A while ago I was horsing around with a template but I was too slow to post my image before the original thread died.
It's a fisherman-themed superhero with a smart net that he controls with his glove, changing its mass and rigidity. He's also handy with low-tech weapons like his backup knife.
It's based on a very old idea of mine but I never actually thought about his appearance before. I wish I knew how to make the suit look sucky (it's meant to look like a net too).

Just start drawing things, preferably from life rather than just photographs or pre-existing drawings. Don't worry about being the best, and while others may disagree, I've always found art and drawing to be all about expressing something, and is just as important, if not moreso, than capturing something accurately. Don't worry about perfectly refining everything, especially if you're still learning. Being able to capture a sense of emotion or feeling through art has always been more admirable for me than something technically impressive but ultimately less lively than a more expressive piece. Hopefully you could make sense of this.

I made a greentext handling all the exposition, but I can't be assed to go back and draw the beginning part of this story that introduces the setting and shows how this started as a normal maintenance mission before this Peridot was distracted and crashed her ship.
Obviously she's killed by the giant Sapphire that emerges from inside and realizes she's been ratted on via Peridot's distress call, but it's missing so much... and I don't think I did a good job showing that the Peridot is hallucinating and fails to notice the giant because all she sees is a small Sapphire, and that she's actually freezing her with her ice powers.
