What's the verdict here anyways, is this truly Pasqualo or Aurora's soul? Is it an amalgamation? Was Aurora just a fragment of Pasqualo's consciousness and wishful thing?

And while I'm asking questions, should I actually start at the beginning with this? The It Hurts!! Christmas Special left me with a pretty final conclusion to the whole epic, and I'm curious as to whether this will stay a slice of life or veer into some of the crazier existential stuff and surrealist madness it's predecessor was.

Pasqualo has truly left the universe, in the pasqualo-shaped hole, aurora fills in. Because its still a pasqualo shaped hole, thats why the name and hair colour and such are shared.
Aurora was a guardian angel thing that was a part of Harmony, while owning her own persona and conscience.

I don't remember male Pasqualo having a harem at all, Allison is not interested on him after "Oh God", Trish also worked for him but was not attracted to him and Katie only start showing interest on him in the last pages.

I think they realized pretty quickly that Tubsy's great in small doses but there's not really that much there for anything more than that. His entire "heh, he's so awesome" shtick would get old really fast if he was in every comic plus he tends to turn Ally into mush and throws off the entire dynamic.

Patience is a way better core cast member in that respect and her jokes are way funnier. I've never actually liked Tubsy though so I may be biased.
