up pretend they don't exist because they're constantly fighting a social war to make others think they're very desirable. The tendency of modern female characters to be cardboard cutouts who slot seamlessly into a generic "stronk empowered woman" archetype is merely an extension of that behaviour. Ultimately, a lot of women don't want the truth, they want the pleasant lie that's nice to look at.
