Was YTV more based than all the kids channels in the States?
>All the best shows from Fox Kids
Even Sam & Max?
YTV was basically my go-to after school channel for the majority of the 90s. Literally watched just about everything that had to offer.
Even Sam & Max
YTV is really underappreciated. I don't think there has ever been any other network/channel quite like it. The closest is 90s Nickelodeon but even that isn't quite the same.
>>All the best shows from CN
most CN shows went to teletoon
Aeon Flux, The Maxx, Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, and ReBoot are the ones that stick out in my mind.

Yeah, CN's B-tier shows went to Teletoon.
Coming home from school to watch Pokemon.
Shadow Raiders on the weekend.
Good times.
YTV and Teletoon were all I watched along with Family Channel sometimes for Dave the Barbarian and Recess.

I wonder what Carlos is doing now
It aired in Discovery Kids in some countries.
Yep
I also remember them playing Rocky & Bullwinkle and jetsons well before Teletoon Retro was a thing. And this was Sunday Morning. YTV was probably my favorite of the Canadian channels growing up.
I remember when it launched ca. 1987. YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION was big; everyone at school watched it and would talk about it the next day. God Les Lye .
Reporting for ET Canada.

They did not show The Head?
Don't remember YTV airing The Head, but it was aired on Teletoon in 1998.
"Don'tcha put it in your mouth (Don'tcha put it in your mouth)
Don't stuff it in your face (Don't stuff it in your face)
Though it might look good to eat (Though it might look good to eat)
And it might look good to taste (And it might look good to taste)
You could get sick! (Ick!)
Real quick! (Ick!)
Real sick, Real... ick.
Don'tcha put it in your mouth"
Sounds like that one song from Home Movies.
Best show

You know, in the 90's lineup, there's somthing that everone in the house might like to watch.
In the new one, only an autistic 8 year old would want to watch all that.
Reboot was my favourite cartoon ever. I loved Beast Wars and Shadow Raiders too.
Teletoon had Cybersix though which was great.
Lol remember the girl one? youtube.com
House Hippos were the best too:

Encore+ has a lot of Canadian TV up like the Odyssey and Are You Afraid of the Dark but not everything is in a playlist so its hard to browse.
Anyone else used to love the Odyssey? It was about a kid who was trying to wake up from a coma and it was a mindfuck to baby me. youtube.com

I want to die.

zoomer here, I used to stay up past bedtime to watch Zixx
What about Andy from crunch?
Ajay was better.
it was especially great late at night. When I was 11 I was staying at a cousin's place, and luckily he fell asleep with the tv still on. I kept watching and then suddenly Vampire Hunter D came on and blew my mind...then after it played Heavy Metal and I didn't know what to think anymore! It was amazing
