no

I dont even have to watch the movie to know Infinity War was better and Captain Marvel was a bad idea
should have made her brown

This board isn't your personal army.

Yes he is right, no franchise has achieved this before, many tried and flopped in the process

>stay turned for part 20 of this exciting story arc, true believers!
They got conned again, just in a different medium.

It's impressive that the MCU has managed to tell a story through 22 films AND be financially successful but at the same time I don't care about most superhero flicks.

>a bunch of loosely related stories haphazrdly linked together by the same generic characters and rehashed plot-lines without a cohesive structure (three act, hero's journey, any sort of narrative outline really)
>an accomplishment
Are all comic book series accomplishments? What about old serials? Soap operas? Just because something is long and connected doesn't make it art.

Brevity is the soul of wit.

he asked you a question, answer truthfully

you're using that all wrong newfag

Given how long that was, you ain’t witty

Only reddit faggots like the MCU

Yep!
Yea Forums just hates it cause
1) it's popular and Yea Forums hates popular things
2) It's disney
3) Bitter Synderfags

Disney movies are made for easily offended soccer moms and sheep

nice try OP, now crawl back to the hole that spawned you.

i'm not OP and i'll prove it

i like women

He didn't have to be and neither did the 20 moives. Just cause it's long dosen't mean it's genius.

Godzilla does pretty well with over 20 movies as well, but is nowhere near as successful

>flags
>blue board
fuck off to faggot

Yea Forums does it too.

Yeah, the issue with Godzilla as a cinematic universe event is that there aren't enough side characters in Godzilla that aren't Kaiju and can roll with their own installments to lead up to something. That's why Godzilla is just a trilogy this generation.

What Yea Forums properties have a setting large enough to sustain a cinematic universe on the scale of Marvel's, or even close?

You could probably do a new session altogether and get that close with Homestuck's cast. Maybe Neopets? If you count it as Yea Forums since they do have comic installations.

Of course he's right. Anyone who disagrees is just an assmad Yea Forums refugee.

I'm sad you thought your post was clever, and that you didn't have the foresight to stop yourself from posting it.

Please, at your earliest convenience, excuse yourself from this website and never return.

They could make a new property from scratch.

Gonna go with no, sorry.

>tying together seamlessly
>"Um, actually when Thanos got the infinity gauntlet in Avengers 2 that never really happened lol."

It's funny he mentions a grandpa because my theater tonight had a lot of middle-aged people. A lot were surrounded by their kids obviously but for example the couple next to me were on their own. My university's grumpy receptionist was a couple of lines behind me too

no

Replace "movie making" with "marketing" and hes dead on

Wait what do you mean when did they ever retcon that?

are you retarded?

Alright guys what's the Neopets Cinematic Universe going to look like?

Arrival of Virtupets
Battle for Meridell
Brucey B and the Lucky Coin
Champions of Meridell
Curse of Maraqua
Cyodrake's Gaze
Discovery of Tyrannia
Green Jelly Plot
Hannah and the Ice Caves
Hunt for the Crown
Lost Desert Plot
Mystery Island Volcano
Neopet V2
Sacrificers
Ski Lodge Murder Mystery
Usurper
Obelisk War
The Faeries' Ruin Plot
Atlas of the Ancients
Petpet Park Plot
The Return of Sloth Plot
Journey to the Lost Isle
Haunted Woods Plot

These are all of the plots in Neopets. Haunted Woods, Faerie's Ruin, Virtupets, and Sloth plots are absolute kid kino btw. Darkest Faerie's solid, too. Neopets has a pretty decent rouge's gallery in their Gallery of Evil.

The post credits in AoU shows Thanos grabbing an empty gauntlet, while IW shows that he forced the space dwarves to forge one for him. Supposedly one could argue the gauntlet in AoU was created by the dwarves but that would raise the question of how come for that number of years nobody noticed the dwarves were murdered

Either way it's simply autistic to even care

>seamlessly
no

youre also forgetting gamora the last survivor of her race and myriad of other plotholes

>took literal centuries for someone to notice people got hooked up by Star Wars, LotR, Pirates, Harry Potter, Twilight
>turns out, people enjoy following stories and hate retcons, contrary to what retarded companies used to think by keeping the status quo
>nerd shit started to get attention as kids kept turning into adults and wanting more of the things they grew up with
>disney had the money to adapt what has already existed in the form of comics for nearly 8 decades
>people liked it and wanted to follow it, to surprise of no one
right about what? about saying the sky is blue?
im sure zoomers want to meme this as this big event in the history of humanity but i had already lived that multiple times in the form of tv shows comics games books anime shit, its everywhere and as creativity keeps going down the toilet it was a matter of time for something like this to happen.
I'll said godzilla is still the king in this regard.

>myriad
And is this the best you can mention, off hand comments and teasers? As i said, autistic

I can appreciate that even if I hate the franchise right now and don't watch it. I get it. I also get people being contrarian and getting annoyed at the normie-hype.

That is also a decent point, it's just not something that is accomplished over the course of multiple movies, shows are easier to control, movies are difficult.

>Either way it's simply autistic to even care

No it shows the lack of planning in their planning. They have an idea they're working towards but were changing it constantly for the increasing normie/casual demand. I'm impressed they got this far but it's per Hollywood style of just churning out films. There is some stuff like that that shows they obviously werent thinking of each link in the chain until they arrived at that link.

you're on this board, so you're both a liar and a faggot

and so am I

yes. having 20 films finish in a satisfying conclusion is a momentous achievement.

>Thanos giving loki a infinity stone even though he clearly needs it for the gauntlet
>Fury's eye which he bitches about losing hinting at a traitor but actually clawed out by alien cat
>Odin's fake glove when clearly had real glove
>Banner remembering Thanos when in Ragnarok he can't remember what he does as hulk
>Bifrost bridge that connects earth that Thor breaks leaving him distraught, In avengers he comes and goes as he pleases
Better an autist than a retard, Just because your're a moron doesn't mean everyone else is.

>Godzilla does pretty well with over 20 movies as well, but is nowhere near as successful
Godzilla suffers from Police Academy Syndrome (PAS). Where the first movie is legitimately good, the second movie is arguably good and the rest of the series had no excuse to exist. Face it, you're a retard that needs explosions to be entertained.

>phoneposter screencap
Sunset yourself turbonigger

If it's so easy then how come DC can't do it?

>seemlessly tie together
How do they even tie together?
I saw all three iron man movies and they had nothing to do with this avengers shit

btw Iron man dies

FUCK YOU STOP SPOILING REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
FUCK YOU FUCK YOU NIGGER REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>Iron Man 2 has a Captain America shield
>Iron Man 3 literally mentions the Avengers

>mentioning something means the movies blend together or some shit
Easily impressed

I actually thought Endgame did a fucking great job at tying it all in, to the point where I'd argue that in order to fully appreciate the movie, you really needed to have seen every movie.

For example, if I decided to get caught up on everything by finally watching Thor 2 and that whole bit where Thor and Rocket go back in time to that movie would've been completely lost on me if I hadn't.

Godzilla movies have a different structure than the MCU and you know it. Although it's not the worst comparison, I have to admit.

>What is foreshadowing

My little user cant be this retarded

cinema is dead

Attached: 1545901795684.jpg (720x1107, 373K)

Because DC hasn't been bought out by Disney yet.
DC should become the Disney Company.

So is it just me or have MCU fans been getting a lot more pissy lately about any sort of criticism?
Like one damn comment that isn't gargling Marvel's balls just for existing and the "JUST LET PEOPLE LIKE THINGS YOU CONTRARIAN" brigade swoops in.

You'd think the most well fed and pandered to fanbase in existence wouldn't be so mad at the fact that people with different tastes exist.

Attached: 1408844598369.png (400x400, 180K)

It is important to not only win, but by also making the loser eat dirt and reminding them of their inferiority.

a simple throw away comment of there being plotholes and they're willing to bite your heads off.
I don't even give that much a shit but these marvel faggots are cancerous

I sat next to an elderly Mexican woman on opening night who only spoke Spanish. Many "ay, dios mio"'s and "es el padre?"'s were overheard.

Flash Gordon serials did it well, as did the Spider serials.

It's marketing excellence, but I wouldn't call the movies good

sure but he actually sounds like a grandpa too.

No it's not, you're just a bitch baby mad that something you didn't like made money

because DC keeps retconing previous movies and people lose interest. After all the memes i cant believe they didnt continued with nolan batman, also, superman fucking sucks.
Wonderwoman and Aquaman did great with the audiences.

Honestly no, as I have no investment in these movies. I'm only seeing End Game for closure. Also, all 20 movies to not tie in together. They only loosely tie together. Marveldrones are so fucking easy.

Oh sweet summer child. He beat me to it.

Unironically all those things are, to have an artistic work made and seen by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world is a pretty big accomplishment imho. The movie was the result of 11 years of buildup and countless hours put in by the folks who worked on them, it deserves some respect even if it doesn't personally gel with your sensibilities.

No. POPULAR THING BAD! BAAAADDDD!

>movie is shit but praise it for previous shitty movies
Fucking hell, is this new mouseshills narrative? Will capeshit ever end? Both Marvel DC and minor studios making below average fanservice trash instead of an actual movies and STILL making money. Cinema is trully dead. Worst timeline.

Attached: 1547549957008.jpg (629x505, 33K)

Actually, if anything it's the end of proper moviemaking and the start of endless shitty filler crap until the next event, just like mainstream comics.

Haven't soap operas kept the same continuity of their shows for decades? Why doesn't anyone appreciate them?

'Cause they're soap operas.

>'Cause they're superhero films.

>Why doesn't anyone appreciate them?
Because operas doesn't have marketing budget around 200-300 million dollars. Literally the only appreciation I've heard about Endgame is "le big epic emotional finale"
No one can say WHY it's actually good movie. It's all about "but it's marvel so you must see it xD"

Gotta sting being a soap opera fan and seeing your arch-nemesis superhero films stealing your spotlight and fame.

I'm pretty sure CW did big crossover ending event before MCU. It's not an original thing at all.

>It's not an original thing at all.
I don't think anyone claimed the MCU was.

twitter.com/dril/status/993164422054072320

mentioning of hero's journey makes your post automatically invalid irrelevant and outs you as a brainlet sheeple.

I currently have 25 threads about Endgame hidden on the Yea Forums catalog. I haven't seen it yet. With a buncha family stuff like my dad getting home from the hospital, I couldn't go with friends to see it this weekend.

>having friends who watching capeshit
pathetic

Not as pathetic as not having friends at all, man.

Absolutely, Endgame is an experience. You simply can't enjoy the movie how it was supposed to be enjoyed if you weren't following the movies up until this point. There is literally nothing else like it.

True. However, my fiends are intend to watch Engame as well. I have nothing but utter contempt for them because of that. They've seen Captain Marvel and even admitted that it was pure trash and yet they want more capeshit. I think mouse developed some kind of mindset into people heads.
My friends are mostly smart and decent people and yet they're capeshitters. How could they fall so hard is beyond any rational reason.

Attached: 1554241182113.jpg (412x351, 21K)

he sounds like an absolute ninny lol

these movies are so-so popcorn experiences

>bad guy's plan from previous movie gets undone
>bad guy dies

wow what an experience!

Yes, we getting faggot, the MCU uses a formula but if it ain't broken don't fix it.

>bad guy loses
That is literally every action movie ever, what matters is character development and the hero's journey.

Not him, but marvel's formula was broken from the start. It offers nothing but lowest form of satisfaction for masses.
And bad guys won in Split, Glass, TDK and Watchmen.

Depends on who you consider the bad guy
OZYMANDIAS WAS RIGHT AND MR. GLASS WAS TOO

Ture, howerver it shows how complex and interesting ideas and characters in these movies. Can you say the same about mcu ones? Never.

>Civil War
>Winter Soldier
Even GOTG deals with how the main character deal with the fact that they become a family after spending so much time being lone wolfes and how they believe they can't be loved

What are you even talking about, mate? there is nothing complex nor interesting about that. It's entry level traits

What do you consider complex or interesting?
How a group of misfit become a family and surpass their fears, that sounds interesting.
How a symbol of hope discovers that the country he serves isn't to be trusted and thus he has to change his way of being, that's interesting.
How two sides fight each for something that seems stupid but at the end it's an elaborate plan of a motherfucking monster to separate them, that's interesting

>Entry level traits
>While praising Watchmen
nice b8 m8

I consider complex or interesting Tarkovsky, Kurosawa or if we're talking about action movies at least De Palma or Mann and Verhoeven.
And everything you said sounds interesting on paper, but with poor execution it's just children movies with pew pew and nothing more. You can't make a decent and complex action movie with tv-tier directors who never made an actual movie. Also you're obligated to follow quippy formula so you can't make a movie instead of capeshit even if you try.

>I consider complex or interesting Tarkovsky, Kurosawa or if we're talking about action movies at least De Palma or Mann and Verhoeven.
oh so you're one of those special boys

>damn you're not eating shit like the rest of us, must be special xD
absolute state of this board

>look at me I can name directors every normie on earth knows that makes me special DURRR

Attached: 1wkhmbkn3bg01.jpg (403x438, 25K)

>reading comprehension of capeshitters
fucking hell, this place is beyond redemption

Imagine actually watching capeshit.

>Of course he's right.
underage and retardpilled

>yes. having 20 films finish in a satisfying conclusion is a momentous achievement.
sadly its never been done before

you're literally proving his point right you retard.
>mention something
>hurr durr it blend seamlessly well

This, I love Trump and making the faggot here seethe

No wonder Yea Forums obsesses over them like nothing else, isn't this the website for middle-aged suburban moms?
