iirc, it's a 50x boost to their base powerlevel, which sounds like a lot but getting into SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSJGSSJ it's not much. Superman is at least on par with SSJGSSJ, and probably even further beyond that.

Because Dragon Ball is inherently a different sort of narrative than a God being victimized by an ordinary bald man and cloudy weather. It's about challenging the self and seeking self improvement. To improve, Goku throws himself up against legitimate challenges. He has no idea if he will succeed most of the time. There has to be a chance for failure at a task for one to learn from it. If it was easy to do, that only meant it was within your current ability. You've learned nothing. Gained nothing.

Dragon Ball, on the whole, is about adventure. Particularly the child arcs, it's about going off somewhere unknown and facing the unexpected with everything you've got. Not knowing what challenges one may meet or if they are ready for it. It's an entirely different thing from a narrative where super beings incapable of physical, emotional, or spiritual growth (as they are already as strong as they ever will be) wait around for trouble to happen to justify their existence as gods.

SSJ3 Gotenks and Super Buu were already capable of that in Z. The Z-Fighters have also grown significantly more powerful since then. Especially them in their base form. Super's SSJ3 is signficantly more powerful than Z's SSJ as a result. Beerus using a fraction of his power against SSG Goku nearly destroyed the entire universe.

What you forget is that DB characters are the best definition of glass-cannons. Amazing energy projection attacks, but pitiful physical strenght and endurance. It doesn't matter if someone can destroy a planet or a galaxy if they can't withstand one punch from Superman, specially when he's not the type of guy who would let his foe charge his attack.

And even if they could release the attack, they need to do a direct hit to, probably, just make him unconscious, and we know how stupidly fast is Superman. Also, the DB characters would deplete their energy after that failed attack and then it's game over.

Most of the Frieza scrubs at 500-1000 is capable of blowing up planets.
'Capable' meaning that they can't actually do it because they are not properly trained in the arts of mystical Ki fighting bullshit.
Which also means they are turbo scrubs because they can't fight somebody at a lower power level which is more skilled.

In comics nobody have real feats because there is no combat phase, its just bricking each other trough stuff. There is a lot of martial arts and gunfire in human superhero stuff, but not in the superhuman tier.

Power levels have already been confirmed to be worthless in and out of universe. The humans in DBZ worthy of mention job to anything above street level in marvel or dc. Androids, Freeza, and saiyan hybrids fare better but job again to the next tier. Goku and Vegeta only seen strong because toriyama refuses to put his characters in danger. Even in super it's noticeable. Everyone must be gimped by removal of weapons or killing techniques or else they'd walk all over the main characters. You can try that because (insert name here) can do (insert thing here) then (insert name here) can too because he's stronger thing that all dragon ball people do but it doesn't work. In raw strength Superman will win everytime. Even more so if he uses his other powers or if he uses his max speed. Goku never goes full ham from the get go and that will be his downfall every single time. If you change his character and make him do so then superman still wins. He's more durable and if goku gets to be out of character then so does he. Take goku into space and he dies. Same goes for vegeta same goes for vegito and same goes for UI users. You'd have to majorly gimp Superman for Goku to win and at that point you can't feel good about counting it as real victory.

I never quite understood how Androids worked. They have no ki, so they in theory are only strong and durable because synthetic parts grafted in/on, and what they do have is the same as the other jobber humans. Yet somehow these robot parts, made on earth, by a mad scientist who can't even make his own parts that strong, can withstand blows/blasts from charged-up beings who can fuck up mountains and even planets, and deal blows that can knock an SSJ straight out of their 'form'. What was the in-universe justification to their strength? Call at least makes some sense. 17 & 18 are modified humans with an unlimited energy. Due to their unlimited energy, they don't suffer from fragile and their energy will not gradually decrease the longer the fight progress. Also due to their unlimited energy, their base is significantly more powerful than average. Can become more powerful with training due to the presence of organic parts.

19 & 20 are androids with energy absorbing capabilities. They are mostly machines and lack any organic parts. With exception to 20 and his brain of course. Unlike 17 & 18, they can't train to become more powerful due to the lack of organic parts. They can however become more powerful if they absorb energy from others.

The non-ki using humans such as Mr. Satan and Yajirobe are more powerful physically than the peak humans of DC/Marvel. They are both capable of superhuman feats despite lack of ki.

The ki using humans such as Tien, Krillin and Roshi definitely won't have any problem with anything above street level in DC/Marvel. They won't be defeating any of the heavy hitting villains of DC/Marvel but they should definitely be capable of holding their own against the mid tier villains.

You are underestimating the physical power of the characters in Dragonball. In Z, anyone with atleast SSJ3 tier power is capable of easily circle the planet several times over and punch through dimensions. And a few of them have grown significantly more powerful since then. Beerus is capable of casually destroying a planet with just a finger. Beerus using his a fraction of his power against SSG Goku nearly destroyed the universe when their fist collided.

Anyone with access to God Ki can breathe in space. Anyone that can form a ki bubble around themselves can breathe in space. And depending on the writer, some incarnation of Superman can't breathe in space.

You're overestimating DBZ and seriously underestimating Marvel and DC. You have to make the fights one on one and no powers outside super strength or flying to have DBZ characters win. If Goku can die by a laser blast and he's the strongest (leaving out GoDs because I never mentioned them) there isn't anything any of the characters can do durability wise to survive. You'd have to go OOC, which I remind you I said if one is OOC then so must be the other, there is just no chance. You can like DBZ and not have them be the strongest. Guys guys. Goku...can drown. Just to put this all in perspective. He's actually just a really strong man. He's not that hard to kill, objectively. He would not survive long in the depths of space (though he did manage to survive in the outer atmosphere, He HAS trained to breathe with minimal oxygen back on Kami's lookout)

Honestly I like dragon ball when the characters are vulnerable. When characters are too strong a series becomes boring, fights are uninteresting. A character working their way up and constantly improving themselves is much more interesting narratively. Knowing Goku can still lose is honestly more satisfying than seeing how much stronger he is than everyone. It's why I love Beerus' inclusion. He stands as this pillar to a height that Goku, himself, cannot reach.

Honestly the issue is that all of the greatest feats in Dragon Ball all center around using Ki. Beerus and Goku’s fight, Jiren breaking Hit’s time skip, Ultra Instinct, etc. Its why the majority of villains they defeat lose to ki attacks instead of punching them, because the ki attacks are much stronger than they’re regular fighting.
We’ve seen this ever since Z with Krillin’s destructo disc somehow being able to harm Frieza despite him being nowhere near as strong. Its why someone like Superman who is just much more powerful in a physical sense is going to end up winning fights against them because his speed and physical strength mean they’re gonna have to rely on physical attacks instead of ki based ones. Not to say they aren’t physical power houses but seeing as how Vegeta in Blue form died from a planet busting attack in RoF, they’re nowhere near Superman’s level of strength.

He started off as a good dad; he was consistent in that regard. The only things he was really guilty of was assuming that Gohan took after him when it came to fighting when it wasn't true at all, and as Gohan himself points out, coddled him far too much when he was young, which, combined with Chichi's tiger mom tendencies, resulted in the weenie we knew from early DBZ.

From then on, Goku just takes a backseat when it comes to parenting, for better or for worse. He treats the actions and accomplishments of his sons as their own, and doesn't believe that those actions reflect back on him as a person or a parent, such as when Vegeta calls out Goku for Goten going Super Saiyan in his fight against Trunks during the finals of the Junior Division of the Tenkaichi Budokai, and asks him how Goten's actions are his fault when Goten's the one who did it.

Goku's always been a good dad; he's just compared unfavorably to Piccolo and Vegeta parental figures because they both start from the bottom and work their way up, so we hold Goku to a higher standard because we didn't see him make those same strides that Piccolo and Vegeta did.

Hell, while Krillin's death is a critical factor in Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time, it's Frieza threatening to do the same to his son Gohan that pushes him over the edge and has him transform for the very first time. He even urges Gohan to take Piccolo and leave Namek because he doesn't trust himself to remain in control around his own son and not hurt him. It's a big reason why he remains on Yardrat to focus on learning how to control the Super Saiyan transformation, so that he wouldn't risk hurting his loved ones.

The "Goku is a bad dad" thing is more of joke. They even pointed out that it's gotten so bad that they tried to distance themselves from it in the late Cell Saga material. It was more of just a "if you take a step back and look at it, Goku's never around. We could make a joke out of it." It's just one of those things that became an out of control meme. And Dragon Ball Super didn't seem to help much, since it basically seems to be reverting Goku back to his personality as a 12 year old. Not to say he was a silly and dopey guy in the original run, but even Buu Saga, the arc that had the most wackiness knew when to have Goku be serious.

To be fair, even in Super Goku got serious when the situation demanded it. He got pretty fucking pissed at Black when he found out that he murdered ChiChi and Goten.

Pulled an evil planet that was the size of the sun and ripped its heart out. Pulled the entire planet with Green Lantern making a construct harness for him. Bench pressed weight equal to the planet for five days straight and asked "is that it?"

Superman has some busted feats and I haven't even gotten into the stuff that breaks the meta. Goku has to power up and shoot a ki blast to nuke planets. Superman can do that with his bare hands.

Yellow sun gives him his powers, red sun takes away his powers, and blue sun super charges his powers. He's a giant solar batter and it amplifies his powers.

This makes no sense, the color of a star just depends on how much heat it produces, with red stars being the coolest and blue stars being the hottest. How does a simple difference in temperature affect Superman's powers so differently?

It wasn't a bomb, it was more implied to be something more akin to a black hole due to the concentrated, chaotic energy that they were combining, pulling in and collapsing the universe. another example would be in the filler when Buu was screaming and about to "collapse" the universe. It was also heavily implied that Goku and Beerus would both die due to their clash as well, before Goku started punching at the proper frequency.

Also, Vegeta, who trained to get stronger than this in the next arc, died due to a planet being destroyed in beneath of him.

I don't think either not starting in full power is that OOC. Goku will not immediately go full power to buy time or gauge the opponent if he feels he can do it, it's not set. Superman does not however know Goku is not a street thug either. He also holds back at first. Superman could then try to bring Goku to space but Goku might just fight back to avoid going to space.
