Can Mina save this show?
Star Vs the Forces of Evil

Mina did nothing wrong.
The show's almost finished and most of this season's been a crock of shit, so I'm going to say no.
There's absolutely nothing that can save this show
Oh Rhombulus, your only crime was freeing a family man and giving his wife credit
She can die by Ludo's hands just he did to Toffee for all I care.
I still feel bad for Rhombulus.
Remember when him and Star were good friends?
Not only remember, it was one of my favorite episodes. Made me appreciate and like the guy.
Call me a husbandofag all you want, i don't care, Rhombulus does need some support since it feels everyone just abandoned him.
Mina is crazy and doesn't care about improving the kingdom, monsters are harmless without anyone to rally them to war, Eclipsa only cares about trying to bring Mewmans and Monsters together and free her husband from unfair punishment, Rhombulous is complicit in meddling in Mewman affairs, MHC are literal monsters that don't trust monsters for some reason, Mewmans are literal retards whose opinions shouldn't even be taken into account.
Moon has the right idea, let these idiots fix their own problems. Eclipsa could take Mina anyway
This show is terrible. You should watch Tangled
This thread has a proper title, so i'm taking this as the official thread.
>insulting Ludo
Unacceptable. He's literally the only character written properly, you absolute retard.
Calm down Ludo, you have you castle and brothers, take a break and go hug them. That'll calm you down.
It makes me want to vomit, but I can see them having Mina accept Meteora and Eclipsa after all because they're Solaria's spawn or whatever, and so she gets rehabilitated and HAPPY ENDING
Either that or they fucking kill her, but at this point I don't think they have the balls (PROVE ME WRONG). Also she's a crazy war vet so maybe it'd be seen as in poor taste.
It's like, Ludo WAS a worst tier villain, then he had his rebound arc that made him best character in the show, and then just, really NOTHING else
Shit Tier: Jeremy
>ludo
>villain
>...I don't think she's ???? wanted to...
Is that meant to say "ever"? It looks like it says "TUTR" or something...
IF it is "ever" it sound broken.
>I do not think she is ever wasted to
"she HAS ever"
Come on
Ludo is still better then them all. Except maybe Toffee.
how is rhombulus a villain, because of what he did globgor was able to prove to everyone at the coronation that he's a good guy
Ludo and Toffee are the only good villains the show's ever had.
Is it the same person posting this in every thread?
What will save the show is going all in on weird fetishy bullshit.
I elect a focus on feet, armpits, and the flagrant flaunting thereof.
Agreed
I want to lick that thin slice of flesh between Star's armpit and her tiny butterflysting tits.
Someone please post the Booth Buddies dress.
Especially if there's an episode where Jackie-Lynn Thomas hears through Janna that Marco's crush on Star was the result of magic and mashes his face in her armpit during a headlock as an attempt at being genial.
Gross user. But good call on the dinosaur dress, it's my favorite.
You know, I just have a weird fixation on complex structures in the human/mewman body. Feet, hands, armpits, knees... even shoulders and collar bones. All that machinery working under flesh, fat, and cartilage. Watching it work excites me.
Poor Star. She should have killed him when she had the chance
It's a very fun spot to play with, depending on how much chub the girl has. Also nice depending on how sensitive she is. The sounds she makes man. The sounds.
Can't wait for Ludo to win in the end.
fuck off
Literally half of season 2 was filler. We're used to it at this point. You're just a shill
Hmm, would if work for a reboot where Ludo was the main protagonist?
I want a reboot where most of season 1 plays out the same, but at the end of Blood Moon Ball, Marco admits the real reason he crashed the ball was that he was jealous and wanted to be the one Star danced with. They end up dating for the rest of the series until they find out about the whole curse thing, and go break the curse.
Then a couple of episodes later Star realizes that she's pregnant.
God I hope so
The show was fine. It ended with Battle for Mewni. That was Nefcy's ending. Unfortunately Cotugno took over and made her imitation SVTFOE fanfic product using the official name and calling it 'season 3' and 'season 4'. But we can and should ignore all that.
meteora and toffee needs to swap places
It's true. Big bad is defeated, Star realizes her potential, the Kingdom is saved. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better ending.
>everything that’s bad about this show is cotungos fault and my perfect girl nefcy can do no wrong
Nefcy was screwed
I cannot recall one single episode where Eclipsa cared about Monster-Mewman relationships, but somehow I can remember several episodes dedicated specifically to show Star pushing for Monster-Mewman relationships.
In fact, I cannot recall Eclipsa caring for her multiracial kingdom at all outside of her political image. We even got a Moon episode where even if she wasn't the Queen she still cared for her "subjects."
She is a terrible queen who only cares about her big monster c
Eclipsa does not give a shit about anyone but herself and her immediate circle of influence.
why does he sound like someones vegetarian uncle?
sooo did eclipsa and globgor actually know they can make babies together?
that mewmans and monsters can match like that?
This, but unironically.
Not even that. She likes Moon, but she lost her trust. She doesn't care about the Magical High Commission. Her only interaction with Glossaryck was to help her look for a spell to free Globgor. She doesn't really care about anyone else but Globgor, Meteora and Star. And even then, she betrayed Star.
She said it herself: "I did what I had to do for me. If the Magic High Commission and your mother thinks that's evil, call me a villainess."
Nefcy only wanted a Don Quixote-sque hyperactive Sailor Moon fan who thought herself a magical princess having wacky adventures with a boy who liked Dragon Ball.
How did we end up here?
Battle for Mewni didn't resolve everything. The clearly had plans for Eclipsa and Moon.
>How did we end up here?
Filthy Disney executives wanted a Disney princess then made it 4 seasons so Nefcy intentionally let the boarders shit all over it as a massive fuck you to everyone. Her own private joke that she tells her husband while he's fucking another woman.
You guys give BFM and Cotugno way too much credit. Most of BFM was garbage filler and I can't imagine one single person who isn't Nefc making the show go ass up as badly as it has.
Seasons been pretty okay, I dunno why people are saying it's been shit. It's sort of interesting that everyone has been fucked over or are justified in their worldviews.
It's going to be interesting how this will play out with Mina given, much like everyone else on Mewnie, she's a victim of the fucked up self fulfilling world Glossaryk accidentally kick started, but she's definitely not going to be the sort to conform to the new kingdom. This may give Rhombulus a chance to make up for his actions by helping stop her in a fairly peaceful manner but there's probably going to be a lot of hell before that.
Star is the only one of family to conquer the darkness in her own soul.
That's the thing, Eclipsa doesn't or didn't care about the politics, she didn't care about being a queen, she was just married to someone she hated in a job she didn't want to do. She's basically season 1 Star if she didnt have parents to have straighten her into a semi responsible leader and instead acted only on her desires. She's brilliant and isn't a bad person, but she's extremely irresponsible. She knows this. She was punished for it by getting put in jail for a few hundred years when at the end of the day she basically wouldn't have done anything wrong, aside from adultery, if she wasn't royalty and part of a bloodline tied directly to the magic font of their dimension.
tl'dr: eclipsa got born into a job and said fuck that I want monster dick. Her punishment was imprisonment and getting her entire kingdom replaced by another puppet monarchy. Everyone in this show is fucked and just trying to fix the big fuckup that is their current condition
Mina is a retarded soldier who couldnt adapt to peace times and now is trying to bring war back to have a purpose again. Thats a completely flawed motive, no matter how tragic or sympathetic make her character. She is a lunatic in a world that doesnt fit her narrative anymore and needs to be locked down in an asylum or put down for good.
What drives me craziest is the fact that the show will inevitably ignore the fact that Mina is a personification of how badly the Butterflys have failed their people over time. The show will fixate on how she's terrible for being racist, instead of acknowledging that she tried to support her kingdom by volunteering for what was essentially Solaria's mad science experiment, which completely ravaged her mind and body, and no one ever bothered to try to rehabilitate her. It's fair to say she needs to learn to adapt, but the fucking royal family could at least put in some effort to try to help her do so instead of writing her off.
I'm hoping they actually address that's she's a person broken by being manipulated, used and abandoned. She shouldn't get a full redemption but giving her a peaceful closure of slowly trying to find some place she can fit in the world that left her behind would be fitting given how much the show is emphasizing that all sides are in a grey area.
>how much the show is emphasizing that all sides are in a grey area.
I wish, but no. I fully expect them to paint her as irredeemable. The show is wildly inconsistent and arbitrary regarding whose trespasses get glossed over and excused and empathized with and who gets nuked.
Eclipsa does not deserve the kingdom. She gave it up, and I disagree with Star's assertion thst it was "dtolen" from her. Eclipsa's a shitty Queen and is so self-centered she can't see that.
Right, they just turned her loose on the multiverse. She could have conquered Earth for crying out loud.
Mina Vs The King Of The Burger
So she's Big Boss?
Eclipsa does seem to care about monster rights, given how offended she got at monsters having to eat on the floor. But that's all she cares about. She gives no shits about whether trying to force monster rights on a kingdom that's been all mewman for the past hundreds of years is doing nothing but escalating racial tensions, as long as it's a kingdom where she can live with her husband in peace. Star is the only person trying to make the transition go smoothly.
>all sides are in a grey area.
Not how I see it. It basically portrays Mewmans as 'the real monsters'. Bigoted pants-on-head retards whose monarchy is based on a baby rattle and who deserve to have all their land appropriated. The monsters can do no wrong and if they ate people, read minds, stole property, etc., we are supposed to handwave it away because they were oppressed.
>The monsters can do no wrong
I know you're projecting, but how Toffee was handled disproves this.
That's the thing, Eclipsa knows she's selfish, all her spells that she learned were only to help herself or her goals, she wanted out of being a queen and while she's trying to give it a try and trying to break her habits she very obviously only cares about her immediate family and trying to not be a bad person to Star. Star is literally forcing Eclipsa to take back a kingdom she really doesnt care to rule. It's not she doesn't care about the kingdom but she doesn't want to be in charge and she IS a bad ruler and very inexperienced. She's a 300 year old teenager that didn't have the same character development that any of the rest of the cast got over the last few seasons because she was in gay baby jail.
Mewmans and all the other kingdoms all have apparent ups and downs from both the show and the lore book from what I can tell.
Mewmans kicked out the native monsters and their use of magic has sort of made their monarchs unstable but they overall are a fairly industrious and flexible people that have helped maintain relative peace and stability amongst the other kingdoms. They're also a tool used by the magic Council to keep the peace and even their almighty Queens ultimately are easy to replace meaning they've been easy to manipulate and control. It's been for a greater goal of peace and balance but it's kind of fucked up. Mewmen aren't bad people and Moons generation has been a fairly chill if bigotted group. Monsters have shown both to be peaceful and horrible. They have some validation in the fact they are fighting to reclaim their home but Toffee shows it can also be a very personal and petty tool to reach selfish goals, even if he's reason to hate mewmen was historically justified. We know Globgor has eaten people and it should be resolved at some point as it seems it's still something eclipsa actually is unhappy to remember but also apparently there may be more to it that what's stored in legends.
>the endgame villain is the MC but better
oh damn I wish I could be hype for this show again
>ludo is shit tier
>not "best character in the show" tier
>mina isn't second worst only to ponyhead
I ought to slap you.
Go eat a snookers, Ludo
Dinosaur Dress :P
Where would Eclipsa fit in this chart?
I'm thinking, mid teir, she's just a selfish horndog.
she's not a villain at all, just like globgor
>how did we end up here?
See
Eclipsa also seems to care about Marco for some reason, given how she was trying to comfort him and give him advice about his feelings in Curse of the Blood Moon.
You don't think anyone would do that do you? Just go on the internet and tell lies?
This. Mina is mentally ill, and thinks that the royal family is the apex of authority, but was not present, or otherwise mentally fucked up, for the current integration reforms.
She was the subject of Solaria's super-soldier spell, and was raised during a time of constant war. Solaria herself was working on a spell that would have killed all monsters/non-mewmans, but was killed in an ambush. Bitch was almost the Hitler of Mewni, but was seen as good. Solaria was not, and probably won't be addressed on a show for children, because genocide is a non-Disney topic.
Mina was used like a tool, then abandoned instead of being retasked and retrained. It's what happened to the US soldiers/marines after WWI, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq-Afghanistan. The government lied, then used then as tools of war, fucked up their minds, and rendered them as damaged civilians while hoping they died quietly. What happened to her was fucked up, and should be explained as such. The right thing for the writers to do is to go down one of two paths;
>1
Give Mina a full emotional break down where all of the abuse and depersonification is laid bare, and shame the royals for allowing the damage to progress as far as it did.
>2
The more likely option; Mina carries out the dead Queen's genocidal goal and declares Moon a pretender to the throne, and Eclipsa as a traitor. She goes deep into lunatic-land, and maybe Solaria is even revived. Either way, Mina has no releif from the years of mental hell, and the pilgrims are still inbred retards with secret corn cobs up their asses.
