Which show had a worse decline in quality?
Which show had a worse decline in quality?
Johnny Bravo.
Including the PPG reboot?
PPG reboot should not count since it's completely separate so Dexter
You're right. Season 4 was utter shit compared to 1 and Especially 2 and 3!
Dexter should have ended after Ego Trip
Dexter. PPG still had the occasional good episode, but Dexter became painfully bland and lifeless.
This. They completely changed around the dynamics, the tone, and straight up retconned shit in Dexter to the point where it felt like a completely different show. PPG stayed fairly consistent in its original run.
But post Egotrip is so different it might as well be a reboot.
Savino deserved it.
PPG still had some solid episodes in its last three seasons, even if as a whole it was much weaker than the show in its prime. Not to mention the movie.
Dexter maybe had one good episode during its entire post-Genndy run, with a completely different look and feel.
If you count PPG’s reboots it’s not fair though.
Clearly Dexter
Later seasons of PPG are god-tier
PPG at least looked good and remained entertaining. Dextar had shit and gross animation and was painfully unfunny after return.
Savino fucked up Dexter. Not just with the designs but the plots as well. Monkey was barely in it and the Justice Friends were in only one episode.
One show had this kino
The other is dexter
Dexter after Gennedy left for fucking sure.
What is it about movies that destroy cartoons? I can't think of a single one that remained the same or got better.
>rugrats
>Powerpuff Girls
>Spongebob
>Dexter's Lab
>Fairly Oddparents
Probably more i'm not thinking of.
South Park was still good, though there was a noticeable shift in focusing more on current events. It helped that they made the movie pretty early into the show's run.
I was also going to say Mask of the Phantasm since that carried on with BTAS, but that actually illustrates your point just like the others.
Why couldn't they get Jack?
If you're of the opinion that FOP only jumped the shark after Channel Chasers, then it already had another movie by then (the muffin one) while still following its course
Wasn't he working on a movie at the time?
PPG. The action was almost nonexistent and felt lazily done. It also seemed it was trying to focus on inane shit like the episode about the mayor and his broken toaster or the one where Mojo makes everyone in Townsville speak like him. Savino Dexter at least had some classic episodes like Go, Dexter Family! Go! or Dad vs Dad.
I can't think of a single one that remained the same or got better.
Courage.
powerpuff girls by the sheer force of the reboot.
Ben 10
Shit went full retard after the art change
Courage had a movie?
No. I misread the post and thought it was just about cartoons that remained the same or got better; I completely forgot the part about movies.
