They got like 6 more seasons to go, chill with the retrospectives faggot.

rough but still loving

Boring and uninspired.

Pretty clearly avatar inspired and it hit the right notes with the characters, but the animation and lack of a specific inspiration for the action does hit it hard.
Given it's only at the northern water tribe stage comparatively, the world building is decent enough for the moment.

Five and vidya, IIRC.
Though that’s just an outline at the moment

As a kid I would have been happy with this show. That's all that needs to be said, really.

vidya?

Apparently they want one based in the setting but not using the main characters.
A prequel would probably be a safe assumption.

They want to make some kind of RPG where you get to pick from multiple classes based on the lore of the show.
As far as I know, nothing is actually in development yet.

will it be the WoW killer?

I like it. It's not as good as Avatar. And that's okay.

I watched one episode and it was trash

Blizzard is doing that just fine by itself

how long until Rayla rapes Callum

>''Wh-what the hell, I thought you were a girl!''

Callum's not that effeminate

What if the vidya is a dating sim where you romance Aaravos

It's already been confirmed as being combat-centric

You romance Aaravos by being good at combat and impressing him
They mix and match genres like that

So long as Bioware of Obsidian are nowhere near it, I'll probably give it a shot

What if it's a pixel art game with chiptune music and the plot breaks the fouth wall?

Why are you like this

Worse, what if the game is an epic store exclusive?

Just give it to team cherry and let the upside down shitposter magic do it’s work.

I wouldn't buy it, for I am a mostly straight male. Now, if you were wooing the various women of Dragon Prince, I'd be keen, especially if they don't puss out on the loli. Gotta get that "Queen" Aanya feminine penis.

Are you some kind of fag who doesn't want to romance Aaravos?

Attached: 1398469088611.png (441x705, 531K)

Are we just going to keep having these threads until the next season comes out? Waifuposting can't sustain these forever.

Usually it takes one not hitting the bump limit before people stop making them.
Or if they’re just so cancerous that it requires mod intervention.

They'll probably announce something during S6 or 7.
No point writing an RPG when you might change your mind on the story it's based on halfway through.

If you want I can tell you many elements of the show that are derived by Jewish mythology.

Attached: tenor.gif (360x360, 2.37M)

>opinion
did you post the wrong image or are you just retarded

Might as well. We're kind of desperate for discussion topics.

Finally someone that gives a shit about my speech, thank you.

The show it has a lot of elements I did not get all of them, but some. Stil there is a lot of room for a lot WOT that I will not do, I'll be as schematic as possible.

Sarai - The mother of two princes, same name of the mother of Isaac and almost-step/somethig-like mother of Ismael. It literally means contentious in Jewish, then later she changed it in Sarah, that means noble.

Ezran - Ezra is the name who leads the Jews in Palestine at the end of Babylonian captivity. (Look under for further explanation about this point)

Callum - literally this name means callus (callum is the neutral form, callus the male form, calla the female form) is a latin noun. Not a jewish stereotype but more like a typical stereotype of western fantasy where the protagonist is a worker or the son of a worker, usually a smith, with callous hands. In this case he's a spoilet brat without calluses, but he will get them during his growth.

cooking, I'll come back.

It’s unironically pretty biblical

I'm back.
Some stuff I did not get were the figure of the king (it is not readable by me) and the family of the mage.
The only thing I get is that they are tre names derived by Latin and used in central-north Europe.

Soren - Scandinavian version of Severus, it means strict, harsh
Viren - German version of Virus
Claudia - From the latin Gens of Claudii, literally means crippled, but it is a common and prestigious name during history

They are not biblical figures, actually Viren seems more like a Faustian one, but he says something very interesting about modern times.
He says that he want to take back the land that millenial before where them and now they are taken by other people that have a moon as symbols and send suicidal assassins to kill the king.
Here comes the name Ezra. Probably will be him to resolve the situation and leading the "humans" back to Xadia, in a way or in another.
And here comes back Callum, he's illegitimate for the crown and probably will copulate with a moon-girl and make a lot of babies and start a new group of people. Ismael.

Good stuff, user.
What do you think to the possible Garden of Eden/The Fall allegories, regarding the discovery of dark magic, exile from Xadia and the possible initiation by Aaravos?

Attached: 15319652376963.jpg (480x360, 13K)

I think it may be, but Aaravos is more like a demon-like figures, something like Moloch or Kamosh.

Hello, I'm a cute girl and I like this show!

Attached: 1556400140318.jpg (1258x1058, 694K)

So what type of elves will Callum and Rayla meet near the border?
discord.gg/mJK5VEq

Attached: tdp halfbreed.jpg (518x419, 48K)

What type of dragon is the big guy they meet at the end?

sun if I'm not mistaking

Makes sense. The Xadian border is Sun elf territory from what we've seen.
Callum and Rayla will probably first meet the one that fought Amaya.

Attached: D4NgVEbUwAAxLyX.png (541x697, 285K)

>traps
>shitposting
I see Rayla is confused as usual.

How will human Rayla do in HFY space?

Woke shit right here desu

Viren did nothing wrong

He went too autistic at many stuff, He could have seized enough power in other ways to make his plans works, yeah I know alot of people holding say power are retarded here but you arent helping when you go too autistically about it

Attached: D4NgVEdUUAAkz_1.png (661x606, 335K)

Aw.

I'm bummed that as far as hints so far go, it doesn't seem that we'll get to see much of the other human kingdoms. Maybe Ezran will go on a royal tour on his way to unite houses with the loli queen.

The seasons are so short and slow-paced, I fear we won't get to see much of Xadia, either.

Ok I wont lie, I came because
>muh Ehasz
Stayed for the Scottish elf, kind of wish there was more of that stuff, last time it was the Scottman from Samurai Jack and then Gargoyles

Despite Scotland and Ireland contributing massive amounts to faerie/elf legends, it’s surprisingly rare to see any with those accents.
I suppose Tolkien and Shakespeare have more cultural weight to throw around.

This, I hope Ehasz keeps getting work in the future. I'd like to see him at the helm of something very well animated someday

really sad, wish we see more of that stuff now, thats the rep I want

Vermintide's probably your best bet for the moment.
Though given some of the players, it might convince you that Garithos did literally nothing wrong.

Attached: 1449228992904.png (730x570, 517K)

this show looks really cheap and full of feminists crap about "women rule, men drool" like pretty much everything these days

>and full of feminists crap about "women rule, men drool"
Where do you see that in this show?

It's fine, waiting for more seasons

The fuck show have you been watching? Elfu starts out as as a batshit crazy child-killer aiming for Ezran, and Claudia is just shown is a less and less flattering light.

I think the only time women have been right in this show has been the prince's dead mother being against them fucking with the elemental, and the loli seeing past Viren's bullshit though she's a child and I think several people should have seen past his fancy PowerPoint presentation.

Attached: One Hell of a Drug.jpg (500x371, 35K)

Do we know how common dark magic is in the setting?
Is Viren the most powerful dark mage, or is he just the most prominent? I'm assuming the former, since he's the one who comes up with the ideas and whacked Thunder.

you have to be a bit less obvious if you want to subvert us, /pol/ kun.

I'd like to know the jewish inspirtaion for the show if that guy is still around. I'm bored and it sounded pretty interesting.

did the lesbian queens use dark magic to conceive her?

one of the 2 fucked one of her personal guard knight

nah, there's a much simpler explanation
one of the Queens had a dick, and their daughter does too

Aaravos is best girl

I dont trust a show which is carried by one character.

I'm interested in watching this but don't really want to make a Netflix account, is there any other way to watch this series?

literally use google to watch anything you ever want mate, is not that hard

But fucking with the elemental was the only way to stop two countries falling into a famine, even with the death toll from the ensuing feud with the dragons it was still worth it

Ok faggots, list your top character:
1- Claudia
2- Rayla
3- Bait

>Yea Forums meme's
not surprised

Viren
Soren
Claudia/Rayla

>But fucking with the elemental was the only way to stop two countries falling into a famine,
Wrong. The famine was a governmental failure on multiple levels. First, famine is inherently a policy failure; the queens fucked up. There aren't enough details to know how they fucked up, but they apparently waited until 100,000 people were screwed before they finally asked for outside help. Also, website lore says Duren was the most fertile kingdom, a net exporter of food, which means they should damn well know that if they're fucked, the other nations aren't in much better shape, and implies that they squandered their biggest economic asset.

Second, it would be limited to their nation if Harrow wasn't a fucking moron apparently determined to get shanked by his peasants - people aren't too keen on watching their loved ones die because another kingdom fucked up while they were making enough for themselves. Deliberately causing 50,000 his people to die makes him no better than the British to the Irish or the Soviets to Ukraine.

My wife's daughter?

they both got gangbanged by their male concubines every night

It's okay. The characters are okay, the story is okay, the animation is very off putting and you never really get used to it.

I should throw shag to this dork. It might boost hiss confidence and, plus, I've never deflowered a boy before.

Caludia seems like she laughs when she orgasms.

Attached: tumblr_pf4e4tUKhW1w5widb_1280.jpg (1280x1280, 245K)

Rayla conversely seems like she refuses to admit when you've made her cum, even though she's really bad at hiding it

Attached: mad elf.png (1919x839, 1.35M)

Just pretend it will help him learn the moon arcanum

He has a thing for sandwiches. The weirdo.
Rayla should get between two pieces of bread.

Waste of trips

Dark magic is really easy, so I figure it must be pretty common. If there’s a dark mage willing to teach people somewhere in the world, then there’s probably hundreds of amateur dark mages out there.

In terms of who i think is the best character? Probably Viren. My favorite is Rayla though

In terms of who i think is the best character? Probably Viren. My favorite is Rayla though

>“I must die with honor and leave behind a child king who will probably be murdered for the throne, sending the kingdom into unrest”
Harrow was kind of dumb, man.

At least by then he had "my wife is dead, I fucked up, and I'm depressed, goodbye cruel world" as a motivation

The fact that Callum learns primal magic in like two weeks of just wanting it very hard really undercuts their wishy washy portrayal that humans needed dark magic to even the playing field. It makes it seem like he is the first human to ever actually try

I'm not ready to watch it yet. Third seasons make or break a show, so I'm holding out til the reviews are in.

I want Aaravos to fuck the soul out of Viren though.

I thought his interaction with dark magic kinda kickstarted the connection to primal magic

Im not totally sure if that's the case, but if that's true I still think it's still weird he's the only human who has tried to pivot to primal magic after using it

I mean, if you think about it anyone who has tried dark magic probably just continued to use dark magic, no point in trying to achieve primal magic when you got dark magic down, Callum was trying to achieve primal magic so he refused dark magic, which allowed him to find a connection to primal

they where in a poligamus relationship and shared a husband, we never see him as their society is matriarchic

Attached: ot2.png (857x477, 387K)

Attached: D4fQdkIUIAED2el.png (250x285, 110K)

I actually didn't like at all that arc, very boring and occupied half of the season 2.

Dark magic seems to be surprisingly uncommon, despite how easy it's meant to be.
They always have characters and crowds react to dark spells with disgust or fear, Viren is the only mage in both Katolis and Duren capable of casting the spell to heal the land (the research was done, they had the ingredients, once you have that it's supposed to be easy-peasy), you don't see a single mage stationed at the frontier even though they are fighting against magical creatures. Even a thousand years ago, dark mages were so few in number they couldn't prevent their race from being exiled.
It kinda diminishes the environmentalist message they are obviously going for.

>despite how easy it's meant to be.
It did sorta almost kill Callum

And then he ranted about how it was "too easy". This isn't a very well written show.

Yeah, we keep being TOLD that dark magic is easy... while we are being showed that
>you must study a lot (those doorstopper books Viren/Claudia are always lugging around)
>use consumables such as reagents and/or your own lifeforce
>there's a risk of critical failures
While the primal magic is something you're born with and can just spam for no costs, with no training or learning required.

Attached: 1550299985934.png (1080x1080, 1.82M)

>no point in trying to achieve primal magic when you got dark magic down
Looks like someone forgot how he got the primal stone in the first place.

>This isn't a very well written show.

It really is not. It's amazing how enjoyable it manages to be in spite of that. The writing is borderline retarded.

>I think the only time women have been right in this show has been the prince's dead mother being against them fucking with the elemental,

She was completely wrong, in that case. If they didn't kill that rock monster there would have been a very justified peasant revolt and her whole family would have died.

>the loli seeing past Viren's bullshit though she's a child

She was right about Viren manipulating her, but Viren is right about the threat and she should probably listen to him anyway.

The Queen was right for the wrong reasons. Messing with Xadia was a mistake because they risked Thunder's wrath and retaliation if they were discovered.
Just hand the lesbian queens the formula for the spell, give them a map to the titan's location, and let them handle the rest. And don't give away your fucking food. There's a difference between being a helpful ally and being their bitch.

Rayla seems like she has a hard time getting off. Probably a girl that can't cum from intercourse. Either you have to give her lots of head and fingerblast her.

Claudia seems like she gets off easily. Probably would bang you once or twice a day. Once before bed and sometimes in the morning if it feels right.

>Rayla lies there and asks if you're finished yet.

>Claudia wakes you with a blowjob and rides you till you pop twice inside her.

If this show was 2D and had better pacing it would be considered the next ATLA

>Messing with Xadia was a mistake because they risked Thunder's wrath and retaliation if they were discovered.

The consequences of that were still less than a famine.

>Just hand the lesbian queens the formula for the spell, give them a map to the titan's location, and let them handle the rest.

This would still result in a retaliatory invasion.

>And don't give away your fucking food. There's a difference between being a helpful ally and being their bitch.

Oh yeah, no argument here, Harrow is criminally insane. Condemning your own people to famine like that by giving away their food is a pretty clear crime against humanity. He more than deserved to die.

No way, the writing is vastly inferior. Which begs the question; Who the fuck wrote ATLA? Because everyone who supposedly wrote ATLA went on to completely suck ass at writing in everything they've done since.

If Harrow has been angling for something in return it could have been justifiable. Make it seem like a noble sacrifice on the surface and then some major concessions in return.

its called "catching lightning in a bottle"
its doing a great thing and never being able to recreate it. its a nightmare for artists.

>inb4 Callum is the MurrLogic of his world

voltron seasons or normal seasons?

I think that story was bullshit or incomplete on Viren's part to try and manipulate the other kings and queens.
Perhaps Harrow and Viren had purposely sabotaged that other kingdoms food knowing they would ask his kingdom for help and in return have a favour that can be called upon by Harrow

I donno the difference but they're going for a bomb format because Netflix.

voltron had some 7 episode seasons.

normal seasons are between 12 ans 26 episodes.

I'd like if something like that happened.
It would make Harrow's emotional state a lot more impactful if it turned out he had a closet so full of skeletons that Viren could use it as a battery.

Oh, the staff said that they're gonna keep the nine episode format since that is about the length of a LotR movie.
I donno why but the nine episode seasons are gonna stay.

It would make sense on why he views the crown as a burden and gives a better understanding of the supposed bad stuff him and Viren did.

They'll probably go a season or two showing that the elves aren't squeaky clean, then start revealing the shit Harrow and Viren pulled back in the day

>Sneed

Attached: sneed.gif (1100x450, 326K)

You have much more faith in these clowns than I do. The characters are charming and most of the dialogue is fun, every other aspect of the writing in this show is insane nonsense.

>Duren was the most fertile kingdom, a net exporter of food
I was under the impression that they're only the most fertile because of the elemental's heart/Viren's spell.

I will breed that elf

Rayllum is the greatest love story of all time.

Greater even than that between Mr. Palm and Ms. Hand?

Same here. I'm content to leave it at that.

Viren needs to go lite on his autismo to finally start his crusade against the elf question and at the end breed them out

It is fated to occur

Show has some weird pacing and the voice acting is off. But It is ok for now.
It can improve if they explain
>The limits of magic is properly explained
>Why elves hate Dark magic
>What are the powers of the dragon prince or king(seeing that they can destroy stuff that is really hard to break)

Elves are for lewds.

A slide-stop compares to someone who can leap up into trees with barely any effort at all?

Yes.

Based pancake, dark magic, brap waifu would just join in.

>famine deaths are always caused by political failings
Derp. It's a pre-industrial society. Ground grains aren't even stable long term like ours, they go rancid as they're go rancid as the flours retain their oils and almost all of their parts. They're not storing bleached flour.

Non-grains have to be grown without aid of weather forcasters, and can easily yield poor crops or death in extremely harsh years. Severe storms can damage your grains, and incorrect seasons and cold spells can destroy your vegetables; leaving your population fucking starving. Policy has fuckall to do with nature doing something it hasn't done in 50 years, for 3 years in a row. And good luck unbirthing that last generation, but hey, nature is going to do it for ya.

It would either be the catalyst to change, given how she drove Callum away, or the last push down the deep end.
Depends if Soren gets a brainlet elf waifu too.

>Depends if Soren gets a brainlet elf waifu too.
I hate to sound fujo, but he needs some bromance. Fucker has no friends.

Don't lie.

If nothing else, this show has some top-quality banter.

Nigga can't count syllables. He needs someone to talk to. Not a sister who can't get over her heroine addiction.

the She-Ra thread is next door.

That’s why he needs a brainlet on his level to get on with.

You know Soren/Coin Elf buddy cop adventures are coming.

Greasing the wheels and the legman?

Disagreements are resolved by coin flip.

It would be interesting if he legitimately did do nothing wrong, at least initially.
Like maybe he felt bad for humanity being magical cripples, tried to help, things got way out of hand and now he’s pissed.

Honestly, that doesn't sound too bad except for the 4th wall part.

Getting Slaanesh vibes here

Rayllum is good and all but can we get some other characters posted?

this show doesn't exactly have many other pairings, unless you count those people who want Ezran to start taking trap loli dick

>It's a "Soren and Viren raid Claudia's closet" episode

Attached: D31KX7SWwAEZl9B.png_large.png (496x700, 375K)

>Soren and Viren raid Claudia's closet
>"Why does she have half a broom handle in here?"

>And why is Callum's face on it?

Any other people would be a passive reach at the moment.
I’m frankly glad nobody is doing it at the moment, since people reaching to make ships is usually a sign of troubled waters ahead.

hey, at least it's not Ezran's

Let's post our most farfetched Aaravos theories. Evidence, logic and good storytelling sense optional.
I'll start: Aaravos is aware of us, the audience. When he narrated the beginning, he knew we were listening. He has a netflix subscription and he watches the dragon prince as it comes out just like the audience do.

The narration was actually made some point in the future, and he’s deliberately fucking with someone by leaving bits out.

Was fucking great until they decided they were going to do some uninspired love triangle bullshit.

This bugs me. A two-handed grip on an arming sword just seems... real fuckin' awkward.

Attached: 1551497951476.gif (314x232, 1.15M)

I can't really see a triangle happening.
More like a potential relationship got torpedoed and another cropped up.

What are you talking about?
You realise that the Claudia-Callum-Rayla thing is mostly a fandom thing, and that in the show itself, it's implied but not focused on, right?

Just once lets have a show where the lead male and female are not destined to be in some relationship.

nah

I understand your frustration, but it's not fair to be angry at this show for doing something that is nigh-ubiquitous in media, especially considering this show is doing it pretty well.

Also, all things considered, if you have to have a romantic subplot, it's best to have both people involved be main characters with their own personalities who spend a lot of time together so their relationship can develop.
Literally any other alternative is worse.

Pic related sums up my experience with the show

Attached: 1555018208373.jpg (638x1075, 69K)

It's okay, but it suffers from the problem of the main characters not being all that interesting. As in, Viren and his kids are by far the most interesting part of the show. Even though the protags are in charge of the main quest, it's just boring compared to everything else going on around them.

Go fucking kill yourself you weird little retard.

>especially considering this show is doing it pretty well.
This.
They have chemistry, and they're keeping the build up slow enough to be appropriate for how little time they've known each other

Attached: D5V1UOyWkAEj_rp.jpg (857x1200, 161K)

Attached: squid sweat wipe.jpg (500x500, 36K)

Something I like about the impersonations is that Callum clearly isn't amused.
It's a small thing, but the fact people don't see through it because they don't really care, rather than it actually being a good disguise, is a nice touch. Plus it makes the hypocrisy thing seem more intentional.

Attached: 1500599000314.jpg (623x414, 48K)

He looks like Gambit.

So, fuckbuddies?

A show where the writers can play the Romeo and Juliet angle probably isn’t the one to ask for this.

So, Ben 10?

That didn't exactly turn out well from the creators perspective

This upcoming season will determine if their romance arc will be shitty, good or not at all there. So, I'm willing to wait; before I judge whether or not it's a good subplot.

I’d be surprised if anything concrete happened next season, honestly.
Baiting and teasing, probably, but I doubt there’ll be anything substantial.

see, that I'd fuck.
Don't get why all the fujos go for old bearded looks-like-your-uncle-who-wants-to-keep-looking-young Viren.

no!

One other note of praise: the fights in this show are pretty good at showing off different fighting styles and how dual-wielding or ranged weaponry aren't the end-all be-all. I loved watching Soren and Rayla fight to a draw. Same with Amaya basically anytime she uses her shield as a melee weapon.

Do you think they'll bust dad out or let him rot in prison? He did cross some lines they themselves refused to cross.

It would have been amazing if they stick together as a family, way too little that in any show because family troubles is the easiest instant drama plot.

It's a shame we don't yet know what Ehasz thinks of baiting. Because, Zutara was what he and his wife were gunning for and that got shot down. So, Aang and Katara wasn't really indicative of how he'd write a relationship.

Because daddy issues

It was nice of the mature one to pose with the other three and make sure that they didn't wander off, before the painter had finished.

Everyone are asking who fathered Aanya when the real question is who brought her up and educated her.
Nobody comes out of the womb that mature.

It's kind of simple? She was naturally smart and learned that she had to learn quickly or perish. Some kids are smarter than adults and are working with complex subjects that are beyond most others. Life isn't equal.

>who brought her up and educated her.
Her father, duh.

Not all fujos are young spring flowers, user.

3 of them will die.

I wanna molest that elf!

Something that's always annoyed the fuck out of me with the dark magic criticisms: dark magic is basically the One Ring, isn't it? It's something convenient and powerful that runs against the natural order, and even though it can be put to good use, it's inherently corruptive. So even well-meaning, virtuous people who lean on it too much end up withered and amoral. Was that bad writing when the Lord of the Rings did it? Hell, if Aaravos is the one who introduced humans to dark magic he may as well be Sauron. But nobody complains about the ringwraiths getting a bad wrap. What's the deal? Saruman's industrial technology could've revolutionized all of middle-earth but he was a bad guy for using wood-powered steam engines. Was it bad writing then?

The deal is. We're still in the northern water tribe part of the story and the complexity of the fire nation wasn't introduced until Aang went to the fire nation itself. Wait for Aaravos to get his say, then we can decide if this is good or bad writing.

But we're already seeing criticism based entirely in "there's not enough moral complexity!" to dark magic when, for one thing, there IS already moral complexity because the people using it are not portrayed as uniformly evil monsters and for another, negative portrayals of magic that leeches energy out of other life forms to work has been a fantasy staple since at least LOTR if not before then. Maddening watching people shit on the same tropes countless other respected fantasy authors have used before.
