>Time travelling, treasonous, irresponsible, freedom hating, Hydra enabling, Niece rapist
You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.
>Time travelling, treasonous, irresponsible, freedom hating, Hydra enabling, Niece rapist
You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.
Yeah because fucking with the timeline when you already know how fucking insanely hard it is to defeat thanos is sounds like an excellent idea
For the record Sharon is Peggy's niece, completlely blood unrelated to Cap and it was only just a kiss.
That being said Cap just tapping ever-older pussy for 90 years without stopping HYDRA is just retarded.
So what happens to Peggy's original husband and kids?
shh, don't think about it just enjoy the pretty lasers and explosions
So are there two Steves now?
What happened to frozen Cap?
>Be Captain America
>Decide to fuck up Hydra while in the past
>Somehow shit goes south
>Thanos has an infinity stone 50 years earlier
Frozen Cap is this cap just earlier in the timeline. There's about ten years in the timeline where they both exist (Frozen Cap doing the things we saw in the movies while this cap lives with Peggy). But then Frozen Cap goes back in time to be this cap.
Also, none of it really makes sense as time travel does
Frozen Cap is frozen until he arrives at the future. It's a stupid forced loop with an uncharacteristic ending for Cap.
He was never named or shown officially, it could've been Steve with an alias to protect his identity
Cap cucked him.
>turning Steve into a selfish asshold who doesn't give a fuck about his traumatized best friend and his black best friend and instead fucks off to the past to lewd his waifu while not caring about how his friend is getting raped, 9/11 happens, Tony's parents get murdered, etc.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
Someone spoil me on what characters were cut.
Lord have mercy. This is why disbanding that comic book committee was a mistake. It's to stop stupid shit like this from happening.
>not understanding that it's possible that he did do good things in the past with Peggy
>not realising that Bucky was aware of Cap leaving for the past
So why didn't they use Mistress Death at all? Were they worried brainlets wouldn't be able to tell the difference between her and Hera?
Because it's a bizarre, shonen-tier motivation. "The villain we've spent a decade building up is actually just a beta orbiter who wants to fuck the Grim Reaper" is ridiculous in a bad way.
He said that he was going to live the life Tony wanted for him. I doubt that means going around playing hero again.
Bucky is going to drink himself to death with Sam in their show.
Peggy was Director of SHIELD all the way into the 70s, if not the 80s. You really think Cap was a housewife during that time?
So, how did the time travel work?
Did they allow multiple timelines to go to shit?
Or how is Thanos alive for IW if past Thanos died when he went to the future?
Yes
That's a pretty fun motivation tbqh senpai
He clearly meant it when he said "Hail Hydra".
I think it would've worked. Culling 50% just delays the inevitable. They could've made it as a reveal that Thanos only did it for her and he was just bullshiting. But yeah it might because of this .
the only real asspull was how Thanos was made aware of the whole time heist thing
there's no real reason for Nebula to share memories at that point other than the plot demanding it
>Get chopped and cyberenhanced
>Not enjoying all the benefits of space Google Driveā¢
>Not sharing your data and porn with your daddy Thanos
daily reminder that, while he was spending his life with Peggy, he knew that Bucky was being tortured for 50 years, and he didn't care
Eh, during that scene it sounded more like him WANTING the life Tony had during the timeskip.
How good was that pussy?
what makes you so sure that he didn't try? Bucky also knew he was going back in time. At that point he obviously forgave him
>Captain America couldve stopped 9/11 and didnt
proof that it was an inside job all along
He was Cap all along.
This
>Hayley Atwell's fat ass and tight pussy
that pussy was worth it
>Dabs in Stark
He's also a blonde white guy and the age gap fits.
Just saiyan.
>going back in time and altering history
Yeah I'm sure there's no time based repercussions for that.
>Did they allow multiple timelines to go to shit?
no because Cap fixed them, but the issue is figuring out how exactly
the Ancient One could have helped him I guess
Cap was finally able to have sex.
>they literally fucked the official timeline with the 2012' failure and nothing happened
Where did Falcon's shield come from?
100% guarantee Loki shows up again and they use 2012-Tesseract-runaway Loki.
From Cap's 4th movie that deals with his time travelling adventures
Along with Black Widow's "Gamora and BW adventures on the soul stone" movie
Old Cap is actually escaped 2012 Loki in disguise.
This certainly leaves the possibility of an Invaders movie at some point, does it not?
The motivation makes way more sense than the movie's environmentalist bullshit. Thanos wants to win the love of Death herself. And to that he has to show what an absolute chad he is by giving her more souls than she knows what to do with. Simple.
We wouldn't have to put up with that stupid fucking "RESOURCES" meme if they'd just stuck with what worked.
>IW Thanos: 8/10 great performance bad motivation
>Endgame Thanos: HURRR HURR IM BAD I'LL KILL THE FUCKING UNIVERSE literally Malekith with new suit
>Sharon is Peggy's niece, completlely blood unrelated to Cap and it was only just a kiss.
He still watched her grow up though. That makes it even creepier.
If your the sorta dude that would push for Cap to go around fucking with the timeline your the same kind of idiot who's the same level of retard as Quill in Infinity Wars
>they use 2012-Tesseract-runaway Loki.
So about to be redeemed Loki?
Or you know, He stays in the present so that his character, who can't deal with life without a conflict, doesn't have to go through the moral dilemma of intervening with the future astrocities the world would face.
Only brainlet manchildren would enjoy this beta thanos
Thanos sitting waiting for Stark,Cap, and Thor to walk to him is the most kino moments in this movie
>Implying he isn't a chad that easily killed 50% of all living beings just to impress his lady
samefagging here
Friga knows about time travel, so she could help Steve return the reality stone maybe right before her and Portman have that scene I think that's just the two of them in Dark World
Does Peggy know about time travel? She could help with the 70s space stone if she already knew that Steve was gonna go back further and live with her.
I assume you can just chuck the soul stone off the cliff.
The problem is, the Loki and Power Stone branches can't really be fixed unless Steve gives the stones to the Avengers after they time travel but before they cause problems. So there is another layer of the closed time loop where they never caused the fucked up branches? Does that duplicate all the stones again? I can kind of picture the extra nebula-thanos-gamora branch as one that only exists to create duplicates and then be erased, but Loki is on the run. Unless the Ancient One does something to help Steve, shit is fucked.
If you can create branches than somehow end up in a closed loop, then the answer is probably just yaddy yadda "observer effect" it all makes sense from Steve's perspective so it's fine because quantum whatsit.
I get that by going back in time to be with Peggy Steve forfeits any control he has to change events. But you cannot convince me that he was 100% living in bliss with Peggy while also simultaneously knowing about what's happening with Bucky, what will happen to Tony's parents, and everything else that will eventually come to pass in history during that 70 year time period. He's helpless to do anything to change it. How is that a happy ending for him?
That's the issue. It must've been torture to watch future horrible events unfold and you're telling me Cap of all people will stand back? .Comics already tackled the same issue and Cap said "No" in horror.
WHERE DID OLD CAP GET HIS ORIGINAL SHIELD????
So...the most anticipated movie in the past twenty years is pure shit? That's nice to know.
It's better than the original and Age of Ultron but quite a bit worse than Infinity War.
It's on par with Ultron, I would say
I liked how they retroactively explained some of their plot holes
>what where the New York wizards doing during the Avengers battle with the chit- oh wait, nevermind, they were there all along just fighting offscreen
They didn't. They set every stone back in place.
>HUUURRRR DUUUURRR HERO CAN'T HAVE HAPPY ENDING
Changing the timeline would have resulted in more deaths. That was the whole point of it. At this point you are just trolling, you know he did the right thing.
>>turning Steve into a selfish asshold
How is anything he did selfish ? There is nothing wrong in what he did. Why do you the so much that he has an happy ending ?
>doesn't give a fuck about his traumatized best friend
Excuse me, but how is that different than coming back to the present after he put the stones back in place ?
This
They took extra care to make sure the timeline is exactly as it was except for Thanos... and Gamora... and probably some other things
This
No, it's pure awesomeness.
>Captain America, Wolverine and Punisher serving in āNam is now possible
Cap probably changed things in an alternate timeline
Then Cap somehow returned to his original timeline.
Nice try Yea Forums but there isn't a single person who thinks it's bad
Unlike your DC "kino"
how would Old Cap fit in the new movies? have him be the old mentor for Spidey or like pic related but instead of one above all its cap
Do audiences at-large find it overtly offputting when a protagonist is miserable? I remember reading years ago that we'd likely never get a comic-faithful Matt Murdock on the big screen since he's miserable and suffering 90% of the time.
Hey, can someone please make sure the mods banned the dumbass who was actually spamming Endgame spoilers last night?
All I posted was this: desuarchive.org
The pic was just to let everybody know of the GIF version that was being spammed like crazy. If Iām gonna be banned for no reason, the real culprit might as well be, too.
not tv or dc, fuck face Faggot. I love marvel but not this BULLSHIT
No. Just leave the old man alone. He made his choice. He should've stayed in the present if he wanted input.
so are they gonna give Wilson a super soldier serum too, or is he just gonna be some random nigga with wings *and* a shield?
surely the wakandans will help
Too early for one of these, lads?
I think there's a balance. Spider-Man can be pretty miserable but I think Raimi handled him as well as he could adapting it to film.
Thatās what happened in the comics. Unless Cap has biological kids the SS serum dies with him.
It's too late if anything. I guess I have to go back to the comics for my capchad fix.
>Changing the timeline would have resulted in more deaths. That was the whole point of it.
And how the fuck does Cap return all of the stone when Loki got away you dumb fuck?
i'd say definitely, which is why boomer thor was somewhat necessary even if he himself was mopey for the first half
Was it established that the wakanda flower and super soldier serum are the same thing? I can't remember
>since he's miserable and suffering 90% of the time.
That's literally Netflix Matt Murdock though.
>big screen
>There are people who think Captain America would do nothing
Probably not. I think they just do the same thing. I mean Hulk was made from the military trying to replicate the super soldier serum.
well my TV is a big creen....
How does Cap even return to the original timeline?
He probably fixes things in the alternate timeline he decide to stay in...but somehow he had to return to the original one... So how does he get back?
He doesn't return that one, I think. It should be one of the divergent timelines. Same goes for the one with past Thanos coming to the future and getting gibbed.
Arguably, Cap should have travelled back to another alternate timeline, but some convoluted fuckery means he was always around and ignored everything for pussy, while cucking his frozen self. Or they broke their own time travel rules and for some reason, changes to another timeline altered their past, which invalidates a lot of what they did in the movie.
>that Thor and Rocket scene on Asgard
why are they so good together bros? they always have good scenes
its not the same cap
theres an infinite number of realities where cap goes back in time and they all switch places with one another
I like to imagine Thanos, Gamora, and the rest of the army got warped back to their time. Otherwise that's bad writing.
And Nebula was just KO'd. Otherwise that's bad writing.
And Loki... does Thor 2 and 3 just not happen?
ngl I am more hyped for asguardians of the galaxy than anything else in marvel movies from now on
That's incredibly convoluted for no reason. What if one timeline has no Peggy then?
The issue with Loki is that they were low on Pim particles, which Cap was provided plenty for his restoration mission. You know the Quantum Jump allow to literally jump anywhere in space and time, right ?
Loki was handle just like the rest of the time-fuckery: off-screen.
No matter what, how is that different that if he had put the stone back in place and come back to the present ? There is still the same Loki issue.
>split timeline cuck
No. It's only mentioned as a possibility at one moment, which doesn't even happen since the stones are returned.
Who's to say he didn't try
Loki will replace Thanos for Annihilation
Hold the fuck up.
If one year on reality is equal to one hour in the quantum realm, why the fuck pic related came back aged and not just as young as the day she entered the quantum realm?
Anybody?
If you watched Steins Gate, You'll know thst trying to prevent something horrible and failing can be enough to break you. Steve would've turned into an unhinged individual with his character.
Nobody is managing any of this another. They just write scripts and go with it.
why couldnt they just use the particles to go back in time and get the time stone?
>he actually believes thats the real Janet
You cant mess with the timeline unless it involves infinity stones. They talked about this.
>Loki was handle just like the rest of the time-fuckery: off-screen.
Isn't there a Loki TV Show in the works for Disneys streaming service
>Hydra enabling, Niece rapist
/ourguy/
Guys, what the fuck happened to storm breaker?
>maybe strange made a mistake
>or maybe i did
what did the Ancient One mean by this? no seriously i didn't understand, what was her mistake?
The quantum realm is completely unpredictable (until Tony makes the GPS thing).
He said time works differently. As in it makes no sense because its in a quantum flux. Tony himself said that Scott got lucky. We know what happens when u dont get lucky. AKA be a baby or an old man. Janet got lucky too and was able to age normally trapped there.
Or Thanos or Gamora or the other Nebula or Cap stayingGin the past and marrying Peggy
Time is convoluted in Anor... I mean the Quantum Realm.
Not trusting Hulk
Look, just laugh at the funny lines and leave your brain at home okay?
I'm pretty sure she meant in a profoundly negative way. Like removing an Infinity Stone disrupts the entire universe in a profound way because you're effectively taking away a fundamental force, and in their case, it was protecting reality from mystic realms and at the time, Dormamu.
Removing Thanos, Gamora and Nebula changed a timeline, but not in an intrinsic way in that life would carry on as normal once the Infinity Stone was returned.
Not initially trusting Banner and refusing to give it to him until that point.
These actually make sense.
Also doesn't mjolnir limit his powers? And where is damn storm breaker
>Also doesn't mjolnir limit his powers?
No.
God damn it, Cap. You really asked for this one.
Yes user, I too forgot Thor Ragnarok exists
It only helped Thor focus his powers.
They did. They did it for every stones.
This is pretty good.
Not really.
Imagine being able to use the Quantum Tunnel if you had the Pym particles.
I'd go back to 8:00am on 9/11, go to the top of the Empire State Building, and look to the north and wait for Flight 11 to come into view. Then I would start filming the North Tower and say some meme shit like
>"Oh boy, I love the World Trade Center. It's such an iconic building. Boy I sure hope nothing bad hap- *pan over to plane flying past* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
2019 shitpost meme in advance.
I've heard people saying it was okay because when he went into the past, it was a different reality because of the changes he made, so him changing history wasn't so bad... but that doesn't make any sense. Doesn't he arrive back in the SAME future again, just by growing old? If he truly had gone back to stay in a branched timeline, he never would have met up with the same Bucky/Falcon again in the present
I've not seen the movie and don't plan on it, but this just sounds like MCU fags trying to rationalize why Steve would be so fucking selfish.
This sounds retarded.
>They did it for every stones
but if they have a magic stone that lets them travel through time, why not just use that and save the particles for say some sort of emergency that could arise?
wait so Red Skull tricked Thanos?
Okay sure, but where the fuck is storm breaker
Yeah, his appearance is inconsistent with the rules they set out earlier in the movie. It goes to show that time travel should be used sparingly, but it was a plot device for Endgame to give reference to past events and as a swan song to this phase of the MCU.
They could have just gotten the time stone and rewinded Thanos back to just before he destroyed the stones in the main timeline
It's as retarded as it sounds.
Carol was pretty much useless in the entire film besides taking out Thanos's ship wasn't she? Heck she couldn't even take out Thanos that was heavily weakened and exhausted by Thor, Cap, Iron Man and Scarlet Witch.
How so?
but that brings in the incest shit again
>not wanting to fuck your hot SHIELD agent niece and letting your other self follow through while you fap to the thoughts
ONE OF US
ONE OF US
I know they gave Cap a happy ending, but I still don't know why they assassinated his character and let people die during the hydra shit in Winter Soldier or let Civil War happen.
The time travel GPS wristband Tony made for the heist
Cap probably saves people on his time line with happy ending, ours remains unchanged because of the rules, they explain all of this in the first part of the movie, it works like Trunks says on DBZ
This makes lots of sense.
So what are people whining about?
Then why does he grow old and turn up? He should have returned on that platform.
>gave Cap a happy ending
>happy ending
see and
Im just glad they showed Captain Woke as little as they could as she was my biggest concern. If anything they just showed how bad of a """character"""" she is. If you even can call her a character, she just exists and they showed that perfectly.
No, he can return to any place and time as long as he has the wristband and pym particle
You're in Yea Forums, the "cap is a coward" shit posting is the new "why didn't he double the resources?"
Then why use the platforms in the first place?
I didn't expect she would job that much. Feige hyped her role in this movie, but now i see he was only trying to sell her solo flick. That being said, her new costume is absolutely amazing. The Russos are so fucking based.
>wanting cap to mess with the timeline, risking to not reach the point where they undo the dusting of the universe
You should be arrested OP.
well she did stop Thanos from snapping again
He just barely managed to turn the tables by slipping on the Power Stone. Base Thanos clearly wasn't going strong enough to take her. All those concerns about Carol being OP were pretty justified. The writers had to shove her out for the majority of the film after the prologue to keep her from overshadowing everyone else.
Fucking hell, you'd think after Justice League Marvel would know better than to have one character make all the others feel superfluous. Thanos in the comics is more than capable of beating Carol without the gems. But in the movies him and all the other heavyweights have been nerfed, with Carol being the sole exception.
You've really gotta wonder who they're going to pit Carol up against in future films. If the villain they'd been building up since Phase 1 needs a power amplifier to take her, then who could make a credible threat?
Alright so how the fuck did Thanos' ship time travel if Nebula had the particles used to bring her back? And if Thor can take Mjolnir out into his timeline with no repurcussions, why don't they just fish out Stark from like an hour ago?
This also an issue when a certain character sacrificed himself. If a few heavy hitters can take on Thanos, Was the sacrifice worth it? I still don't get why they didn't make him strong as his comic counterpart when they're just going to use the Gauntlet to deal with him anyway.
Steve probably returned Mjolnir to 2013. We see him take it with him as he goes back in time.
>It's okay for Cap to go off and fuck with another timeline just so he can be happy, then return to his own shitty one, magically.
Nah, the whole thing just reeks of laziness. The writers were trying super hard to think of a way to give Cap the happiest of endings to offset the fact that Tony and Nat got greased, nobody cares about Hawkeye, Thor literally shat all over his own character arc, and nothing Bruce has done has mattered for the last 10 years. When you think about it, the "core" Avengers team is in a really fucking sorry state at the end of this saga. They basically tried to go with the most saccharine-sweet, contrived, feel-good ending for Steve, and completely ignored the fact that while it serves as closure to one of his longest-standing regrets, it also completely shits on his character and makes him seem selfish as fuck, and if you think about it for more than 5 seconds, it really introduces a lot of problems. But hey, just turn your brain off, lol.
I like the user who made it apparent just how much of an empty plot device she was. You could have replaced her with a fucking secret laser weapon and her effect on the plot would have been the same.
For control an safety, like any lab experiment, and possibly a nod to Doom's time machine
When they loose the tesseract, Steve and Tony travel to another earlier time line with just the bands and pym particle, where no plataform at all exists, this shows they can appear anywhere as long as they know how to operate and reprogram them
>Alright so how the fuck did Thanos' ship time travel if Nebula had the particles used to bring her back?
they had the tech to harvest more particles
> why don't they just fish out Stark from like an hour ago?
Because they would need to put him back
It's pym particles, i ain't gotta explain shit. Maybe Thanos went to earth to collect more pym particles in 2014 and then did the time travel. No idea about the Mjolnir, tho.
Okay, that works for me.
Credible threats to Carol, you say?
Heralds of Galactus.
Annihilus.
Magnus.
Can some one explain to me how old cap was in the main timeline?
I thought the way time travel worked in the movie was similar to how it works in like DBZ to avoid potential time travel plot holes and fuck ups.
Like, when Trunks time travels in DBZ, he doesn't actually go back to the past in his timeline, he goes back to the past in a duplicate timeline, meaning whatever changes he makes in the past doesn't affect his future, only the future of the past timeline he traveled to.
I could've sworn this was the way it worked in the movie because Hulk said something about how time travels doesn't work like any of the examples war machine brought up?
If I got it wrong and whatever changes they made in the past do fuck up their future, doesn't that mean the timeline should be all fucked up do the changes they made like loki escaping due to tony fucking up the heist?
I'm so fucking confused, can somebody help work this out, i'm a bit of a brainlet.
this movie will be Last Jedi of the MCU
They nerfed the Gauntlet as well now that I think about it. In the comics version once you put it on, you were basically capital G God. Wiping out half the universe was just Thanos' appetizer. It didn't damage the Gauntlet or him whatsoever, and he proceeded to do loads of cool reality warping shit.
The fight Thanos had with Galactus and all the cosmic deities only highlighted just how insignificant the Avengers' assault really was in the grand scheme of things. We see Thanos and the Celestials battle one another by using fucking solar systems as projectiles. If the movie version showed even a fraction of the power the comics one had, Carol would have been turned into a frog with just a thought.
As almost all other characters did. She just showed up for 2 minutes in final battle, no explanation, no build up for her showing up. You can clearly see writers wanted her as little on screen as possible and treated her as something forced into a movie so they turned her into a joke she actually is.
There were 2 cuts for this movie. One had Captain Feminism almost completely cut out and this version is one they showed. Thank god.
That what happens when you "introduce" person whos OP for no reason, did nothing to get where she is.
Just look at this shit like this: see how much less powerful characters had to do and sacrifice in order to get where they are. And then there is Carol that did nothing to be that powerful, has biggest ego in MCU and her own dedicated movie did NOTHING to make her likable to non-feminazi audience. TLDR; She is so shallow she is not a human despite being homo sapiens.
>can somebody help work this out, i'm a bit of a brainlet.
It's not your fault, user. If anything, you're easily smarter than the people who made this movie simply because you're asking these questions. They clearly didn't.
Cap goes to alternate cube past, lives a full life with peggy as Tony said, returns to "616" as and old man to explain shit to Sam and give him the shield, Bucky already knew he would do that
>I could've sworn this was the way it worked in the movie
That's the way it work, people are just acting like it doesn't because it helps their shitposting.
Characters who said alternative realities were created during the movie:
>Hulk
>Nebula
>The Ancient One
>Thanos
Personally i thought the initial dialogue was enough (so, it is not like Back to the Future?!), but apparently it wasn't.
Except successful
It has controversial points, but it's nowhere near as bad as TLJ was
Cap is a time traveler. If he changes events in the past, his original him never knows they need changing in the first place so he never changes them. Therefore the only the version of him that can exist is the one which does not meddle with history.
>even trying to compare onions wars into actually well written movie with few plotholes with can be easily explained, that didn't choose easy and obvious solution for its story
I don't like it but it's a compromise. The gauntlet turning Thanos into God will pretty much be unwinnable since the cosmic entitites were barely touched upon. I also don't like how the Infinity Gauntlet ended either tbqh. I just wished they were creative with what Thanos did when he used it. I don't like the restriction though. I think it's stupid that Thanos has to close his fist to use the Gauntlet. It made me roll my eyes when he had to take out the power stone to deal with Carol.
he could go the the ancient one and after proving he is from the future he could get lern magic nnd used time stone to help people by sending them the the future after the big battle so people would think that they are dead as they soupose to be but they would be happy and alive in the far future
How would you write this movie without time travel of any kind?
Last Jedi doesnt have plot holes. it has bad creative decisions
this movie has both
>why not just use that and save the particles for say some sort of emergency that could arise?
Strange was the only one who knew how to use it and he was dusted.
Guys, the whole point of returning infinity stones to exact moment they were taken out was to make timelines not branching out and events play as they did. Time travel doesn't follow same exact rules in every movie, this was pointed out in this one few times.
Adapt Infinity Gauntlet, They fight Thanos in space and he ends up defeating himself as always when Nebula fucks with the gauntlet and he has to team up with the heroes
The whole galaxy trying to take away the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos. Also add Lady Death as his real motivation since culling 50% only delays the inevitable and doesn't make complete sense.
>Last Jedi doesnt have plot holes
Am i being baited? It has. It has new ones as well as ones that this saga has from it's the first movie.
Kylo being able to murder a mind reader is a plothole
Oh yeah, you're right. Still, if they could figure out how to undust people, how to dust people, I'm sure they could have put the time stone into a gauntlet and operated it just fine.
>doesn't make complete sense
isn't that why he's the mad titan?
Why didn't he return inside the platform of the quantum machine then? It felt like the scene was implying that old cap was there all along, which also implies he time traveled within his own timeline, not an alternative? Am I missing something? Or was it just filmed to be deceptive for dramatic effect rather than imply any of the assumptions I just made.
>Guys, the whole point of returning infinity stones to exact moment they were taken out was to make timelines not branching out and events play as they did.
But they branched anyway. They literally had Thanos out of the past and killed him.
Me: Oh wow infinty war was so good! The implications of thanos winninh are gigantuos. We will have stories for years!
Commandet Riker: Its a fabrication made up by our writers.
>Loki was handle just like the rest of the time-fuckery: off-screen.
And this is where your dumbfuckery reveal itself. Where and when was it settled?
He is but Infinity War constantly makes it look like he's sane. End Game, on the other hand, makes him a stereotypical villain.
Wasn't GOTG 3 supposed to happen before Endgame? I wonder if it would tie in with this movie, maybe with Adam Warlock taking the Captain Jobber's role.
The dusting still requires the power of all of the stones.
We already know you don't need a platform to travel from the movie itself, when they go in the 70's.
It was always going to be undone. I just didn't expect them to do it in the laziest way possible.
>Where and when was it settled?
It seems you do not know the meaning of "off-screen" do you want me to explain to you ?
And controversial =/= infamously bad. Lots of people like Cap's ending, it's the weird subset of fans this time saying it's bad instead of the other way around.
But you don't need all of them to operate an individual stone and the gauntlet seems to work on intent and intuition, so it's likely they could figure it out so long as they have a working gauntlet.
Using the stone itself may be difficult, but not with a vessel.
You can't. When you have something called the Time Stone time travel will always be a part of it.
>fans
don't confuse sperg shitposters with "fans"
they are trying to make this the new "why didn't thanos doubles the resources?!" when the movie clearly states that you can't change the past.
>Lots of people like Cap's ending
In the "he didn't die" sense
Not in the "he tanked 90 years of HYDRA shit like a bitch" sense
His ending is retarded and out of character if you give it more than one second of thought. Most people don't care, and that's fine really, but that doesn't make it good.
Those "lots of people" are general audience/casuals who don't bother to use their brain for more than 10 seconds to realized what's fucked about it.
>use their brain for more than 10 seconds
so like you, retarded enough to not understand Cap went to a different timeline?
>hurr durr everything is settled of-screen
>hurr durr plotholes settled
The more people defend this movie the more retarded they reveal themselves. Not only do you have past Thanos going into the present timeline leaving the GOTG 1 timeline hanging, you also have a mad god with a magic time stone on the loose with no hint whatsoever that it was settled.
Returning the infinity stone effectively erased those timelines from existence.
not as big as the way time travel works here
He clearly didn't go to a different timeline when we literally see his older self handing off the shield to Sam after everything thats happened.
The problem is that it's out of character for steve. Hes not content sitting on his laurals, not for his country and certainly not for bucky.
It's not a different timeline, it's a closed time loop. Steve was Peggy's husband the entire time.
gee i wonder how he did it, if only he left his time with a device that let him travel whenever in time and space he wanted.
>everytime they talk about time travel in the movie they say travelling in the past creates a new timeline
>lol no it's a loop because i say so
returning the stones saved that timeline, or do you think the Ancient One was suicidial when she gave up the stone with the promise to get it back? After she said she can't risk her NEW timeline to Hulk?
I loved incel Thanos
for all we know, he might have created a utopia in the timeline he went to.
The thing is, he also gave his word to Tony to not take away from him his daughter. If he changed the timeline, he would do so.
Also, the whole "everyone die if you alter the timeflow" shtick.
It's also in his character to throw everybody over for Bucky, and I can't honestly imagine him letting the Winter Soldier program continue.
You realize that makes Steve inaction to prevent everything terrible that happens even worse? He if he's in another timeline and not the original it shouldn't matter. Fix and prevent everything that happens so no one suffers like in the original.
>spoilers being deleted
Hol up isn't this whole thread supposed to be spoilers?
1. he know Bucky get better in the end
2. altering the timeline lead to everyone's destruction.
Trouble with that is they've now abandoned a universe where thanos won right?
>if he's in another timeline and not the original it shouldn't matter
He isn't, or he wouldn't get to become old in the OG timeline.
It saved the timeline by returning it to the main timeline and pretty much cutting off the branch timeline from the point the infinity stone was taken.
He was Cap all along.
Thereās literally not with how stupid this time travel shit is explained
>Hey Fury you remember that time Hydra imfiltrated Shield and I could've done something to stop them. That was a good moment
>Bucky remember that time you killed Stark's parents and I could've stopped and saved you from Hydra.
Except they change the past on a few occasions. The movie says one kind of time travel then throws in split timelines and a bunch of other crap. Even without that shit cap is now in a terrible situation, he has to either sit by letting atrocities happen, or constantly try and fail to stop the worse events in human history.
It's his own personal hell.
My hope was past-Captain America movies, but Evans is not shooting any more movies. So that's fucked.
This guy from the series?
What did you guys think of 30 year old Boomer Thor? I liked how he didn't magically become less thiccc but what can Thor 4 do with him?
>not realising that Bucky was aware
This opens up a potential dramatic confrontation in their Disney+ show.
>Sam: Did you know?
>Bucky: ...
>Sam: DID YOU KNOW?
>Bucky: Sam...he's my friend.
>Sam: So was I.
Why didnāt he?
What DD was pretty happy guy at one time... then things changed...
>Did they allow multiple timelines to go to shit?
One timeline was altered minorly. Clint's kid is missing a glove.
One timeline had their Thanos and Nebula killed, and their Gamora displaced. Probably a good result since Xandar is still probably fine complete with their Nova Corps.
One timeline is up in the air because their Loki has the space stone now.
And the prime timeline now has OldManRogers who did nothing but hide in the shadows while everything else happened.
You said he created a new timeline when he went back to Peggy.
Heh.
He already altered history by staying behind. Literally a Man Out of Time.
Not only that. He knew that SHIELD, which Peggy was HEAD of and worked for, was infiltrated by HYDRA. He was ok with that?
See even you two can't agree what kind of time travel it was.
>past twenty years
That's not The Force Awakens, user.
Dramatic effect
Cap probably traveled back to "616" days earlier to set this scene up
Would you have preferred that in a last fight Cap sacrifices himself to allow Tony to use gems and Tony sends him in the past, in an alternative timeline ?
Miserable Elsa netted Disney one billion dollars.
It's a Legend of Zelda split timeline shitshow
The next Guardians movie could just happen after a timeskip where they've been looking for Gamora, with Thor losing the gut but not being completely ripped, if Hemsworth wants to stop training every day.
Then some Cap goes to that timeline, changes his name to Carter, fucks a broad and then shits one out.
when Peter gives Carol the gauntlet she could have snapped and ended the battle
This entire thread is why introducing time travel into a 11 year, 22 movie universe and just in general is retarded shit guaranteed to fuck everything up.
Endgame confirming that Cap doesn't actually care about certain someone is absolutely the best part about it.
>Hemsworth wants to stop training every day.
I thought that by now he had decided to stay ultra fit forever.
Why didn't Peter sacrifice himself to end the fight, would he have?
So, who do you think had it worse in Endgame? Thor, Tony, Widow (it's funny how hardly anyone care about what happened to her) or someone else?
Heroic sacrifice needed to go to Tony, that's the cpnple ti on of hi arc as a self centered bastard and echoes his origin with Jinsen in the cave
I would go back and organize a bunch of random muslim parties on several NYC rooftops right before the planes hit.
You never know, at some point he might decide that he's sick of the lifting and injections.
This, he even sells a fitness routine
Because he already died in IW. It would stupid as hell to kill him, bring him back just to kill him again.
Tony, he should have turned Thanos into ribbons or bubbles then gone looking for Hulk
Carol would not have died
he could have just "Sacrificed" any soul
because the film never establishes any of that. it's the same logic as the guy who keeps claiming Cap and Sharon never fucked because we never see it onscreen. We don't see something onscreen, we can't assume it happens.
but the Avengers could just use the stones again to revive him
>could have had multiverse story, with the quantum realm just being connected to every universe, and the heroes having to go and steal the stones from other universes, getting into fights to get them in some places
>no, let's go with time-travel that'll fuck everything up
Introducing time-travel into any kind of story at all is guaranteed to cause logic problems if you stop to think about the events of the plot.
Still, I can't help but love time-travel stories. There's something interesting about them even if they're impossible, nonsensical and often convoluted.
>No, he can return to any place and time as long as he has the wristband and pym particle
How do you know that? All instances of returning have been on platforms. Including Scott at the start who returned to the van.
Can't say for certain, she is totally not as OP as they said on press, she is hardly above Hulk and Thor for a second before Thanos trashes her
If they couldn't do it for Tony then they couldn't do it for Peter either.
Becusa they already do it in the same movie, like how they travel from battle of NY to 70s HydraShield facility in order to get another Tesseract and more Pym particles
>You took everything from me
>I don't even know who you are
Thanos confirmed based in every timeline
That's Not Really Any Different
He deserved to win, Thanos wiped the floor with the Avengers like 3 times
but why didn't they do it, is it some we can't use Spiral power to revive dead people because atrophy shit?
>it's funny how hardly anyone care about what happened to her
Untrue. Banner suffers pretty much and even tries to bring her back. Everyone else simply doesn't have the time to cry, but Clint was quite devastated.
>who do you think had it worse in Endgame?
Thor in general. The fat thor was funny and coherent, but I would have appreciated more if he had used the Ant-man's technology to get again fit and full power once he talked to his mother and he had settled himself mentally.
yep, it's a bit cheating, but they had that technology available, so why not?
I meant the fans since hardly anyone talking about it.
Disagree. I dislike the whole cap ending thing because of the ramifications WHEN you start thinking about it. But on the surface, it's fine.
Nothing like Jake Skywalker.
And sure, Carol is forced and so was that cringy A-force moment, but nothing like THE FORCE IS FEMALE.
Because some people don't use the catalog and can still see posts from page 1. Also, until staff have seen the movie and won't get butthurt about it being spoiled, there's a higher risk than normal of spoiler bans
You know that altering the timeline cause everyone's destruction, right ?
TLJ is unsalvageable
AE it's only guilty of the plot always moving in favour of fanservice moments, and using time travel story with no Kang instead of adapting Infinity Gauntlet
I am not the user you quoted first. He didn't create a new timeline.
Just because one user didn't get it right doesn't prove anything. The movie make it quite clear that there must not be an alternate timeline.
That's not cannon anymore.
wait I thought Wind Waker was the failure timeline
>AE it's only guilty of the plot always moving in favour of fanservice moments,
This. it's a huge final tribute to ten years of stories, even at the expense of the quality of the film itself. they did it consciously and as a ending, it works.
Still, it could have been a great movie, rather than just a good ending.
It was.
Endgame is a lot like Metal Gear Solid 4, and because of that it will suffer of shitposting and controversial arguments for decades
It made sense. It was 2014 Thanos after all. He wasn't as wise as his 2018 self.
but if he died future Thanos should not exist
>TLJ is unsalvageable
-Actually save most of the resistance people. Reducing them from hundred to a few dozen was fucking horrible
-Make the general realise the Poe's BS earlier and use it to her advantage to obtain infos from the Hacker, instead of having just Poe literally ruining her escape plan resulting in the death of most of her soldiers
-Use the Light Speed tracker (a device established as newly developped) as an anchor point for her own ship as to how she could manage a precise short-distance lightspeed jump, thus explaining why it wasn't used before.
The movie is good, now.
>It turns out you can't actually destroy one because they just reform somewhere after some time. So we can still have a time skip. So they set out to re-get the stones, and maybe so does Thanos.
This would have been so much better.
Why the mods are triggered fools? He didn't say anything bad to justify deleting his posts.
It Wind Waker wasn't. It's just that it didn't have the hero anymore as it was stuck in an other timeline.
Thanos II
That had Tony, the dude who invented the tech, fiddle with shit. Steve surely doesn't have him now.
Y'know, Kang would have been a perfect post-credits for this.
>Voice over while Steve and Peggy are sleeping: You meager beings thought you could play with time? You have no idea what you have done...
So, Cap being there in 2023 is fine. It just means he didn't change the timeline he was in enough to deviate from the one that everyone else was in.
What doesn't make sense is where he got the shield. Presumably he borrowed it from somewhere else in the timeline, but then who returns it?
Unless Howard made another somehow.
WTF I just got spoiler-warninged? I thought this was a spoiler thread? So we have to spoiler everything spoiley?
All the world events of MCU still happen, including all the real life shit sprinkled in there.
>Hydra infiltrated SHIELD while using Bucky as their fucktoy
>Cap didn't do shit
Didn't Falcon say that it didn't feel like his and Captain said it is? Maybe he made Howard make the shield or some shit?
Maybe it is the long game. Let groups like Hydra and Kree take over the decimated universe and let them run things. If they decided to come and atomize him out of spite. Sure they can as long they dont undo the damage which they wont because their whole motif is to rule over ashes vs living with their enemies
Yes, I still don't understand why not include the traditional stinger when it's clear the MCU will continue as Disney demands it
>Go to 10pm session
>Someone bought babies with them
>The babies are crying during several of the emotional scenes
He had 70 years to order a new shield or a quick fix from Stark Sr. And Wakanda
>Cap
>serving in 'Nam
That would take the movies to another level of shit.
I actually got lucky and only had a kid on my cinema, who was very well behaved until stark died and cap got old, them he became a crying mess, I actually felt bad for him
I assume they had the space-time locations pre-programmed by Scott/Bruce instead of Steve having to re-adjust every time.
It had to be Steve because of Mjolnir. No, you can't trust Thor.
Iron Loli fanart when?
y'know, that also reminded me. The shield is supposed to be fucking unbreakable, even by Thanos without stones. It should have stayed intact when he was hitting Steve.
What's crazy is Steve may have actually made sure hydra infiltrates shield, knowing that it's the only way to win
It's funny how they hardly around when we get spammers and nsfw content, but they are suddenly super active in Endgame spoiler threads.
ironLoli x antLoli x hawkLoli threesome please
This was honestly my thoughts immediately after watching Endgame. They need a 70s era movie with in Nam. Or maybe a SHIELD team with Hank and Jan (which would make sense, all things considered, as neither of them really struck me as operatives SHIELD would have sent on missions). Who else can we pull besides Castle, assuming no mutants? It would be an odd time for Namor to suddenly show up, but I could see it.
>The shield is supposed to be fucking unbreakable
Adamantium is the unbreakable stuff. Vibranium is broken all the time, it's just real sturdy.
The shield was the strongest metal on Earth. I assume the galaxy has stronger metal available, on top of the technomagic his weapon would presumably also have.
I hate how powerlevels do not exist in this universe
Tony can create technology as advanced and even more in some ways than Infinity Gauntlet itself, yet weapons like Stormbreaker which in previous films were already shown to be so powerful that they can withstand infinity blast could not damage Thanos WITHOUT the stones.
There is no consistency.
The shield is supposed to be an adamantium-vibranium alloy, isn't it? 616 at least. That's why it's so irreplaceable - it's not just something Wakanda can cook up.
>implying committing incest with hot women isn't chad
Thor's powers are seemingly linked to his psyche. Ragnarok made that pretty clear. It makes perfect sense that Thor would not be performing at his best, regardless of his weapon.
>"DonĀ“t alter the main timeline".
Kills 2014 Thanos & his entire army.
how strong is Thanos in the comics? he fucking wiped the floor with the big 3 and would've won again
It's not StormBreaker's fault. I think it's Thor's fault, heavily out of shape and unable to use his new hammer/axe to the best of its power.
>Tony can create technology as advanced and even more in some ways than Infinity Gauntlet itself
This. Fucking Starkwank. That gauntlet had to be made by the galaxy's best weaponsmiths. Fucking dwarves that used a fucking heart of a dying star for their forge. And it was probably made of some uru-like metal as well.
And then here comes IronGod and makes a new AND BETTER one just like that. Just like time travel technology that Hank and others have been working on for decades, then here comes IronGod and WANK time-GPS!!!
It's bullshit.
There's no adamanitum in the MCU, it's just some inferior vibranium alloy that Howard Stark cooked up with some of the few ounces of vibranium he got his hands on. It can totally be replaced, probably even improved by Wakandan technology.
He'll suit up again just to beat falcon for being the worst captain America
and then goes back in time AND STAYS THERE
that dude got shot and his leg amputated in a battle that happened the year before Cap supposedly saved Peggy's future husband
>Banner says quantum realm technology is out of his wheelhouse, despite having gotten his powers from fucking around with an infinity stone
>but apparently Stark, the guy who's just a super-engineer building suits, is now the planet's foremost expert in quantum technology
That was such a fucking huge waste to not bring in a new cosmic character that could be the expert they needed. Someone Nebula had heard of, maybe. Hell, if they'd gotten the right to the FF sooner then it would have been the perfect time to find them out in space and ask Reed for advice. Anything but making Stark of all people the quantum expert.
In the comic he physically defeated Thor, the Thing and Hulk without the gems, besides that, he's also a space mad scientist equipped with all kinds of technology, like barriers able to withstand a medium shot of Galactus teleportation and other optional.
He also have an heat vision like the one of Superman, which in the film doesn't seem to have.
Of course this is the modern/90s Thanos, the one of the origins, was a joke.
This is fucking retarded, the whole board was being spammed with spoilers last night. Mods are a fucking joke, as usual - but hey, at least we know that all the janitors and mods had their experiences ruined. That's nice to know.
Do you fucking retards understand the basic concept of a family tree at all? Do you know what the word "Niece" means?
Maybe her mistake is thinking Strange is their best when he did little in the final fight and let Tony sacrifice himself in the end without taking some shots on Thanos.
Yfw Thanos goes full Pucci.
Cap is the best all-round fighter the avengers have, he's always gone further than his "powers" should let him because of how good he uses his fighting skills instead of just punching things really hard like Thor or Ant-Man. With Thor being out of shape, not believing in himself and all-round depressed for five years I'm sure Cap could appear to be around his level with Mjolnir. Cap spent the fight dodging blows and then got fucked when hit. Thor didn't give a fuck about that and just went all in.
>Or maybe a SHIELD team with Hank and Jan
>Cap, real Ant-Man and Wasp
Sounds like almost another Avengers movie in the making. Who else, Herc if they don't wanna use Thor? T'Chaka maybe?
...actual 70s Power Man and Iron Fist with legit 70s attire doing a cameo????????
I personally believe that Thanos genuinely worships the universe, but hates all those who live there, considering them parasites.
yo who was that literal who twink on Tony's funeral?
At least they didn't bring back le wacky meme dwarf
The kid from Iron Man 3? My only guess.
movie Thanos was a mistake
oh shit is he gonna be iron lad?
Instead its "the villain we've spent a decade building up is actually retarded"
Darth Vader of a New Generation my fucking ass.
naah, he was great in IW. And after all, he still a villan, a ego maniac.
Did Ganke get dusted the first time around? If he did, then why did he and Peter have a tearful reunion? It'd be like nothing had happened to them. If he DID, then why the fuck was he still in school? Why the fuck did they do the Peter/Ganke reunion and not Peter/May?
I really like how they didn't waste any time and fucked Thanos up immediately at the start
>past thanos dumb
>future thanos smart
Endgame was a mistake
I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm super excited to find out what this scene meant
Fuck off.
It means that Thanos likes a good fight.
Ohh, I didn't even think about Herc. That would be a good call, although the power level might be a bit strong if this is a SHIELD-level team. Same with Wonder Man or Ghost Rider, who would otherwise be good 70s callbacks.
If Netflix-verse is uncanonized, then absolutely Power Man and Iron Fist. Maybe Moon Knight? Tigra.
Oh... I mean I guess that works but he didn't really seem to be enjoying it in Infinity War
>If Netflix-verse is uncanonized
My friend said that Daredevil's friend was in the group therapy scene, but I'm not sure if that was just him being retarded.
future Thanos is supposed to be dead
>which we know from avengers 1 makes you evil and weird.
That was just Loki making them like that, wasn't it? I thought it was just a handy mind-erase.
SCOTT YOU FUCKING IDIOT WHY DID YOU LET MY TECHNOLOGY NEAR A STARK
stan lee cameo is almost as bad as spider-man 2
>reeeeeeellllaaaaax, he's dead.
You friend was being retarded. There are no connections to the TV shows in endgame. Hell it made Agent Carter non canon. The shows are non canon.
So he just lets Hydra happen all the way just telling himself every night "If I don't somehow this will lead to Thanos winning eventhough changing the past won't change the future"
He was at Tony's funeral, I assume he's a bit less pissy about Starks now that Tony saved the universe.
They hadn't planned that far in advance. The comic version of Thanos is more crazy and really enjoys fighting, so that first scene was probably supposed to be more comic-accurate, then they decided to change his personality in Infinity War.
sorry mods
anyone else really thinking the whole 2012 new york sequence was just to set up potential new villains etc?
>2012 loki disappeared with time stone. excuse to keep him alive for thor 4 or whatever
>future cap hails hydra to fake actual hydra out, they now think he's /theirguy/. is then forced to use the sceptor on present cap, which we know from avengers 1 makes you evil and weird.
so alive loki and hydra cap confirmed for future movies?
maybe, but i don't think we have any specific reason to think that. obviously it involved explicit use of the mind stone. and iirc when that scientist guy was possessed by it, he kept talking about all the knowledge the sceptor gave him etc. the mind stone is obviously related to making you evil and weird
No Hydra, no Wanda. No Wanda, arguably no Ultron. No Ultron, no etc. etc. etc. etc.
If you change the past of your own timeline you absolutely break the future of your own too.
Thanos is stronger than literally all of those and he still jobbed, the rest of cosmic will probably be nerfed so Carol stomps them too.
It's possible, but Evans seems real done with the project, and you just know they had to pay a truckload to get Natalie to appear for a cameo. I would not surprised if Evans asked "more money than you paid Downey"
>Thanos is stronger than literally all of those and he still jobbed
obviously not in the mcu
Final fight takes in 2024.
Phase four also ends in 2024[.
What did they mean by this?spoiler]
>30 year old
>Boomer
You know these two are mutually exclusive right?
But Banner literally said "killing Baby Thanos will not stop the snap [and therefore logically everything else] from happening"
>Overshadowing everyone else
What? Wanda owned Thanos till the ship's missiles intervened.
>baby thanos
anyone else thought of baby kang? kek vision was crazy
Alright, so what the fuck can they do from here? They really going to set up another three phases? Who do they have left and what can they do? Boomer Thor as Asgardians of the Galaxy? Black Panther, Spiderman, do they have anyone else people actually give a shit about? How are they upping the stakes at this point or slowly leading to another ending?
>he doesn't know
Lurk moar
I just remembered Herc is supposed to be a Eternal in the MCU though or something, so fuck that noise if it gets brought up. :(
Internet boomers
>Thanos doesn't destroy the Infinity Stones and instead hides them in some fortified armor
>Surviving Avengers split into teams, one confronting Thanos as a distraction so the other steals the Stones
>They succeed but Thanos escapes
>Bring the gauntlet back to Earth
>Thanos attacks the headquarters with his full might
>Stark dies snapping Thanos and his army away
>Cap also dies, everyone else survives.
Best I could think of, but that leaves no special role for Ant-Man.
How could the Quantum Realm be integrated?
>spoiler thread
>mods deleting posts
what did they mean by this
He's not in it.
Yes he is
well i mean it's not like disney doesn't have the money for it. also would create an immediately compelling villain for the new falcon cap
just seemed like an odd set of events to just be glossed over. future cap could've easily just knocked present cap out in a more usual way. having him use the sceptor on him just as a means to win the fight just seems odd, especially right after that interaction with hydra
>Thor is too strong
>I know let's make him into an old drunken boomer
To be honest kinda sad. Yeah yeah I realize it wouldn't have a fun finale if Thor cut Thanos' head off again and then blew up the ship, but still.
Also I think it can be reasonably said that Steve ages slower.
Endgame is 2023, Avengers was 11 years earlier. At his youngest Steve was probably 18.
>18 + 11 = 29
>1943 - 2023 = 80 years
109 year old Steve at the minimum. He's pretty healthy to not need a cane and be able to carry that shield around.
That reverse elevator scene was so good.
I just thought Thor would go to Hel and fight his sister to get Loki back
Banner. He's a freak of nature now and lost the ability to masturbate.
So last year's leaks prove that Cap was meant to die at some point wielding Mjolnir against Thanos.
Wonder if test-audiences are what made Marvel change their minds on it.
Also, Another Avengers was meant to die, either Thor, Hulk or Barton.
I wonder who. My bet is on Thor. They probably changed it because Taika and Hemsworth are game for THOR 4.
Disagree. He can outsmart them (except maybe for Magus(?)) to get the upper hand like he already did with the Surfer, but stronger than a top tier Herald, Annihilus or Magus(?)? Probably not.
Nope. It was all speculation, and alas, it was off the mark.
Thor will just be constantly training in the background for most of Guardians 3 and he'll entirely disappear in the 3rd act only to reappear and 1 shot the villain after Quill makes a speech that they all need to take him on at the same time because they're not strong enough alone.
nah, Thor will face Adam and job but not die.
its a way of showing the normals how strong Adam is
youtube.com
the cast without Brie

*does nothing*
more like stops a water
>Casey goes from looking like 11 at the oldest to looking 20+ in 5 years
WEW
>Sanctum Sanctorum appears on the screen
>Doctor Strange's theme starts playing
This made me unexpectedly happy. About time they started using themes from the other movies.
Thanos could have hidden the gauntlet in the Quantum Realm, and Scott has to lead, I don't know, Cap, Stark, Romanoff, Barton, Banner there while Thor, Carol, Rocket, Nebula and Rhodes fight Thanos.
>that cringy A-force moment
I like to think that they were paying tribute to Nat as the only female of the OG6.
>okay we made Thor old and fat, how do we get rid of the other guy who could possibly beat Thanos
>WATER
Just have him fight the black order members what the fuck
I'd like to add:
>Cap and Tony wielding the gauntlet together, with Cap supporting the weight whilst Tony snaps, dying as the bros they were always meant to be but were never fucking shown to be
How the fuck did they get Robert Redford back? That came out of nowhere.
Also, antmen theme started to play at one point. I think it was after he got brought back.
desuarchive.org
>Iron Man reassembles the Avengers and decides to build his own Infinity Gauntlet to undo everything that Thanos did. They recruit Ant-Man to help them travel through time and space using the Quantum Real to retrieve the Infinity Stones from different time periods. Thanos finds out about their plans and becomes hellbent on stopping them.
>The movie revolves around the relationship between Captain America and Iron Man.
>At one point, Captain America and Thor fight Thanos. Timeline alterations have restored Mjolnir, and Cap wields it against Thanos to allow the others to escape, and is killed holding Thanos off.
>At one point, Hawkeye must protect the unfinished Stark Gauntlet from Thanos' minions. He plays an "instrumental" role in Thanos' defeat.
>Thor's subplot centers on him assembling an army to challenge Thanos. Captain Marvel joins him.
>Hulk's subplot centers on Banner and Hulk finally merging to become Professor Hulk. He is the one that ultimately wields the Stark Gauntlet against Thanos, losing his arm in the process.
>Nebula's subplot centers on her efforts to redeem herself. At one point, she fights her murderous past self.
>Several MCU movies are revisited and retconned (probably not permanently), such as the Avengers retrieving the Power Stone creating a timeline where the Guardians of the Galaxy never came together.
>There's a pivotal scene between Doctor Strange and a fully CGI character being shot on a secret location, with a skeleton crew, and which takes up a sizeable portion of the budget.
>Only two of the original Avengers (Cap, Stark, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow) meant to survive the movie. Cap dies.
i'm pretty sure tony literally had to be told that this was the one winning timeline in order to actually try to get the stones from thanos. so in a way, he did a lot
I thought that Strange would do some water bending stuff and throw the water at Thanosās minions.
>One timeline was altered minorly
you mean like Loki escaping with the Tesseract?
>at the time thought those sounded kinda lame
>now i just wish that'd happened
What the fuck, they're actually pretty accurate.
So what happened to Sharon? Did she ever found out she got cucked by her 100 year old aunt?
Daily reminder that time travel is bar none the WORST plot device in any medium, especially if it involves multiple timelines/universes at once
Fuck time travel, there is no other kind of story that is as cosmically pointless and masturbatory as it is, and no other kind of story with as big a record of narrative flops as it does, because you either end up with boring ass predestination paradox shit or a labyrinth of unanswered questions and inconsistencies about how plot beat X makes sense in correlation to time travel element Y
> 109 year old Steve at the minimum. He's pretty healthy to not need a cane and be able to carry that shield around.
Serum gives him a little more longevity than normal?
Also, he was born in 1918, according to the movies.
We'll never know because the Russo's knew they fucked up and proceeded to sweep her under the rug.
Instead of using the quantum realm for time travel, use it for collecting the fragments of the infinity stones and recreating them after Thanos destroys them.
why did antman give tony stark ptsd?
No, read his post more carefully. That user addressed the Tesseract one as the third item on his list. The minor change timeline was the one where the glove was taken to the future.
I didn't really think about it until reading that post, but now I kinda want to see some fanfic about a timeline where the loss of that glove leads to some kind of ridiculous "for want of a nail" butterfly effect with massive consequences.
mods are castrated corporate slaves these days when it comes to papa disney. Probably have funkos all over the place too.
It's kinda pathetic when you know this board only watch cartoons via pirated streams, only read comics via megaupload, and so on. But noooooo papa disney is above the rules of the site, his honour is absolute!
Huh, a lot of it sounds good, except for all the killing off.
>tfw those reddit theories were right in the end
WHAT THE FUCK. So the Russos did just ended 10 years of movies with fanfiction-tier writing? , Kek
the movie was entertaining, but god damn that time travel stuff made no sense and it made everything pointless
I really don't care about the superhero aspect of it, I think that's for kids, I mainly get my enjoyment out of the funny scenes between the characters
Thor with Guardians of the Galaxy is some of the best stuff in those movies, they should put Hulk and Antman on that ship too, alongside Thor, bring Loki back and forget all other characters
what did Tom King mean by this
>only read comics via megaupload
>megaupload
did... did they accidentally fix our timeline
People are going to praise this movie as a masterpiece for months before someone comes out and even tries to point out the plot is dumb
So... Guardians of the Galaxy should actually be just Avengers But in Space now?
yeah I never read things properly
that's what they've always been
maybe because they wanted to make Thanos look more like a final boss, his romance with Death would only make him look like a slave and a cuck
also Deadpool
>Ant-man comes back and tells everyone that they can fabricate Infinity Stones in the Quantum Realm
Done
Because they went,
>durr he has a daughteru instead
Like that is better
>>HUUURRRR DUUUURRR HERO CAN'T HAVE HAPPY ENDING
>Character assasination is ok
Did you ever read a comic? This chance was showed to Steve multiple times and he refused, even with MCU Cap, it's completely out of character.
Gtfo and get your dumb "happy ending" from Hallmark movies you retard
They didn't include any Avengers, unless you count Mantis, who wasn't one in the movies.
I mean they are basically the same thing as the Avengers
They're just Avengers in Space
>no special role for Ant-Man.
Now that would be a crime
This. Cap outright said he's not looking for a happy ending life in Age of Ultron, and sitting around doing nothing while bad things happen around him is not a happy ending for him anyways.
Her rapist
Cap wielding both the shield and Mjolnir against Thanos was the fucking hypest shit ever.
You mean her son?
Mark My Words
He will be the next big bad
Sales, Rogue, Mystique
wtf you just spoiled the movie for me, don't use that quote dumbass
The stones are the one changing the timelines. If you take away a stone from a point in time then an alternative timeline is created. That's why Cap at the end of the movie needs to return them to each point where they were taken.
What I don't fucking understand is if the snapped people returned to a point before the snap or lived post the time skip.
Post skip is what I lean into since you have Scott and Hope with grow-up Cassie.
But then again, you have Peter returning to school what means Ned was also snapped PLUS all the spider-man cast (if you take the trailer of the next movie in consideration).
In other words, like time travel always does... it makes no fucking sense.
>the soldier retires
>the civilian does what it needs to be done and dies
i think they just kinda popped back where they all were as soon as hulk snapped. there's that little moment where peter talks to tony for a second and implies that he felt getting dusted for a sec and then suddenly just woke up in the same spot five years later
I think it's pretty safe to not refer to Tony as a "Civilian" in the aftermath of Iron Man 1 and onwards
>be on a flight at the time
>get dusted
>get undusted
>fall thousands of metres to your death
So am I the only one happy for him despite the implications?
LOL
>Strange was the only one who knew how to use it
Thanos didn't seem to have any trouble and I seriously one stone is more complicated than an entire gauntlet
Tony was a civilian, despite his enormous power. Private citizen, refused to be beholden to the army, refused to be called a soldier. He'd be more comparable to royalty/a powerful politician on an actual level, though, considering the power he wields.
>>the soldier retires
Well as Tony says in Avengers 1, "We're not soldiers."
bucky should have went back in time and steve gives the shield to falcon and fucks off like wolverine
>Having a stroke
>Gets dusted mid-stroke
>Comes back
>Die right after because of the stroke anyways
This. Why aren't we talking about it. Yeah we knew it was gonna happen but it was so damn cool
That seriously surprised me as well, damn.
Hydra Upraising when?
Because there's more interesting things to talk about. Wait for later tonight and more people will bring it up.
>be me
>masturbating like a champion and about to climax
>get dusted
>family moves out
>new family moves in
>get undusted
>my room is now used by a 6-year-old girl
>sponge on the back of her head
>she cries
>parents walk in
>OH FUCK OH FUCK WHO ARE YOU GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?
>get arrested anyway for sex offences
because most people haven't seen it yet.
wait until tonight then it will be nothing but praise and no more of this nitpicky bs from people on Yea Forums who only read spoiler threads.
What's the after credits scene lads
There is none
They all popped back where they were, yes. But after that, after Tony's funeral what happens to them?
Clint can still live with their family in the post-snap timeline (5 years after snap) since they didn't aged at all.
Hope and Scott seem to do the same as they are hugging grow-up Cassie.
But what about Peter? if he returns to school then he does 5 years later with new people and all that. That's not a problem, but Ned is there and so is the rest of Spider-man gang (because spiderman far from home show us so). SO, my point being, does that means Peter remained in this post-snap timeline? Did he returned to before the snap (that probably didn't happen as Cap returned the stones)?
Is Far from Home just another timeline?!
I AM CONFUS
I am too, and I get that he couldnāt interfere, you do that, and butterfly effect happens, he got to wield Mjolnir, be with the woman he loved and live a pretty long life. He made the human choice
This, besides the buddy show with Falcon,he's barely going to be used now, the Russos should've at least spare him his Winter soldier fate and given him 40's pussy
sorry champ, gotta wait until Far From Home to find out the future.
>Gets dusted
>Five years later, someonde haooened to stand in the same place you were dusted
>Gets undusted
>Spongebob teleport episode.
To be fair, only Peter, MJ, Ned, Betty and Flash are coming back from the first movie. All the other kids from Homecoming are gone and replaced with a new cast of teens.
So they can easily claims Peter, MJ, Ned, Betty and Flash conveniently got dusted and are now completing high school.
yeah him swinging it like thor as the music swells triggered my inner autistic 8-year-old pretty hard. and strange telling stark exactly what he needs to do just by lifting a finger was honestly pretty powerful
the climax was so fanservicey and such a retcon of infinity war. but damn was it done right
Yes, thought so too. I mean, it is quite CONVENIENT as you put it, but not impossible at all...
>this garbage with make a gorillion dollars
>while Shazam, an actually good movie with heart, underperformed
Cope, Zachary.
I think still that Shazam should have been far away from the DCU and maybe the start of a new series or something.
Even if it is a great movie it still carries the taint of the piece of shit that the DCU is to this day.
At least we got a sequel
keep crying Dkek
and you'll cry again when Far From Home makes Based Marvel it's THIRD billion dollar movie this year and Joker and The Kitchen bomb hard. Then Birds of Prey will bomb and we'll never have to suffer another shitty DC movie in theaters again!
Craft beats heart most of the time.
If that's the case then why did Ganke and Peter tear up and have that reunion? For them it wouldn't have more than a day since they last talked, and neither would have had much reason to miss the other in that time.
Think about it, he didnāt spend the 90 years in.the main timeline. He likely went back to 1944-1945 in another timeline (because of how ātime travelā works in the movie), then spent decades in it, when Peggy died in the other timeline he goes back to the main one to spend his last years.
It makes sense because otherwise he would be something like 105 years okd if he had stayed in the same timeline, and he looks more 80-90 than 100, if he spent say 50-60 other years in the alternate timeline until Peggy dies around the 1990s-2000s, then go back to the main one.
It explains why he doesnāt do shit in the main one
> "The Directors actually listened to dumb audiences" episode
cause they probably saw their friends/family around them get dusted and had that moment of pure despair when they realized it was happening to them. and afterwards, still reeling from the shock of five years suddenly passing
Because they died after all and thanks to some cosmic miracle are alive again?
Maybe they shouldn't have been retarded and released the christmas-movie with a family theme at fucking Christmas, instead of in april to struggle with Endgame.
Honestly, I feel like they rushed this ending. Maybe test audiences fucked up the original ending but how much more better would it be if
>Cap has to sacrifice his love for Peggy through sacrificing her image/memories with the soul stone effectively closing his arc as a man stuck in the past, out of time, holding onto things that are gone.
>Both Cap and Iron man die together, wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.
They should have kept Snyder away and stayed the heck away from Nu52 material
DC being retarded is literally what they do best. That's how they got in the position their in now with a dead movie universe, dead streaming service and tv shows getting canceled left and right
>when Peggy died in the other timeline he goes back to the main one to spend his last years.
Then he would have had to come back to the time travel launch pad that Hulk set up. Just accept that they fucked up with their rules. Watching you guys jump through hoops is just sad
You're easy to spot because when you get over excited you make a bunch of grammatical mistakes
I want to rape her, my beautiful queen my Carol
what rules did they set
and what rules did they break
Yep. Also, Peter father-figure dying. Ganke was there to support his friend.
Speaking of the shock. Everyone will have PTSD. The dusted ones knowing they lost 5 years of their life and seeing loved non-dusted ones older. Just like the non-dusted will endured suffering for 5 years so that suddenly the dusties are back.
No one?
Steve ages between 1918 and 1945, then again from 2011 to 2023, and then picks up from 1945 to 2023. By the end of Endgame, he's roughly 117 years old so the super serum must be giving him the physical state of a healthy 75 year old man.
Kang endangers the timeline. It's a bigger threat than just the universe.
Galactus can also be a universe-level threat but unstoppable as a force of nature.
Of course, they can go Annihilation.
And once the X-men come in, here we go with Phoenix AGAIN. Or Age of Apocalypse done right.
Fuck, they probably have this shit planned out all the way until Reed becomes the Maker.
Longevity from the serum, perhaps?
That moment felt kinda hookey, especially with Mantis lining up even though she's useless.
Somewhere around Liam Neeson?
He should single-handedly kick Thanos' ass, then.
That's what he said.
Does Rocket do any cool shit or does he get jobbed?
I'm still confused. Was thanos' snap actually undone timewise to where it never happened, or were the people affected by the snap just brought back?
He does have his moments, don't worry.
Slapping Thor was pretty dope.
She didn't even get an on-screen funeral.
They should have had a private funeral for Nat and then a public memorial/statue-unveiling for Tony.
The latter. The whole time shenanigan orbits around that. They cannot undo Thanos snap or they fuck up their reality, so they went back in time to gather the stones, bring the people back and get the stones back to the time they stole them from.
>Flopzam
>still trying to meme the fact it is "good"
salty tears from someone with shitty tastes.
>literally all discussion on Yea Forums is just crying about this moment
such a Yea Forums-tier shithole. i'm glad nobody's brought it up yet
really though my problem with it is just that it's corny that EXCLUSIVELY the women were getting in on getting the gauntlet to the machine, even though it's like the most important thing happening so more people would realistically be getting in on it.
Can someone tell me why people want Kang as the next BBEG? Don't know too much about him, he seems to be a time traveling conqueror with no powers besides conquering timelines through charisma?
Wind Waker was Adult Linl vanishes back to the past so when Ganon comes back they're fucked. Failure Timeline Link actually died fighting Ganon.
going foward, the only thing that this really makes me want is ryan reynolds to continue his deadpool adaption because most of the mcu leads have no charisma now.
>Shazam
>good
i'm guessing theyre eventually gonna pull a scarlet witch with black panther and have him drop the awkward accent and just talk like the actor does irl. would help a lot and would make sense with him doing more shit outside wakanda
>Deadpool take on the whole Infinity War thing, Lion King 1 1/2 style
I'd be more hyped for that than the real thing.
>no powers besides conquering timelines through charisma
He's from a distant future, and possibly related to Doom. Think about all that tech - say, Stark tech, Kree tech, Skrull tech, maybe artificial cosmic cubes - that could be more common knowledge.
he could also heft Stormbreaker
Widow died in the middle of their mission, there was no time to make her a funeral like with Tony, which happened at the very end. Still the rest of the original avengers felt devastated about her sacrifice. Hulk was angry, Steve in tears, even Thor was in denial refusing to accept her death. And let's not talk about Clint.
sure, maybe. his portrayal in civil war was better than bp, so i'm sure it's the direction as opposed to the actor.
that'd be neat, i wonder how they're gonna work him in though. i'd imagine they would wanna get him in by 21 at the latest since he is such a popular piece.
>Cap returns to Vormyr to return the Soul Stone
>has a philosophical talk with Red Skull about sacrifice
>decides to go back to the present after one final dance with Peggy
>finds the soul stone in his pocket since he sacrificed that which he loved the most
>decides to go off-grid Infinity Watch style to guard the stone, it's now on the other side of the pocketwatch/photo he keeps of Peggy
Also Hulk at the end say he genuinely tried to bring her back when he used the infinity gauntlet.
he's literally the embodiment of ultrahightech=magic
Council of Kangs.
Think Nat and Steve were banging during the 5 year gap?
That would explain running away to the 40s. He basically gets his best friends Sam and Bucky back and leaves them forever the next week? Ouch.
But it's the "younger" Thanos that got dusted, doesn't this undo everything ?
The one thing I would change is Tony figuring out time travel in one day. It would be so much better if he had been working on it for five years and Scott gave him the final piece of the puzzle. Also they could have spend more time figuring out their plan. It's time travel after all you can just do it later.
Technically all of Cap's friends could just visit him by going back in time.
I don't know, i think they just took all the time they needed to me, they even tested it once to see if it works.
let me get this straight
cap goes back in time to be with peggy, this creates an alternate timeline where he marries her, and probably does other stuff like save bucky and the starks. after peggy dies, he returns back to his old timeline and passes the shield on?
It's not Back to the Future.
That Thanos is from a new timeline diverged when past-Nebula glitched.
First thing Pym does after putting on the suit for the first time in thirty years is punch a spacefish
That is correct. Me thinks that instead of being dusted, Thanos and co should have been kicked back to 2014, with Thanos knowing his work was undone and he cannot prevent it.
You're retarded and everyone has seen the flick already. The plot sucked shit and there's no denying that.
Vision got fucked over most
no, but people don't want to accept what really happened
i didnt watch captain marvel, should i do so before watching this one
That's the thing. It IS Back to the Future when it comes to Old Man Rogers, unless you go with the explanation (completely unfounded) that he used the suit to go back to Prime reality after spending x years in alternatePeggy reality.
No, the Prime timeline is constant. Bruce talks about it when Rhodey brings up killing baby Thanos, past cannot be changed. 2014 Thanos was from an AU pulled into the main timeline, so in his timeline, the events of IW won't happen, but they still did here.
Old Man Steve is a time paradox, where he was Peggy's mystery husband all along. So the main timeline is probably an "AU" itself inhabited by old Cap who ventured here after his Endgame.
Kang should have shown up, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING."
No. They hyped it up as something required and important for Endgame but Carol is hardly present.
I thought that was Scott? That was Hank?
I think that's the only way it works for Old Man Rogers, honestly. It explains the shield, too.
No. The tricked people into thinking she was important and she isn't at all
Avengers... Assemble!
so vision does nothing and is just dead?
Just watch the end-credits scene WHERES FURY and you're all set.
the whole "he was peggy's mystery husband all along" is unfounded headcanon that you need to believe in in order to keep this shit logically consistent and you know it.
He's now been disney+'d
alright i'll just skim through a camrip then
except the movie never shows anything about it. it's just one of those theories
Also if that's the case, the shield is now missing from its original timeline. It's a Shield Out of Time.
It was Scott, he's just a silly billy.
imagine being cap's kid in that timeline and wanting to inherit it but then he yoinks it back to the old timeline to give it away
I just realized, Deadpool has Cable's time travel gadget. He can go back and forth at will and be behind any scenes, wondering why they're having so much trouble.
Imagine how fun a Cap & Deadpool movie could be, too, if Evans were up for it..
>except the movie never shows anything about it. it's just one of those theories
Cap has one of those bracelets when he leaves to visit multiple timelines to return the stones. There's no reason he wouldn't have the ability to continue to jump, assuming he still had Pym particles (he could get a new supply of them in his new timeline, too, if he played his cards right).
>Also if that's the case, the shield is now missing from its original timeline. It's a Shield Out of Time.
So? It's not an infinity stone, it doesn't need to be returned. Cap was obviously done with it.
my and a coworker both yelled fuck yeah when it happened, I nearly came, glad it was Cap who did it, also the fact that Brie Larson was in it a max of 15 minutes was suchj a godsend ngl
>There's no reason he wouldn't have the ability to continue to jump
There's also no reason he wouldn't have the ability to kill people randomly as a serial killer. We can assume he did that too, right?
lmao, loser kys
How much has Fortnite (which is conveniently in this movie) made?
Versus some lovingly-crafted indie game?
There.
Also when Death tells him that if he kills adam Warlock she'll be his forever (Death was pissed that Adam saved her and that she was in his debt) he struggled with the idea and ended up not doing it. The implication being that he valued Adam's trust and friendship enough to not risk it for her, especially since he thought she could be toying with him.
Cap goes back in time and does things that doesn't change the timeline. Hence, the timeline doesn't diverge and after all, he was always there.
It's not BttF, but it is a mix of predestination time travel with multiverse theory.
>shitzam
>lovingly crafted
Nah Tony left a little girl without her dad and with her genes she'll grow up to be an alcoholic slut.
>comment
Why would they delete the first one?
>>the whole "he was peggy's mystery husband all along" is unfounded headcanon that you need to believe in in order to keep this shit logically consistent and you know it.
Thats literally what happened, retard
>dude, just sacrifice your memory to get the soul stone
it's not the memory stone senpai, someone has to die
You just made me realize Cap had to return the Soul Stone and did have a run in with Red Skull that we will never see
you literally cannot prove it you dumbass
So if they don't do Thunderbolts now it's a huge waste, isn't it?
This is going to be as close as the MCU ever gets to the exact setup from Thunderbolts, where Iron Man, Captain America and other heroes were wiped out by Onslaught and the only heroes left were the ones with bad publicity like the X-Men and Spider-Man, so the Thunderbolts come along to be the heroes the people can trust.
So if they don't announce it soon then it was never meant to be, I guess.
This was fucked up and there's no defense for it. The Russos were aware, right? They must have been.
Webm?
She enters the final battle all big and mighty, but gets jobbed and yeeted pretty hard after that.
