I enjoy it more than HiC
It's our only hope for another cleansing of the slate and a restoration from the horrors inflicted upon the Rebirth line since Didio reclaimed power.
I don't like capeshit, user.
Geoff Johns is cancer and his fans are braindead
Alls I kno is that DC better deliver on Superman vs Dr. Manhattan
Sounds like you're a Geoff Johns fan
It is shit but it is still better than Heroes in Crisis.
It's not been good but it's also been so fucked by delays I have no idea how I could give an opinion on the story as a whole until it's over
Wasted potential.
The snail's pace is dragging it down, exasperated by the constant delays, and the original premise seems to have been lost in however many rewrites Johns made.
Remember when he swore up and down this wasn't a DC/Watchmen crossover and Superman was the main character?
It's no Heroes in Crisis at least.
I've really been enjoying it. I'm looking forward to having it all out so I can re-read it one sitting. A lot of people dont seem to like it here, but hey, thats most things I guess.
Nothing can outdo that book in pure faggotry.
Manhattan obliterated almost every single DC hero (Including Supergirl and Captain Atom) at once with barely no effort at all and it seemed like magic doesn't do any extra or different damage at all.
I've got no ideia of how Clark would be a gamechanger, since he got hurt and at blink of death even by fucking FIRESTORM
Hm.
Superman has dealt with reality warpers before
I dropped it because it was taking so long it got boring waiting for new issues. I'll read it when it's over.
Not reality warpers who have so casually BTFO'd 90% of DC's heaviest hitters. Not usually. And when he does, he typically has some method to negate their powers or abilities to make a confrontation and victory possible.
He has no such advantage with Manhattan.
Lord Vyndktvx and 5D imps like Mxy cannot reality warp erase Superman AFAIK
This.
He basically only has left Batman, WW and maybe Constantine.
If they were to try to use the Anti-life Equation (I extremely doubt it), it probably wouldn't work on Manhattan. And he keeps mentioning that Superman may be the one to finish him, which makes no sense (only if Clark went Prime somehow but that would just be a writer pulling anything of the ass)
I’m mostly going along with it out of sick curiosity and the prospect of the JSA coming back. I think it’s kinda neat. I don’t think it’s somehow sacrilegious to get Watchmen characters involved.
It’s bad but not as terrible as everyone feared initially. I just want it to be over already. The pacing is awful and the delays certainly don’t help
>And he keeps mentioning that Superman may be the one to finish him, which makes no sense
That's why I think Superman might pull out a win if they fight, Dr. Manhattan says so
It's going to be some lame shit about Superman showing Manhattan the meaning of hope or some shit so that he realizes that nihilism and determinism are lame and he should start being a good guy.
And the really "clever" theme behind it will be "Watchmen had an influence on the DC Universe by making superhero comics darker, so now Superman is having an influence on Watchmen by making Dr. Manhattan lighter and happier and helping him fix his world."
That's it. That's the story.
What does Manhattan have to do with the DC universe/dc rebirth?
Is this just a big thing to get Watchmen in the DC canon/continuity
Manhattan has basically been fucking with shit ever since Flashpoint. Many of the events thus far have been orchestrated by him out of some morbid curiosity to see what it will take to get Superman to actually come at him full force (which his awareness just completely blacks out at, which has never happened before).
And then Superman teaches Dr. Manhattan the true meaning of Christmas.
If it's going to be this, I'll love it.
That's what Superman stands for, hope. It'd be a great use of his character
Not him but would dr Manhattan be a good foil for him?
I mean there was some optimism and hope for him at the end of watchmen where he was like "I'm gonna create life" or whatever he said
I think it'd be a perfect task for Superman. And Manhattan himself probably was affect by the DC universe, by seeing lots of genocidal and cruel characters.
There is some hope in him, but he's been isolated for so long that it's dormant.
the new roshack is shit
He's not Scrooge McDuck.
Oh I see. I'm on issue 4, does ozymandias die?
sounds cute :)
Currently on the latest issue, he's alive and kicking and doing his manipulative stuffs he does
Johns is pretty hit or miss and lacks self-awareness.
All Star Batman and Robin Part II
You guys are all forgetting Ozy is still out there
If I had to bet, I would say that Mr Mime and Discount Harley are the ones that save the day. It's too stupid and nonsensical to escape Johns.
Marvel drone here. Can someone explain what the doomsday clock is about? I only know its DC and Watchmen crossover. What happens that is controversial?
Nah, he's a serviceable writer. There isn't a single overly offensive panel or dialogue in Doomsday Clock.
>hurr durrr Alan Moore made me write edgy books
Johns is a retard
