Dark is a relative term, the actual print of eclipsa's chapter is funny that way, the total annihilation spell and all seeing eye, just have a nasty side effect, she made spells for her own use, such as mind reading,mind control, and dark inferno.

She has a line in S3 where she says "All knowledge is good knowledge" and so I guess the implication is that she pushes the limits of magic because she's talented and because she can, but it just feels like foreshadowing that actually never ends up amounting to anything.

This is because in retrospect it almost seems like Eclipsa-the-dark-magic-user was more of a plot device than anything to give Moon the spell against Toffee, and Eclipsa-the-victim is a Good Girl who never did anything wrong ever and just fell in love and was discriminated against because of who she loved even though she's so good and purehearted and loves and forgives everybody :(

Solaria created a spell to turn people into hyper-aggressive super soldiers, and was working on a genocide spell when she died. Skywynne created a zombie apocalypse spell, a spell that deletes gravity and a spell that blew up an entire dimension. Crescenta created the Monster Arm spell. Rhina (accidentally) created a spell that kills the target with a heart attack.

So is it Eclipsa or Eclypsa? The show has everything as Eclipsa but I've seen staff members use the alternative version.

It's definitely meant to be Eclipsa; spellbook has it like that too. IIRC once when Sabrina Cotugno had spelled it "Eclypsa" on an episode poster, she then put in tags on the same post something like "yeah I misspelled Eclipsa, sorry."

I think it may have been the original spelling before they decided to go with "Eclipsa," though, since Eclypsa does seem to be used in things like that S3 planning board or whatever. Personally I think Eclypsa looks better aesthetically, but Eclipsa makes more sense alongside the other characters' names because it's not like they're Starr, Moone, etc.

I personally think what they should've done is have eclipsa and globgor both labelled traitors by their respective "sides".

This opens up actually showing Shastacan as a bad person by having him send the MHC after eclipsa.
This opens up explaining Eclipsa's more practically focused approach to magic. If she has enemies on both sides of an active war, including her own mother solaria, it would only make sense that she would use every tool at her disposal, even if those tools are seen as "dark magic".
This also opens up the ability to explain WHY Globgor ate Shastacan after going vegan. If Globgor found out that it was Shastacan who sent the MHC after them he would have an understandable reason to kill him.

After Star and Marco sit down and eat pancakes, Angie questions why Star's swimsuit is in the freezer. This makes Star realize that today is beach day so she grabs Marco and heads on to the beach... by taxi. The taxi driver abandons them after Star gives the taxi car wings to jump out of traffic. Their next plan to go to the beach was by Cloudy, but that fails once the stratosphere is surrounded by clouds. Their final plan is walking, but signs of them heading to the beach was unsatisfactory until a seagull steals a sandwich from them. The seagull leads them to the beach but Star accidentally left both the camera and the photo to take the beach day picture. Marco convinces Star that everything is fine and they have the time of their lives at the beach. Some lady coincidentally takes their picture and they finally get the exact same beach day photo they were looking for. Star became unhappy with the results and went to Father Time. Father Time explains that a future Star only gave the beach day photo for not the beach day itself, but to remind her that everything will be okay all after Moon supposedly goes missing and her lack of princess duty in Mewni. This makes Star realize that beach day isn't significant, but important in its own way. In order to give the photo to Past Star, Present Star takes a picture of the beach day photo on her phone and gives the photo copy to Father Time, whom writes "BEACH DAY" on the photo.

Pretty much what you'd expect.

Marco begins putting both Mariposa and Meteora to sleep as he both babysits them. Marco gives Mariposa a tiny sock puppet for her to fall asleep in. Suddenly, Hekapoo comes out of a portal warning Marco that everything is fucked up on Mewni and that he shouldn't go back there no matter what is the reason. Marco goes to Star about the issue and Star shrugs it off. When Star wants to give Eclipsa a picture of both of the babies sleeping together, they notice in the room that the portal from Hekapoo was left open and that the babies are missing. Star and Marco go looking for them and eventually find out that they are both teenagers now. After settling down in their house or something, Mari and Mete give Star and Adult!Marco a soup that makes them pass out (in result for not trusting them) and lift up their bodies to a demon door. The demon door opens to reveal... a flamboyant anime demon OC that looks like Tom but the only difference is that he has no pants and has a magic eating stomach with lips (I can't make this up even if I wanted to). The demon thing made a deal with both of them if that if he gets to eat Star, Mari will gain powers just like Mete already does. After Marco wakes up, he convinces Mari not to give Star away for the random demon guy. She listens and declines the offer to the demon guy. The demon guy then decides to fight, but since he eats magic, he can only be fought the old-fashioned way. Marco and Mari both fight him and their solution to defeating him was putting garlic in his mouth stomach. The demon guy goes back in his door. Both Mete and Mari still don't trust Star and Adult!Marco until Marco sees Mari with the finger puppet he gave her in the Earth dimension as a necklace. This makes Mari realize that Marco is his brother, but her and Mete decline the offer to go back to Earth. Star and Marco then convinces them that there's food. They decide to go back to being babies again.[/spoilers]

You guys are missing another detail. Everyone thinks Marco is Mariposa's dad. And Some think Star is the mom. The show implied everyone thought Marco and Star were fucking and were ok with it. Like they wxpect2d it.
